Rib eye and skirt steak. We subbed the fries for a side salad.
    Lariza S.

We have dined here 3 times. We keep coming back because they prepare and cook their steaks wonderfully. Delicious, flavorful, cooked to the way we like it (medium rare). We usually get the skirt steaks or the ribeyes. Delicious! We recently tried their provoleta (grilled cheese) to try something new. It was good. But chewy. I wouldn't order it again but I'm sure other people would like it. We will try other apps the more we come. All in all great food and they have wonderful and friendly servers!

Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food: 5/5 - I've been here several times for over 15 years now. This time we ordered the Parrilla Buenos Aires. It comes with bone in short rib flanks, Argentine Chorizo, blood sausage, a skirt steak and more. The meats were so flavorful and perfectly seasoned throughout. Personally, the standout was the short rib flanks, outstanding. We also ordered bread with chimichurri and some wine. The food here is consistently amazing and I plan to come back any chance I get when in the area. Price: 5/5 - $58 for a tray of amazing meats with some sides is a bargain. You can find similar items at other restaurants for closer to $100. If we did not op for the most expensive glass of wine in the building, we would have easily been under $80 for a meal for 2 with food to take home. We did end up buying some of their house made chimichurri and tomato salsa (not sure what to call it). Service: 5/5 - Top notch customer service. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, not much more you can ask for. Ambiance: 5/5 - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, modern, casual but also feels classy. The World Cup game was playing on the TVs helped give it a more fun atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was my 2nd time eating here. Today I ordered the Buenos Aires Burger Lunch special with salad. Good size burger. The only negative I have about the burger is that it was over seasoned. I personally feel that less seasoning on burgers is better. It would have been nice to actually taste the flavor from the meat. It was a bit on the dry side even though it was slightly pink. My friend had the Steak Buenos Aires and she loved it! The Chimichurri sauce and bread were very good and if you love garlic you'll love the sauce! Our server Cadela was very nice and circled back to our table several times to check in on us. Next time I'll try a completely different dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance has a comfortable vibe and there's plenty of seating inside with a couple outdoor tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As an FYI...the menu states "A 3% Kitchen appreciation charge is added to support our non-tipped kitchen team. And an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to the bill for parties of six or more. Thank you for your support."

It has been a while since I came to the Buenos Aires Grill. This Argentinian restaurant has been a popular ethnic food fixture and is located on Corbin, in Northridge. They are sought after for their Empanadas. However, they also have an interesting menu that encompasses both lunch and dinner Argentinian favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Come here and the ambiance and music transports you quickly, to Argentina.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This time, I was interested to try one of their $15 lunch specials. My eyes honed on the chicken paella. Unfortunately, they were out of it, apparently for the past few weeks. So my next choice was the grilled filet of Merluza, a dish I have never had before. Merluza, is a white fish that is popular in Spain and Latin America. The dish could be served with either french fries or a salad. I chose the former. The fries came out cold. I sent it back and requested a fresh batch. When they reappeared, I got thinner sticks of potato, maybe the bottom of the batch, that were hard and unimpressive. The fish though, was not bad. It was different, had a mild, but definitive texture and was grilled optimally to keep its soft body intact. There was color and a mild, but flavorful sauce on top. Service was attentive and friendly.

I finally had the opportunity to come back to this restaurant last night with my college buddies for our hangout. I had to call the restaurant to make reservations because online they don't accept if the party is bigger than 4 guest and we were a party of 6. I got a text that our table was ready early and since we were already there early, I checked in and got seated. Our waiter was Hugo and he was amazing with his awesome customer service. They will give complimentary bread to start off. I got the churrascos de Lomo which is 2 filet mignon at 6oz and I asked for it to be at medium rare. It also comes with fries and I asked for the chimichurri butter to be on the side. My friends got the entrana gaucha steak which is the grilled skirt steak, Steak Buenos Aires which is skirt steak with rich mushroom sauce and milanesa de Lomo which is a crispy, breaded tenderloin steak. Our food didn't take long to come out and when they did, we all loved our dish. The taste, texture and presentation was all amazing. We got charge extra for being a big party and also gratuity was automatically applied. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here to celebrate the life of my boyfriend's grandpa. It was the perfect spot because he was from Argentina! we were a big party and the staff was great and fast with their service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was very cute and I love the energy that it brought.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] everyone ordered pretty much the same thing. I don't know what it's called but it the thin fried chicken or steak! It was so amazing and very filling. Loved that it had great flavor. Overall it was a beautiful experience!

