We were in Hendersonville and hungry, so my wife, our 10-year-old, our 3-year-old, and I decided to stop at Texas Roadhouse. Thanks to the online check-in, the wait was actually pretty quick. Once we were seated, we were greeted by a very kind waitress who was clearly doing her best. To be fair, the place was absolutely slammed with a line out the door, so I have no complaints about the staff working hard. Then things took a turn. Our food arrived, and the music kept getting louder...and louder...and louder. At first we thought it had to be a mistake. Surely someone would turn it back down. Instead, it just kept increasing until it was literally hurting our ears. You could see everyone in the restaurant looking around wondering what was going on. Then a line of female servers came out and started doing one of the restaurant dances. Maybe that's part of the Texas Roadhouse experience, but I couldn't help but notice it was only the women dancing while the male staff stood by. It just felt a little odd. The bigger issue, though, was the volume. Every table around us was talking about how unbelievably loud it was. Our 3-year-old completely melted down. He had both hands over his ears and was crying because it was so painfully loud. We took him outside hoping to calm him down, only to realize the music outside was almost as loud as it was inside. The speakers around the building were blasting it across the parking lot. The only place we found any relief was standing near the dumpsters. By that point, our son refused to go back inside, and it pretty much ended the meal. We boxed up our food and left. I've been to plenty of Texas Roadhouse locations and expect them to be energetic and loud. That's part of the fun. But this wasn't "fun loud." This was concert-venue loud. It honestly felt excessive, especially for families with young kids. Judging by the conversations happening at the surrounding tables, we definitely weren't the only ones who felt that way. Texas Roadhouse is good for a quick American comfort food meal. Plenty of options on the menu and the sides are good. Everything is made in house. I would not use Texas Roadhouse for a family meal. There are so many distractions you are not going to communicate much. Service is industrial. The greeter sends you to one of several waiting stations to be seated. (They put a slip of paper under your table that a manager then collects when they check in with you later in the meal) Servers come to your table at preset points and take drink/food orders. I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the unacceptable treatment my aunt and I experienced at your Texas Roadhouse location in Indian Lake, Tennessee, on September 26, 2026. I took my aunt to your restaurant for a steak dinner because she is currently battling cancer. I wanted to give her an enjoyable evening and a chance to get out and have a nice meal. Instead, our experience was extremely upsetting and completely unacceptable. After we were seated and placed our order, we waited approximately one and a half hours before receiving our food. Our order was not brought to us until after I spoke up and questioned the staff about the delay. What was even more frustrating was that no one provided us with a valid or reasonable explanation for why we had been left waiting for so long. During this time, I observed tables around us occupied by white customers who were being served and receiving their food without the same delay or problems that we experienced. We were left waiting while other customers around us appeared to receive prompt service. Because of the difference in how we were treated compared with the surrounding customers, I am deeply concerned that our treatment was influenced by the color of our skin. From what I personally witnessed, the situation appeared to be racial discrimination and unequal treatment. This treatment is unacceptable. No customer should have to sit for approximately an hour and a half waiting for their food while watching other customers receive normal and timely service, especially without receiving a legitimate explanation from the restaurant. What makes this experience even more painful is that I brought my aunt, who is battling cancer, to your restaurant hoping to give her a positive and enjoyable evening. Instead, we were made to feel ignored, disrespected, and, based on what we witnessed, potentially discriminated against because of our race. I expect Texas Roadhouse to take this complaint seriously and conduct a thorough investigation into what happened. I would like management to review the time our order was placed, the time it was entered and prepared, the service records, and the circumstances surrounding the tables that were seated and served around us. I also expect an explanation as to why our order took approximately 90 minutes and why we were not given a satisfactory explanation when we questioned the delay. I will not simply dismiss this experience. I intend to make sure my concerns are heard and that others are aware of what happened to us. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness regardless of the color of their skin. I hope Texas Roadhouse will take responsibility for investigating this incident and addressing the concerns raised in this complaint. The treatment we received was unacceptable, and I expect a serious response from the company regarding this matter. read more

