Breakfast Burrito + Tumi Tea Latte
Stephanie H.

Order at the counter upon walking in. They have a good amount of seating and is a nice spot to have a conversation and/or get some work done. Pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed the breakfast burrito. I also tried the "Tumi", a tea latte. It was on the sweet side, but a nice compliment to my meal. They have self-serve utensils and water along the wall (on the same side as the windows/doors). The interior feels a more on the dimly lit side, likely due to the dark ceiling and mural. In search of some breakfast I landed onto this place via help of yelp. Craving something light, delicious and savory this was an easy choice to go with. Parking was easy as it was Sunday morning and there's only street parking so luckily I found it right in front. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the staff members regarding the menu and on placing orders. Ended up ordering the breakfast burrito with longanisa, the Gallego pancakes along with a strawberry matcha and a ube matcha. The burrito was warm, healthy, savory, right amount of kick of heat with the verde salsa the bit of crunch from the hash brown was top tier. The pancakes were a surprising as I wasn't expecting them to be crispy. Not only crispy, but warm, fluffy, rich tasting and the berry compote was the best. The 2 matchas both ube and strawberry were delicious. The ube definitely wasn't a strong overpowering combination but I liked the strawberry one more as it just tasted more refreshing and a good blend all together. As I was getting closer to finishing my food I noticed this place got a lot more busier. The place is definitely family friendly, tvs placed in different areas to watch a game and they had a movie playing for kids as well good place for family and friends or just a simple grab and go, it's not too noisy either. Parking can be tough and yes, you may have to wait a bit to order and get your food depending on how busy they are but I would honestly rate this entire place a solid 8.7/10. Definitely would come back to try more items off their menu when the opportunity is there.

Cool Asian fusion spot to hang out. Ambience: Hip and modern with high ceilings, eye-catching wall art, and a strong Asian fusion vibe. Parking: Free street parking (1-hour limit, not enforced on Sundays or holidays), plus garage and metered street options (also free on Sundays/holidays). Restroom: Two unisex restrooms. Very clean and bright. Code required for entry. Cocktails (Chinese zodiac-themed: fun touch): * Pig - Ginger Rose Daiquiri ($15): Rum, ginger liqueur, rose, cranberry * Rabbit - Jasmine Gimlet ($15): Gin, jasmine tea, lime Food: Chicken katsu and ube/pandan cookies are standouts. Happy Hour (Mon-Sun, 3-5 PM): * $11 cocktail specials * $10 beer + well shot * $5 herbal lemonade * $5 "1987" They also rotate seasonal items: I saw options like overnight oats with chia and kumquat. What's interesting is their pricing style, lots of repeating numbers like $7.77 or $8.88. Even the table and order numbers follow the theme. I was seated at table #8 and got order #88... might be a sign to buy a lotto ticket ;)

It's giving cute and chique. The dragon mural was 90s photo shoot vibes. At first walk-in I was in love. I thought it would be a coffee shop but it was so much more than that. Service was really quick and moved the morning line with ease. We got the 1987 and the caramel sea salt cold brew. For food I got the avocado toast and added smoked salmon. The verdict : coffee yum, and toast good . Would come back .

Custard French toast

Came here excited to try the Ube Latte which was great but the French toast was disappointing. It begs for syrup or coconut milk. It was extremely dry and hard. Really hard to eat. Imagine a dry stuffed French toast that's dry inside and out. Wasn't good to me. The coffee was great and service was good.

Service was quick despite it being busy and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. They have one of my favorite ube iced lattes although it can be sweet. The breakfast burrito presentation is creative and fun to eat with some nice salsa.

I love their coffee shops so we were excited to try this spot. I was looking forward to try their custard filled French toast. Maybe in my head I thought the custard was going to be creamy and thick but it was dry and a very thin layer. Couldn't really taste it as it wasn't a creamy custard. Their breakfast sandwich was good. And I saw other dishes that looked delicious. The drinks were good. It's a beautiful place with plenty of seating indoors and out. Parking can be difficult since it's downtown.