So me and my wife were craving for some meat that day and thought of going to mercado buenos aires as we've been there before, so i started searching meat resto here in yelp and came across this resto in northridge called buenos aires grill. We thought that this is the same resto because it has the same menu. we're not sure but decided to dine in here anyway. They recommend reservation. Good thing that they weren't busy on the day we came so we were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The resto looks more like a fine dining rather than a regular resto. Interior were very good. So conducive for eating with your love ones. Very clean place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server started taking our orders and we got a chica parilla and the sirloin steak plate with french fries. We also tried their beef empanada. We enjoyed every bit of our bite. Their meats were so tender and very flavorful. I told myself oh maybe mercado BA is the same as the BA grill due to same taste and their parilla except that BA grill is more of a fine dining resto rather than a fast food resto. The empanada was ok but still delicious. The Inca cola was different. A taste we've never had before and it was very good! The staff were very nice and gave us an excellent service. Highly recommended to all meat lovers out there. Overall 5 stars!

Friday night out with the family I can only say one word, Excellent ! Ariel was our server, he went above and beyond to make us feel at home and welcomed. The food was hot and delicious. The Milanesa steak and chicken is alway perfect , the steak was packed with flavor and sizzling on a hot pan, the Filet was cooked to perfection and the fries are so good you can't stop eating them. We stayed for dessert and had Panqueques Argentinos ( crepes filled with dulce de leche topped with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and caramelized sugar) with a cappuccino, thank you Ariel for all your suggestions and great service. I can't say much about the host, ill leave it at that.

We had the parrillada completa, the malbec empanadas and cheese and onion empanada. The parrillada is for two but four of us ate. With the empanadas it was enough for four. The empanadas and the meat were amazing. Don't care too much for the chorizo. Tasted more like German sausage than chorizo. The parrillada also comes with a side salad and fries. Wish we would have ordered one or two more sides, as they were small. The fries tasted like the frying oil needed to be changed out. Food came out fast but the service was slow. They definitely need more servers at rush hour on weekends. We couldn't even get a refill for our water or the check. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was nice and more on the upscale[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant was very loud with all the conversations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food was all amazing! The bread and chimichurri sauce are a great way to introduce you to the wonderful flavors that you are about to experience. The empanadas were tasty and a great appetizer. To try the best of the menu we got the Parilla pampas. The meat was wonderfully flavorful and filling. The Cesar salad and fries were both tasty and delicious accompaniments. The sangria was nicely balanced, not to sweet, not to strong. The service was great! The waiter asked if we had questions, and was helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the restaurant is casual but feels like a fine dining establishment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The complete meal was so tasty and satisfying. Definitely worth treating yourself if you are in the area. A must try if you love steak.

Very enjoyable dinner at the BAG. Because I grill my own steaks at home at 1/3 of the price charged at most steak houses, if I do eat out at a steakhouse, I prefer Argentinian or Brazilian style since they offer a variety of cuts. We got two different parrillas. Both very hearty, tasty and reasonably priced. My wife usually skips skirt steak but she actually liked it here. Flanken short ribs were also excellent. Love the short rib empanadas. Good selections of Argentinian Malbec and blended wine by the glass. Fast and friendly service. Next time you crave a steak, check out BAG if you are in the Northridge area.

We decided on Buenos Aires Grill for Valentine's Day and we are so glad we did! My husband made a reservation, and we overheard that there was an hour and a half wait but we were seated immediately in a cozy booth. The restaurant feels like a great spot to catch a soccer game. They had a special going on with a fixed menu but my heart was set on their steak with chimichurri butter and it did not disappoint. We started off with the empanadas beef and spinach, which were absolutely delicious! For dessert, we had the tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. We were very pleased with the service and will definitely be back. Highly recommend

