Stopped here for dinner on a Fri night while visiting VA Tech with my daughter. 7pm - was busy but we were seated right away. Friendly service, food was good. Mix of tables & booths as well as a large bar. One thing I didn't like was they didn't have prices listed on their cocktail menu - found that odd.

One evening after work my friend and I were craving chicken wings so we decided to grab some at Buffalo Wild Wings! Luckily Buffalo Wild Wings has a deal on Tuesday that makes their traditional wings almost half off. As we walked in we were seated and service overall was really good. The sauces that you can choose from for your wings are huge! They have such a wide variety. I decided to get a medium. I got the Thai curry, Parmesan garlic and Bourbon honey mustard. The flavors were good, especially when I dipped it with blue cheese dressing. Overall, going to Buffalo Wild Wings is great for chicken wings. I have went in the past for other things beside the wings such as their burger and it was not very good.

Nothing special about this place, just a typical sports bar. The food was good, but the fries I ordered were a little dry. The spice range on the menu is very accurate, we underestimated it and got a nice surprise when we bit into our boneless buffalo wings. The service was ok, but other than that the place is good for a casual, finger food dinner.

Pretty standard sports bar, lots of flavors to choose from for wings. Can get wings with different crispiness as well.

This is a no brainer. You know what you're going to get here, good cheap happy hour, consistent wings and the wedges are great.

Awesome wings, I have tried the hottest flavored wings here, and they are real killers!

Slow as can be, always new waitresses that are learning. Food prices are too high for frozen boneless chicken heated up with sauce.

Asian Zing and Mango Habanero are amazing! Buffalo chicken sandwich rocks. Don't forget the potato wedges!

great wing sauces, but small wings. Beer is a bit pricey, but it is a pretty good place to watch a game, and play trivia.

Blacksburg is located in the New River Valley area of Southwest Virginia, in Montgomery County. Bull and Bones has an ample parking area, which is located directly in front of the restaurant. There is an outdoor seating area which is directly in front of the restaurant. There is also a large seating area inside the restaurant, as well as a large bar. One nice feature of the bar is an ice coated surface which allows customers to keep their drinks cold. There are also pool tables and video games located inside the restaurant. This is the second largest bar/restaurant in Blacksburg (Top of the Stairs in downtown Blacksburg being the largest). Customer service is excellent and always fast and efficient. The restaurant serves mainly American food, which is of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. I live in Blacksburg and am a regular at this restaurant.

I remember my visit was a special one as it was busy, yet the service and food were impeccable. Bull & Bones put their best foot forward that night and I left Blacksburg thinking that B&B was one reliable dining spot. Neal & I returned on 11/15/25 to check out Tech's football game at Florida State (our hotel wasn't televising the game). We were in town to check out VT v. Charlotte - a basketball game that featured some promising young talent for the Hokies. Of course, I arrived at B&B with high hopes since my previous experience was a memorable one. Unfortunately, my latest visit wasn't quite as good. The evening began well enough - there were plenty of available seats at the bar and we were greeted almost immediately. Our server was nice and pleasant, and returned with our drink orders promptly. We took a few minutes to look over the menu and we were able to order without issue. We weren't in a rush, and the vibe was fairly chill. I didn't expect top tier service, but there were stretches in which an employee couldn't be located in order to get continued service. For example, our server was cut (yet no one informed us) - we didn't see her after she took our dinner orders. I looked around constantly to ask for another round of drinks, but she wasn't around. While waiting for our entrees, what appeared to be the manager on duty stopped by to tell us that our entrees may take a while because our ticket was sent to the kitchen right behind a 40-top's order. He was apologetic, but we were cool with it because of the game. Surprisingly, our food arrived less than 10 minutes after the manager's table visit - we probably wouldn't have noticed anything was wrong if he hadn't said anything. I appreciated the transparency, though. I saw it as one of the evening's highlights. After the food arrived, it was a constant struggle to find any available server (as a reminder, no one told us she was cut). Refills and/or more rounds of drinks were held to a minimum. That irked me - it got to the point where I went to bar whenever I needed something (I wouldn't have minded doing that during the visit, but they set the expectation by providing table service - meaning I want table service for the duration). Neal ordered wings, while I decided to go big with a ribeye. Neal devoured his entree but I wasn't happy with mine. I ordered the ribeye rare - it came out nearly well-done. My entree came with two sides - I ordered sweet potato fries and rice. The sweet potato fries were overcooked and burnt. I tried one fry and one fry only because it was charred and inedible. The rice wasn't much better as it was cold and mushy. Since a garlic parm fries appetizer was already at our table, I loaded up on that since they were pretty good. The steak was passable since it wasn't completely dry, so I ate about half of that before I became full. So, B&B was a miss, imo, this time around. It would be easy to dismiss this as things going haywire during a busy Saturday night dinner service but, outside of the 40-top, they were empty. So, this visit felt like B&B's quality has gone downhill. I hope this isn't the norm for B&B because they honestly are a good place. But after time, some businesses lose their focus, and it felt like B&B reached that stage. Hopefully they can re-evaluate, reinvent, refocus and improve, but if their food quality continues to suffer, they won't last. Thank you, Bull & Bones. JV

I love a good theme. I especially love when a restaurant is creative enough to implement a theme…read moreand stick with it. The theme at Lost in Taste is space. (Get it? Lost in Taste? Lost in space?) From the shiny chrome restaurant exterior that resembles a space ship, to the menu that has things on it like The Black Hole (a black bean burger) to the Creamy Spudnik Soup (potato cheddar soup, basically). It's all outer space, all the time, at Lost in Taste. I visited Lost in Taste with a group, and we all got a bunch of different things. One of the things that was first on my list to order was a cup of coffee. And even though I was visiting for a late lunch, they had coffee brewed and ready to go. Sweet! That perked me right up. My group got a few different appetizers for the table. We got the Canis Comets, which are huge hush puppies (think palm-sized) served with blackberry jam and round balls of soft, salted butter. They came three to an order, and they were delicious, and definitely enough to feed six people because we cut them in half. Another appetizer we ordered was the Big Bang Shrimp, which was breaded shrimp topped with a drizzle of signature sauce. These were delicious, too! The Big Bang Shrimp come eight to an order. One of the people in our group was a wing aficionado, so we also got the traditional, jumbo, bone-in wings, which are served with chips. There are nine different sauces to choose from, and we got the wings slathered in Jupiter's Storm, a mango habanero sauce. Very good! I don't typically like bone-in wings because I think they are a scam, but I appreciated the sweet and savory flavors of these wings. As for me, I got the Caesar salad (meh) and the B.L.I.T. sandwich: bacon, lettuce, interstellar tomato and mayo. It was very good and huge! If you like bacon, then this is the sandwich for you. Lost in Taste is space themed, but it also has an old-fashioned diner vibe. It's a fun restaurant to visit if you want diner food, and also be surrounded by space.

The space theme is clever -- from the play on words in the restaurant name to the decor and menu items (I have to give credit for "Bobba Fettucine Alfredo"). It was a fun touch, although the restaurant itself has more of a casual diner feel inside and out. I ordered the ribeye sandwich, and while what little ribeye there was tasted good, I definitely wished there had been more of it. We also tried the grilled squash and zucchini, which improved once we added our own seasoning. My sister ordered the potato soup, but unfortunately it was way too salty to enjoy. Overall, the staff was friendly and the concept was creative, but the food itself never quite launched into orbit. There are definitely some bright stars in the idea behind the restaurant, but the flavors didn't quite reach escape velocity for us. I'm glad we explored this little corner of the food galaxy, but based on this visit, it probably wouldn't be a repeat mission.