The vibe of 18 Grams epitomizes why people visit Midtown on a Saturday afternoon. It's a lively brunch place that suits most occasions whether it be studying alone, large-group meal, or anything else in between. It appears very lowkey from the outside -- just their restaurant logo without a clear title. However, the inside is filled with beautiful elements such as a Chinese-themed lion painting encompassing the entire wall and an abundance of plants. I dropped by for a virtual work session, and this place checked all the boxes. The booth seats are as comfortable as they are spacious. The interior looks spotless; even the restrooms left me quite impressed. Hip hop + R&B plays through the speakers at medium volume. My herbal lemonade tasted refreshing. The herbal tea infusion almost tastes like a light strawberry. This is my favorite productivity spot in Sac at the moment. You're missing out if you don't have pay it a visit!

If you're looking for a place that does brunch well, this is the spot! They have a good variety of sweet and savory items. Items we ordered were the loco moco, steak and fried rice bowl, and the chicken and waffles. Everything was fresh, full of flavor and seasoning, and I will dream about thar fried chicken. I wish I lived closer to the area, this would easily become my go to places. You order at the register then take a number and the food is brought out to you. We came on a Sunday late morning/early afternoon and the wait for the food wasn't too bad. Parking is fairly easy to find there is street parking along the road.

We came on Mother's Day. Each table has a QR code to order food and drinks to be delivered to your table. We ordered the Longanisa Sando, Ube French Toast, and the Thai Iced Tea. We loved it all. My sister lives across the street and we love Filipino food so this was such a modern take on it. I can't wait to take my Lolo and Lola to see what they think.

I came to "Forever by 18 Gram" Food Lounge to celebrate my girlfriend's friend's birthday. I didn't realize it wasn't a full-service restaurant, so I was a little surprised and honestly a bit bummed. I thought it was a regular sit-down restaurant, but it's actually self-service. You scan a QR code and order online. If that's the case, there really should be a bigger and clearer sign explaining that. Also, if customers are ordering online, there needs to be a visible WiFi sign posted. Service can be spotty depending on your carrier, and I had to walk up to ask for the WiFi password. That could've easily been avoided with better signage. I ordered the Loco Moco. The flavors were good, but my food came out cold. If the food is prepped ahead of time, it should at least be heated properly before serving. I upgraded to fried rice for an additional $3 charge. The staff was okay - the lady I spoke with wasn't snobby, which I appreciated. And I will say, they have really good iced coffee. Overall, it was a bittersweet experience. With clearer communication about self-service and making sure food is served hot, it could be much better. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

I walk up to the counter and asked for the Mango Sticky Rice and the guy who helped me, idk what his name is had an attitude and was like we're out of it. I'm thinking to myself, sooo if you KNOW you're of something that's popular and on the menu, maybe you should put a sign somewhere stating that it's currently NOT AVAILABLE. Then I had to call back home to let my siblings know that the initial drink they wanted was not available, so they can choose something else and again the guy taking the order wad annoyed. My siblings decided upon the Mangonada with brown sugar boba and the iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha. Unfortunately, brown sugar boba was not available was all out for the day according to the cashier.. but no sign stating that they were sold out. I had to call my siblings again to let them know and ask if they wanted crystal boba as a replacement. To keep the order going while I was calling them, I asked for a mochi waffle and the guy threw his hands up annoyed and was like do you not want the boba for drink? I told the cashier I'll have the crystal boba instead of the brown sugar since it's currently unavailable, and the guy goes with an attitude... soo do you want the crystal boba? I said yess...yes I do. The Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha was alrightt. It is definitely not all that it is hyped up to be. The drink IMO was just a basic iced matcha with chocolate drizzle on the side of the cup and the pistachio foam that barely tasted like pistachio.
