So happy to have found a nail salon in the neighborhood that I like. The staff is very friendly and the salon is clean and well taken care of. I have had zero issues with their service over the past few months that I've been going to Buff N File. They take appointments and have easily accessible parking. Pro Tip: GoldBar Coffee Shop is across the parking lot, just to the North. Grab a coffee before you come in. Great family run, local business. read more

I really enjoyed this place! They had a really nice atmosphere and a good clean set up. They were very nice and talkative with my sister and I. My only complaints would be that it was $100 for both of us which is a little much and I did get some small cuts while she filed down my nails. Other than that I would definitely return! read more

I've been going to Buff N File nail spa for almost a year, and they almost never disappoint! I had one poor experience with a nail tech, but that was an anomaly - everyone else I've had has been amazing. My dip-hybrid nails can last up to a month with zero chips! Every color on the wall has a gel version, so there's dozens of options for you to choose from. The interior of the salon is clean and trendy - complementary water on arrival, too! It's clear that the community has caught onto the goodness happening here, because it's frequently packed full and you might experience a wait for services if you don't call ahead for an appointment. read more

If you are looking for a cheap but somewhat nice place. This is the place. Don't expect too much out of this place. You get what you pay for. First One of the male techs started working on my nails, but he didn't seem very friendly, and another lady took over later. She was nicer and friendlier and did a good job painting my nails. read more

Came here for the first time based off of raving views from a bunch of friends. Everything was great from the start. I got a chunky glitter SNS manicure and it is textured differently than your standard glitter so I understand it may take a strategic technique to complete the color. The nail tech got was assigned to didnt seem accustomed to the type of glitter and my nail was left feeling sharp and grainy. The front host was so helpful in getting me squared away as well as the manager. I'm also personally not a fan of gel top coat on SNS because I find that it peels but she assured me she knows the correct technique to ensure the peeling doesn't happen. The fact that I was justified in being upset about my nails and it was corrected. That's amazing customer service! I did not leave feeling like I wasn't taken care of. read more

I had been here previously and Nia did a great job. However, for my second visit I did not have the same experience. My appointment as at 5pm and they closed at 6pm, although their Yelp page says they close at 7pm. Anyway, the the whole appointment felt very rushed and by the time she was done she left polish all over my hands and around my nails. I had to ask for acetone on a cotton pad to take it off myself because it didn't come off when I washed my hands. If you do end up going here just don't go before they close. read more

I like this nail place but there's a guy in there is horrible.. I showed him a picture of what I want and didn't get it .. If you are "NAIL TECH" you shouldn't be questioning your work. It doesn't match, they all crooked and uneven.. This how I'm suppose to look on memorial day weekend. I'm sooooo disappointed big time. He make me don't want to get my nails done EVERY again.. Pros: I got in quick on a Friday afternoon. It's new and nicely maintained. I believe the owner was the one who helped me sign in, she was pleasant and welcoming. Cons: As my tech was at another station grabbing a file and as he was talking to a coworker she immediately looked at me in the face while he was talking. Then when she noticed I was looking right at her then back at him her face became very guiltily. Then he had the nerve to do it again while grabbing my polish, different employee same response. Honestly I think he was upset that I jumped and said ouch while he was filing the gel from my toes. This is a practice I'm used to but I've never been burned or scraped until now. Just got a gel manicure and classic pedicure and I'm so impressed! I have been to many salons in my new neighborhood and this is officially my regular spot! Though the salon was busy, the staff took care of me quickly and I was seated almost immediately. Both Tom and my manicurist were perfect and their attention to detail is amazing! The classic pedicure includes more than I was expecting (massage, hot stones, warm towels) for an impressive price of $24. Let me start by saying that the pedicure I received was great! I also received a fill using the sns powder and OMG it was the worst nail job I ever had!!!! They were not shiny, not the same length AND some of the nails are thicker than others and they're grainy like little specks of dust were imbedded!! Ugh now I have to pay to have them fixed. They offered to fix them but I was already there for an hour and my kid needed to eat. Go for a pedicure and find a good nail artist.... read more

I would not recommend coming here. A young man in a Gucci hay did my nails and he didn't listen to what I want, when he filed my thumb crooked he wouldn't fix it and made me do it myself. When I made it straight it was shorter than the rest of my nails, but he was unwilling to file the rest to match. Finally, when he put the top coat on he didn't activate it beforehand so they came out not shiny and they took ten minutes to dry. When I asked why they weren't as shiny as when I get them done at other places he told me that dip was like that and isn't as shiny as acrylic. I haven't gotten my nails done at many other places and gotten smooth, shiny nails. Just don't come here. read more

I found CJ through Yelp and had to come on here to confirm that everything everyone else says is true. I moved to AZ from California about a year ago and have been on a seemingly never ending journey to find a nail tech that truly impresses me and I've finally found just that! David is hands down one of the best artists! He gets me in quickly even when I have a last minute appointment need! Personally, I am not super adventurous with either the shapes or color/design choices of my nails, and David helps me try new things all the time! He will file a single nail into a specific shape and let me decide whether I like them or not before continuing with the rest, and he will bring several different color choices for me to pick from. I never feel rushed, never leave with cuts, and my SNS lasts 3-4 weeks without any sort of breakage! read more

This is the only nail salon I will go to! After having some less than favorable experiences at other nail salons in the Mesa/Tempe area, I am SO glad to have finally found my go-to salon. Nancy, the owner, is super sweet and it's really obvious that she works hard. Although the place is fairly new, the salon gets a lot of traffic, probably because of the top notch service. I love how upfront they are with their prices, unlike other nail salons. Nothing shady going on here at Buff N File Nail Spa! Plus, the decor is SO cute and stylish. I can tell Nancy takes a lot of pride in her salon. You can get a stamp card if you pay in cash, and you get a stamp for every service that's $25 or above. Ten stamps gets you $20 off. They have a really wide selection of nail polish colors and several times they've offered me a water bottle. Thought that was sweet. I love going here, I'll never go anywhere else. read more