Was very disappointed in our meal here. Our steaks were not fresh and were dry, overcooked, and completely unseasoned. The onion blossom and sauce also tasted like they had gone off. On the plus side our salads were fine, the service was good, and the rolls were the best part of the meal. But we paid far too much money for salad and rolls. We go there about 2 or 3 times a week. The steak is usually very good. We get the filet every time. It's usually very good, but once in awhile it will be a little tough. This past Wed it was extremely bad. So tough we couldn't eat it. We always get it to go, so we can't send it back without driving for 1/2 hour. This was actually the first time I tried their chicken and it was delicious. What I loved most about it was how tender it was. I usually stay away from grilled chicken because it's often chewie, but wouldn't mind having this one again. Service was excellent. Staff was welcoming and often checked for re-fills. They had a kiosk on the table. I assumed it was there to pay for our meal as Ive seen things like that before. I moved it off our table because there wasn't space and my 4 year old had tried to grab it and told our server that I moved it. Receipt came with a $2 charge. When asked what for, she said that that kiosk charges you if you use it. Noone used it. The second my 4 year old touched it? I asked why she didn't tell us what it was and she replied with no apology, just "its our policy not to tell you.". Thats when she lost me. i usually don't do reviews but this is ridiculous. My wife and I visited this restaurant tonight for the first time, from a referral of a friend. Getting to the point I ordered a 20oz bone in Ribeye that was served to me that maybe weighed 5oz and was a quarter inch thick. You could not tell the difference between my steak and hers which was a 12oz with the same thickness. We ate most of it because we were hungry. I paid for the dinner and resolved to never returning if that is how they serve steaks. On our way out we noticed the butcher display that showed steaks with the correct weight and thickness we are use to receiving at a steak house. We asked a waitress if this is the kind of steaks that are served here, she said yes. We explained to her our experience and she asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. I waited over 15 minutes to see the manager and was told she was taking care of something in her office. Finally a guy came out and introduced himself as the manager. I explained to him the situation and he began to ask me how I ordered my steak cooked. When we told him medium, he tried to pivot to shrinkage of a cooked steak.He then asked why I did not complain when I received the meal. My question was why you would send out the wrong size steak to me a paying customer. I tried to explain to him that I had never eaten here before and assumed that this was just the way you did business. Until I walked by his display on the way out and noticed normal size steaks and wondered why I did not receive one. He went on to try explain that sometimes you just get a bad cut of the loin. Never did he apologize or offer to make it right with a meal voucher or anything. Not to mention he was the kitchen manager and not the restaurant manager. Went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate child going off to boot camp. As a party of 4 we ordered 2 20oz ribeyes meals a ribeye and chicken meal and a 12oz ribeye combo with grilled scrimp. We had broccoli sweet potatoes and potato skins as sides and appetizers. Santana was our server and was very good a making it a nice experience. Our problem stems from the fact the steaks were not cooked at the temps we ordered. The medium wells came to the table well done and the mediums came out medium well. We were thankful to discover this Texas Roadhouse nearby us. The food is always good, and the servers are friendly and attentive. How do they make their salads taste so good? Texas Roadhouse makes their own dressings, and the Thousand Island, Ranch, and Italian are all excellent. I have never had a bad steak here, and the green beans are absolutely delicious. My only complaint about this location is that the wait can be pretty long, but that could be because there are so few Texas Roadhouses in the surrounding area. If you have the TR app you can put your name on the waitlist ahead of time, and that seems to be the way to go. Since this is one of our favorite steakhouses, I look forward to many future visits. read more

I was blown away with not only the service but the quality of meat. Thick cut steak cooked to perfection. I eat steak 5 nights a week. And I have to say this one was perfect. Highlight of my meal was my bartender. I think her name was Makayla. If I'm wrong I apologize. Her and the bartender before her were just amazing. Offered drinks and desserts went over the menu.