My family took a rare outing to this restaurant in order to celebrate two college graduates, and we received above-excellent service, food, and time in a lovely atmosphere. Everything from the new host's manners to the manager making a deliberate decision to come and greet my family (multiple times) made us feel so special and welcomed into what could be considered an intimidating environment. Brandon displayed an extensive knowledge of the entire menu, answering any of our questions and making any adjustments or exceptions to our inquires. My sister has celiacs disease, and he ensured that any dish would be safe for her consumption after the necessary adjustments--and he was right! We're so grateful for such caring and intentional service, this establishment was such a breath of fresh and calming air in such a busy world (especially the high-end dining scene). He was also friendly! We made great banter and lovely chatter throughout the night, which was a nice and personable touch to such a prim and proper setting. As for the food, we ordered a great variety of cuts and cooks of meats, sides, and loads of carbs!! We would recommend the Filet, the Ribeye, and the Lobster- any cook suffices for any preference! Brandon gave us some pointers based on his own experiences and tastes, and it delivered big time! As for the sides, the Lobster Mashed Potatoes along with the Truffle Fries were the biggest hit! After Brandon memorized every one of our orders, including customizations, he helped to box and package our food that we didn't yet finish. The most warming surprise was the special deserts that Brandon brought out to celebrate our graduates-- a complete surprise! Once he realized that my sister couldn't eat her desert (the delicious butter cake) as it contained gluten, he immediately reared back to the kitchen and picked up a lovely strawberry sorbet for her, it was some of the best we've had. Everything that this establishment runs is conducted in a professional, warm, and respectful manner. They manage to find the precarious balance between approachable service while also maintaining an air of posh confidence that accompanies only the finest of dining. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart Brandon, the head manager, and our lovely busser (who we also had lovely conversations in Spanish with!). Give everyone raises immediately ;)) We enjoyed feeling like luxury for a night, and if your family is searching to feel like royalty, even for a few hours, then Larsen's Woodland Hills has got to be on your list!

Entering the restaurant, you are surrounded by an elegant decor, white table cloth tables with well selected plate settings. While they provide complimentary bread, I was tempted to try something different: the milk bread with lavender honey butter at $6. One bite and it was the wrong choice for me. Too sweet, both the bread, the butter, with no contrasts. I had to return it and they kindly took it off the bill. Instead, the complimentary sourdough bread with the two accompanying butters was a major hit. Both the butters, the Champagne Brie and the Onion Cabernet, one was better than the other, and truly unique. For lunch, it was my desire to try the 2-course Prix Fixe menu. Of the two starter choices, it was Brie Mushroom soup for me. A well balanced thick soup, nice brown color and with a tasteful silky body. Out of the 3 main choices, I opted for the Petit Cabernet. It comes as a 6 oz hand-cut filet mignon, topped with danish blue cheese butter (garlic butter for me, instead) over cabernet demi-glace, sautéed spinach and a campari tomato (yes, just one). The dish arrived at the table nice and hot and superbly arranged as a dynamic presentation (see my pictures). You could smell the steak grill, and appreciate the charring. The spinach was fresh and the tomato succulent, not mushy and plump with an heirloom flavor. To put it mildly, I was truly blown away. In my experience at steak houses, it is rare for a restaurant to check out on all the boxes, with flying colors. I asked tor the steak to be medium rare and every bite was exactly that, no dry areas. Each slice of meat was juicy and when mixed with the cabernet demi-glaze, it took me to another place. Then the knife, well sharpened, cutting through like butter. Also, the optimum balance and complimentary seasoning between the accompanying sides of spinach and tomato. All this cannot impress without stellar service. And that is what it was. My server was Steven G. He and the manager Manny, kept checking on me numerous times. Every time I disappeared to the rest room, my napkin was changed to a new one and laid out in perfect position. What else can I say. I did compliment them both on the exceptional care, service and food. And walked out after having one of the best steak meals I have had, for a very long time.

Mac and cheese looked like a soup!!! My wife hated the cocktail too. We had to change our drinks; blueberry something it was called. Weird Sweet drink with more sugar on the glass rim. It was complete chaos as people were canceling left and right and more people were flooding in as the reservations backed up I hope God helped them through the night. It's one thing to lose power unfortunate yes, but to not have a backup generator and then not even take care/compensate your customers is an abysmal excuse for management and a restaurant, not to mention the blatant theft attempt.

She made us feel welcome and truly elevated our dining experience. A special thank you to Tyler as well for his warm hospitality and professionalism. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, and the exceptional customer service from Sonia and Tyler made our visit memorable. The steak was good and cooked well, but it had more fat than I personally like. I still think Ruth's Chris has a more flavorful steak. The crispy chicken sandwich was also good. The bun was soft and fresh, and the chicken was cooked perfectly with a nice crispy exterior. My favorite part of the meal was the shoestring fries. My biggest issue was the price. For what you pay, I expected to be more impressed. The food was good, but I don't think it justified the cost, and I would probably stick with Ruth's Chris if I'm in the mood for a steak. The service was average. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. Overall, it's a solid restaurant, but considering the prices, I don't see myself coming back for the steak.