Buff N File was fantastic! I was referred by a couple of my friends. It was clean, cute, AND affordable! My nails have held up so amazing since my visit last week. For a full set of acrylics and gels it was only $38! Compared to some nail spas I have been to I thought this was a very fair price. I also really enjoyed my time spent with Nancy. I Came September 5th. I didn't like the shape or design or service at ALL. I never wrote a review before... i had to settle for what the ladies Said they could do but still didn't deliver.. I mean look at the difference. This wasn't even what i originally wanted but the lady couldn't do the first look i came for i also came for a peddi but the girl took so long for this ugly set that they had to close by the time she finished messing my hands up. The picture on the left is what she said she could do,and the RIGHT was what she did. She Didn't even finish, and did crap of a shape job and kept messing up so she filed them so much they ended up 3 times shorter then what i asked‍ SO MUCH FOR MY BIRTHDAY NAILS. They still scammed me charged me $75 to f*ck my hands up. Didn't even clean my cuticles and took 3. 5 hours for this. 18 years of experience.. that's sad. The lady also kept saying she had to go because her son is waiting and she's late... HOW IS THAT MY FAULT!? And on top of all that CJ offered to fix my nails for $100 more since "her work didn't have nothing to do with him" yet work in the same shop... he laughed as he watched his co-worker screw my nails up. DON'T WASTE your money. They don't promote or put up their prices like professional salons do because they overcharge and scam for anything. They kept changing the prices and couldn't agree on anything until i mentioned i didn't like anything and kept telling the lady...to fix them every 5 minutes. I feel SCAMMED & robbed. I forgot to ask her name but the manager was also unprofessional as she wanted to charge full price for a botched job. Worst experience ever. I don't wish that on anyone. This SHOULD be illegal to charge. read more

The quality of service I received was beyond excellent. Vicky was so knowledgeable and laid back. So easy to talk to and genuinely wants her clients to have the best nails. She doesn't rush and I truly appreciate that. That atmosphere was laid back. The salon it's self was trendy and clean. This place is amazing! I accidentally got super thick acrylic nails at another salon, and they fixed them up, really brought down the thickness, filed them to a reasonable length, and basically made me feel normal again! David applied the gel, and he was quite the perfectionist! I tried the cat eye polish, and it is SO COOL! They described the look to be a "solar system," but I think it looks like I have gorgeous marbles on my fingertips. Highly recommend! PS: I live in Denver and was in AZ on a work trip. I may plan future nail jobs around my work trips in the future! read more

Shortly after starting there, my waxer left and the one the store assigned to me next was BRUTAL (I have a very thick, full beard, so getting the edges waxed needs to be done correctly). Therefore, I researched the waxers on staff and saw that Alicia had gotten outstanding reviews, and specifically concerning my needs, and I have been going to her ever since. Alicia does so well, I recommended my best friend to go to her, since his girlfriend likes his face completely smooth, but, his beard grows in like mine, and her tips from each of us far exceed the paltry percentage she gets per customer from EWC. European Wax offers year long passes, where customers can go as often as necessary, and I since I need to go every two weeks to minimize the how much hair is being pulled at one time, I started getting those, since it would save a lot of money. I have five months left before the current year is up. My best friend also bought a year pass, after experiencing Alicia's skills and the lasting results. In the time I have been going to this location, the store has gone through SEVEN managers, with the latest one being Courtney, who has been there a month and a half. And now, Alicia is fired. Funny how the SIX managers BEFORE Courtney, did not fire Alicia, so, it should not take a rocket scientist to figure out who is the problem. Since my waxer is gone, one I trusted and counted on to do the job right (and we always have a great rapport), and I hold those in charge of the store, above the manager level, responsible, I will NOT be coming back to European Wax Centers, ever, for my business. I also want the balance of my pass fees refunded. When I talked to Courtney, she said she could only give me store credit. When I asked to for the corporate number, she said that the location was a franchise, so there is no corporate tie. After some digging, I called Courtney back and asked to speak to her bosses, Lauren and Jacqueline. She said she would pass the message. After not hearing back from either of them, I went into the store and asked her in person for their numbers. She said she could not give out the numbers, but, had left a message with them about my, "concerns". Later, she called me back and claimed that I had gone enough times that there would not be any prorate left on the balance. I do not appreciate European Wax Center for bouncing Courtney from the San Tan Village location to the Tempe Market Place location, because she could not work and play well with others, there (funny thing about the internet, things of record NEVER go away), and I do not appreciate Courtney for firing Alicia when six other managers prior had the management skills to not fire her, nor do I appreciate her gatekeeping the contact information for her bosses. But, that's ok, I will find it and let them know what I think.

My waxer, Ari, is always professional and making sure I'm comfortable. Plus their rooms and restroom are always so clean and spotless. Recently I've also started using more of their products. Ari suggested The Reveal Me exfoliating gel and the Smooth Me ingrown hair serum. They are now part of my regimen and have saved my skin (legs, underarms, Brazilian) from further scarring of ingrowns I was battling with for years. Highly suggest those two products for anyone else dealing with the same issue.

You're telling me the waxer can't take a call??? I stood outside the door for 10-15 mins not one worker goes and checks the front to make sure no one needs help??? What kind of service is that? I literally speak high of this location after today not so much.. they have one waxer so you have to schedule based off her availability.. what about your customers availability?? I changed my work schedule to make this appt.
