I went in to watch game six of the world series, and it really was a fun experience. The place is too pack on the weekends to really enjoy, but since this was a Wednesday night, I had quote a bit of space to myself. The sports experience was fun. The waitress, Melissa, was very friendly, the wings were tasty and reasonably priced (they have 40 cent wings on Tuesday; that would have been better), and the wait was reasonable. If you're OK with a packed house Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night, it's a great place to disappear and enjoy sports on their large television screens. They purport to have wifi, too. read more

We ordered Buffalo hot wings and Thai curry wings. They were both super flavorful and spicy hot. It's one of the most authentic buffalo sauces ive had in Nashville, and the wings were big. The loaded tator tots (w/ chesse and bacon) are also tasty with the wonderful 'Irish' onion dip. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was very fast on a busy Saturday. Boneless wings came out cold the first time and we sent them back. They came out cold the second time and we sent them back. The third time they came out in Togo containers and had the wrong sauce. Went for lunch with a co-worker. The service was a little slow, but it wasn't too bad. The server and maybe a manager came by and apologized for the delay a couple of times, so they did acknowledge it, really before I even noticed. I ordered the Southern Philly, which I highly recommend! It is pretty darn close to the real thing, except a little spicier! They use queso instead of cheese whiz, which I understand is the not-so-secret ingredient for the originals. I also had a side salad, but I was disappointed that they didn't have a spicy option in their salad dressings. I asked for the Parmesan garlic wing sauce, instead, which was awesome!!! I am extremely annoyed. I decided to make an online order and scheduled to pick my food up about 40 before the pick up time. When I got there i patiently waited for the woman at the front desk to get off the phone and she told me it would be another 5 minutes until my food was ready. I proceeded to watch as 2 other orders were given. I sat there waiting for 20 minutes before another woman asked me my name and told me the food had been ready for a while. I understand waiting 20 minutes for food isn't long but I feel like online orders should be ready at the time they are supposed to pick up, that's the reason I decided to order online than in store. Happy Hour gripe: Not sure if it is the General Manager, Manager of the Day, the Bartenders, but the worst thing you can do is short your customer. Especially now-adays when EVERYONE carries a very accurate clock and they are all on the same time. BWW in Hermitage has bumped up their clocks about 10 minutes. So when you think your getting one more happy hour drink, or maybe your 1st one, just under the 7pm end time.... NOT. The worst thing is all the wait staff knows what is going on. I asked several of them and none of them even had to look for a clock. I show them my watch, everyone at the table holds up their cell phone and they just shrug their shoulders. You have a restaurant full of people eating and drinking and watching a game that has not even started.... we are going to be there a while. I don't have any complaints except the beer is sort of high priced. I almost always get boneless wings so I'm not up to date on the food here. Good boneless wings though! Welp, will not be coming back here. I normally order the buffalo Mac and cheese, and they were out of Mac and cheese which is understandable. But what wasn't understandable was telling me this once they brought out my boyfriends food. I then had to order mine and he had to wait for them to bring out my food. I have a thing for hot sauces. I get a kick out of seeing how spicy I can make my food. At a burrito place I used to frequent in the Washington DC area, they had a whole wall of hot sauces. It wasn't their burritos that I loved so much as trying a dozen different sauces. Which of course leads me to BWW. I've avoided reviewing any real chain restaurants, but for the sake of locals who may not have been there, I'll add a quick two cents. There are a few things that make me really like this place (probably more than I should): 1) I dig the variety of aforementioned hot sauces. My favorites are the Asian Zing, the Parmesan Garlic (yes, it sounds nasty on wings, but it's really good), and the Mango Habanero. If I'm feeling like regular old buffalo sauce, I tend to order either the Hot (if I'm eating with someone else who doesn't share my tolerance for spice) or the Wild. The Blazin', which is technically their hottest sauce, and the Medium both simply don't have enough flavor for me. 2) The specials rock. As others have mentioned, Tuesday is 40 cent wing night, and Thursday is 60 cent wing night. I go on Thursdays, as I'm not a big fan of fighting off the skin and bone by myself. The wings are pretty big (not the tiny nuggets you get at some other places), and most important, I would say the quality of the chicken is very good. If you're interested in trying multiple sauces, the only thing you have to know is that the minimum order on these special nights is 5 wings per sauce. If for some reason you can't come on a special night, I might recommend you try the Tenders. It's obviously the same principle as boneless wings, but with longer strips, and you get fries with it all for $8.99. 3) There are TVs galore. If there's a big game on, it's probably on one of the TVs, and regardless of where you sit, you can probably see. While the separation of the bar area and the dining room is a little artificial (both are laden with TVs -- in fact, there are probably *MORE* in the dining room than in the bar area), you do at least have a choice. 4) The BWW satisfaction surveys add extra value. I'd estimate that 1 in 4 times I've been, I've gotten an invitation to take a survey on my receipt. The surveys are quick and painless, and you get a coupon code good for 6 free wings on your next visit (expires two weeks from your original visit). I'm a deal-hound, so this not only appeals to me but also is one thing that keeps me coming in more than I otherwise would. 5) If you don't feeling like watching a game, a couple of the TVs have trivia and/or Texas Hold 'Em. Your server can give you a handheld device so that you can compete with others in the restaurant or at other locations. I've only done it once, but it was amusing. I don't have too many complaints. It can get pretty busy, especially during prime-time sports events. This in turn can slow down service. Don't expect that just because it's a bustling place that your food order will arrive two minutes after you order it. That said, the servers have always been friendly and pretty attentive. People tend to bring their kids in, which can be irritating. I realize I'm going to catch flak for this, but cmon, folks. It's a sports bar. Their answer would probably be "just sit in the bar area and there won't be as many kids," which is true, but it's just flat-out nicer in the dining room. I try to tune it out. Even that one time when the two year old picked up mommy's glass of wine and threw it on the floor, shattering it into a million pieces. (Why was the child in reach of the wine? Who drinks wine at a BWW anyway? These are questions for the ages. I saw a dude in there one time eating solo with a bottle of wine. That had some "wow" factor. But I digress..) My biggest complaint is probably that you get reamed hard on beer prices. If you check out any other bar or restaurant in the Hermitage area, you're going to get a better deal on beer. That said, they do have a large selection (including the Yazoo line, and a current Blue Moon seasonal which is pretty good), and the beers have always been fresh. If you go on wing special nights, when you add it all up together, it turns out to be a pretty good deal. I dig it. I feel like I shouldn't give 4 stars to a chain, but given that it's Sunday and I'm already planning to go on Thursday, giving BWW less would be criminal. read more

The company has decided to cancel their beloved Wing Tuesday deal and replace it with a Buy One get One Free Boneless. Came on a Sunday at 12:30 sat on the patio. Coming from 7 years in the industry - it takes a lot to warrant a negative review. I understand being short staffed and things happen but our waitress was negative, rude, argumentative and unapologetic! It took me 30 min before I had to walk to the server station to find another waitress just to get my water I ordered ! There we only 4 of us, we ordered wings and those took 2 hours to get those in which the food runner explained they had to be remade. The server never apologized or explained anything. We had to ask other waitresses to get the dressings that we ordered with our wings. If it had not been for the fact that we had a fantasy draft in process we would have walked out ! I never promote not tipping ! This was an extreme case that honestly could have been less infuriating had we got an ounce of apology, kindness, acknowledgment from our waitress but we will NEVER go back to this location and will pass on the disappointment and distaste to friends in the area.