It was my girlfriend's first time dining at Ruth's Chris. We were craving a good steak for a while. We were asked if we were celebrating anything special when we checked in with the hostess. I briefly mentioned our anniversary and they asked us to wait a couple minutes to get our table ready. We waited maybe 2 minutes and were escorted to a table to our surprise that had tiny hearts and specialized menus that displayed "Happy Anniversary". Nothing extravagant but the little things like this make a difference in showing they care. We were greeted within 5 minutes by our server for the evening. His name is Frankie and if anyone dines at the new Canoga location, I would highly recommend asking for his section. Frankie is everything you could ask for out of an attendant waiter. For a Saturday evening, it was pretty busy so I always give servers the benefit of the doubt and understand that sometimes checking in every 5-10 minutes can be difficult depending on staffing and the amount of tables assigned to the server. Frankie, even though he served the whole section we were sat in, clearly knows to manage his time properly. I used to work as a shift lead for a family restaurant. Frankie executed a perfect balance of check ins, brief but classy and humorous conversation, and an absolute delight and honor to have him join our special evening. I always prefer to leave a 20% tip because I know what it's like to be an employee of any restaurant, but it's pretty rare for me to feel the server fully deserves it nowadays. I ordered an extra side just so the total would help increase his 20% tip and give Frankie some extra sales productivity. All in all, the food was delicious, they provided a complimentary cheesecake that I was quite impressed with, and the manager even came over to introduce herself and check how we were doing. Just know that Frankie really took our experience over the top and the staff as a whole made sure we were treated with extra care. I'm happy to say we will definitely return the next time we are craving a steak and will most definitely be asking for Frankie's section again.

The chefs apparently believe their aging customers have dead tastebuds and increasingly strong overwhelming flavors are replacing the exquisite subtleties that made Ruth's Chris famous. As an added bonus, the regulars are friendly and welcoming! The filet sandwich is my personal favorite and I do not recommend the crudo... the sause is so strong the fish might as well be cardboard and the pickled ginger is awful.

I've had oyster shooters before and loved them but didn't like their take on it here. Way too much horseradish and the vodka portion was way off (too little vodka) and unbalanced. Oysters Rockefeller - 4 1/2 stars. Quite meaty and delicious, such a great flavor and take on this classic dish. Crab Cake - 4 stars. Quite the large portion, and quite good! Miso Chilean Seabass - 5 stars. This was excellent! It was cooked perfectly with a delicious miso sauce, served with a tasty jasmine rice and steamed spinach. Short Rib w mashed potatoes - 5 stars. No notes! The meat was soft, tender, and rich and flavor and the potatoes were also excellent. Our waitress (who was fabulous) brought out an ice cream Sunday to celebrate the birthday occasion and I have to say it was also fabulous! It was an old school brownie sunday with gobs of delicious hot fudge and sprinkles and an item I would definitely order upon my next visit. I didn't realize they had a complimentary parking lot in the back, that's a huge bonus. Would definitely come back here for a special occasion, this spot is solid!

We were able to walk right in and grab a table as the afternoon rush was over. First, it is a cute restaurant with nice ambiance inside. You can also eat outside it looked like, but it was hot so that was not going to be an option. Started with the mini crab cakes and the tuna on crispy rice. The crab cakes had a good amount of crab in them, which was really nice, but they definitely tasted under seasoned. The tuna on crispy rice was great though, topped with avocado and a spicy mayo. Nice crispiness on the outside, soft rice in the middle, good flavor, just a nice bite. For entrees we tried the chimichuri steak sandwich, the French dip and the lobster roll. The lobster roll looks the part but was light on the actual lobster, in our opinions. Felt the bread to everything else ratio was really off, so it feels like mostly bread with some lobster here and there. The chimichuri steak sandwich comes with arugula, gruyere, roasted peppers and grilled shallots and was a decent bite but not overly memorable. The French dip, on the other hand, was really tasty with that au jus and melted cheese. That was the real winner. Overall, nice ambiance, drinks were decent, some misses and some hits. If you go, definitely get the French dip and the tuna of sticky rice, slip that liner roll and the mini crab cakes and up to you on the chimichuri steak sandwich.
