Pretty good overall. About average service. The restaurant was small, but had a nice outdoor patio. It was about 4:30pm on Saturday & it was not busy so one would expect faster service. I'd say the best part was the drink. The tacos were very average, but tasty. At the end of the day it could have been better, but I'm full. I was a little skeptical eating at this spot again since the last few times I was there my dishes did not taste as they should have, must of have been different cooks those 3 times, so I stopped going for a few years however we recently ordered to go food on a Friday and it was delicious. I had the Mariscada and it was delicious, portion wasn't as big as I remember them being but non the less it was satisfying. My girlfriend had the shrimp cocktail and she also loved her food. With that, we will be eating here again more often. read more

This unassuming restaurant is located in the same corner lot as McDonalds! I usually order the Seafood Mariscada! It is a HIT every time! My fave dish! The girls are all so lovely and sweet! The food is consistently delicious! And I know every time it will hit the spot! read more

Last night at El Riconsito was amazing, not only was the food amazing the customer service was phenomenal. Our hostess Estefania greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, with these times and face masks its difficult to read people's facial expression but Estefania made sure we felt safe and comfortable every minute we were there. We had quesabirria tacos with consome and the cheese would just melt with every bite. This restaurant is a must. read more

While I really enjoy their food. I feel the service is lousy. Went there a few months ago and was shocked they charged me 6 bucks for sour cream for my fajitas. I questioned it , then the server suddenly couldn't speak English. Like who charges $6 bucks for a tablespoon of sour cream? We went there this evening and waited 15mins for water. We noticed several tables that came in after us being served before us. The server never came by to ask if we needed refills, so I stopped her while walking past us and asked for water. It literally took 15mins. I noticed she was very tentative to her own people. It's to bad cause it's a place we really like. One of the best Mexican food places around. Very decently priced meals, decent service. Place could be a little cleaner but since the food is so good, I'll over look that fact. I guess what I'm saying is, this place is a def fav of mine. Take a look at the photos. Pics don't lie...they put care into their food from what we have seen. My first machaca was 20 years ago at a restaurant in downtown Hollister (could never find it again) and I was blown away about how delicious it was. This place is complete overpriced. They don't have menus and force you to scan a QT code for their online menu. This menu has no descriptions and most items are missing photos. This is a problem if you don't speak Spanish. Also really hard ordering for a family with kids this way. The server was cold and could care less if we came in. Every drink we ordered (beer and margarita) have a ton of salt inside and outside. Couldn't finish either drink. $160 for our family!!! I will not be going back. read more

3rd visit...so this place doesn't have a lot of breakfast options especially for someone who doesn't eat pork so I tried getting a carne asada, egg and cheese burrito (not on their menu) but they dont offer subsitutions. I don't get why they couldn't just do it at a higher price(I definitely would've paid extra to eat something I actually want), instead I had to eat something else, a vegetarian cheese sandwich with burn eggs and bland potatoes. Went back yesterday (11:50am) to try the dining experience for lunch. WARNING! Lunch special starts at 12:00pm. Not even a few minutes earlier. You get NO chips/salsa until after 12:00pm. The regular lunch menu is $2-3.00 more, but supposed to include salad and I would assume chips and salsa at least(?). We got no salad with our meal- and she just came back to present the check. Went here a few times during the last week. Both times we order the super burritos and nachos. The first time all the food was great. We paid just over $40 for the three items. This second time we ordered the asada nachos were a bit less on the toppings and the asada meat was way over cooked. To the point of it being burnt. It was a big disappointment after the first time of the food being great. I guess lessons learned here is to never thing that a restaurant will be consistent with their food. The cook should have been embarrassed to have served that poor quality of food. read more

Gave this place a try and the waitress Itzel who helped us was so nice. I had the Alacarta Taco birria and chicken sope and both were delicious. My husband ordered the El Rey Barril which is a chelada including prawns. He loved it! Will be back!!! read more

I have never experienced any restaurant like this. I came here with my daughter and her happy meal for lunch. the staff told me that we were not allowed to bring in outside food. we had numerous people in our party and I've never had someone tell me that my child couldn't eat their food with us as a party of five . the worker was rude and declined us service just because my daughter had a happy meal with her. I cannot believe this is happening in America with all we live for and all the chaos happening in the time of our lives. I wouldn't eat here ever . To start off it was our first time here, the wait time to get our food was over an hour and wasn't busy for the amount of time , this was a picture of the shrimp in the 7 mares looks rotten and smelled nasty so un safe to eat and the steak was really dry .
