Just came in for a quick meal after the gym. Food was good, business was pretty well kept, etc. The things you would expect from a restaurant. What I did not expect, however, was to be treated like a Michelin inspector. Service was incredible, felt like home. Sweet, but not overbearing. I believe my server's name was Daniel. Worse Waffle House I've been to. There's a skinny white dude who takes orders who isn't even good at that. Never comes and ask if we want a refill or if we need anything else. Forgets to bring the check. Food takes for ever to come out. Anita is terrible. I went and ordered a chicken hashbrown bowl. She gave me my food and took forever to give me my coke to go which she never gave me since she was chatting with her friends, She just had me standing there like a dumbass waiting for it. I went in Christmas Eve morning for a cup of coffee with my son. The place was super busy. A server by the name of Kimber helped seat us fast. She sat us at a table that she was not serving to help Speed up the process. Our server was extremely busy but made sure to talk to us each time she walked past us. I've never left a Waffle House review before and never thought there would be a need.. Until now. Waffle House is typically pretty consistent, regardless of location. We have two local locations and both are generally about the same. Tonight however, my wife and I experienced something different at location 2107 (241 E. Main), that deserves this review. We were greeted by "Jess", who was training a new cook. Jess prepared our food (and others there as well), as well as served it and took care of all tables. We had some special requests and everything we ordered was absolutely PERFECT ! it's hard to describe just how noticibly better than normal our meal actually was. Again.. perfect. The thing that really stood out was the fact that Jess had no help. There were two other employees there, but both spent our entire visit outside smoking, checking their phone etc. Even as other customers came in, Jess was left to handle it by herself, which she did without complaint. At this point, we couldn't help wonder why the other two salaries were even being paid, when Jess did it all. Jess is reason enough to come to this location, instead of the others. Service is great, but her food preparation is another level. From specific egg orders, waffles, hashbrowns and omelette, it was the best we've ever had at WH. She is the perfect trainer and amazing cook. And, she stays inside with customers. Needless to say, after frequent visits to this location over the years, this visit stood out. You don't go to a greasy pit and expect much. You do, however expect to be able to sit at a clean table. As we arrived around 6pm there was one table sat and eating. We walked around to 4 dirty tables before finally landing at the bar. As we sat there, the 2 servers looked at us and didn't say a word. Then they started to argue about TEA! The cook looked at us, shrugged his shoulders and walked to the back. The girls continued to argue and then walked to the back as well. We were left sitting there; ignored. This is the second time I've tried to eat at this location and left unsuccessful. I'll just stick with original Hendersonville Location. read more

Clean establishment! Super friendly staff--Pam and Gina are especially sweet. The food, of course, is delicious and cheap! The entrance is a bit odd. I had to turn in to the Mexican restaurant and go around back to get to the parking lot. People hate on Waffle House but honestly, everything is cooked fresh. Ordered bacon and received it several minutes before rest of order. Hash browns received several minutes after bacon and several minutes before waffle. There's no place like Waffle House...There is no place like Waffle House...I bet you Dorothy would have tapped her little red shoes and wished to be at the nearest waffle house too. Guilty pleasure, wholesome comfort all at a reasonable price. It doesn't matter if you're here early or late, the weather is beautiful or frightful the food here is always going to fill you up and even warm your soul (a little). While not everyone who works here is joyful but you will always be treated well. Don't come into a Waffle House expecting fancy because it ain't, but the food is good and will fill you up. I must warn you though if you don't like loud or busy avoid this and any waffle house on sundays between 10am-1pm because they get crazy busy. I really do feel sorry for any state that doesn't have a waffle house they're missing out. Their "teamonade"aka Arnold Palmer aka Iced tea with lemonade is seriously addicting. All of the empty tables were dirty so me and my husband had to wait. Which we didn't mind so we stood there awkwardly. A few minutes when by and one of the waitresses said we will be right with you. So we waited some more. And no one was even trying to clean off a table. There was a waiter just leaning on a counter next to the phone not doing anything. Waffle House is great in general, but this particular one is unique. The staff are nothing but friendly and do their best to tend to the customers needs. Sure they may forget something every now and then, but if you consider that most employees there work long shifts and are constantly trying to satisfy customers, then your experience should be phenomenal. I am a frequent flyer to this Waffle House and it didnt take long for them to start to recognize my attendance. After eating there at certain times throughout the week, it didnt take long for them to ask whether i wanted chocolate milk or water with my all star special. They really make you feel welcome and if your experience wasnt satisfactory, i suggest you give them a second chance at a different time of the day. read more

first time at WH --- IKR? But for real ... walked into a mostly empty WH at like 3.30pm. Service was EXCELLENT!!! Can't for the life of me remember our server's name, but she was EXCELLENT!! She was hustling, getting our drinks (and there were some customized ones too), jumped in to help make our dishes too. Quick service - everything came out as it should be, with ample portions. The pricing was excellent, of course. If all WH are like THIS ONE, it's a WIN WIN!!! Our server seemed to have gone above and beyond - she really helped make this experience truly wonderful. She kept checking on us, kept refilling our drinks - just great service. All I know is that as we spoke with her, she worked 24hrs during Christmas and it shows that she totally loves her job. I'm sorry for misplacing her name - but she had the hustle that others need to have!! I wish we had WH close by, cause I would be there more !!! Horrible customer service! Don't try to call in your order, they'll just say "I can't hear you" and hang up on you and then let the phone ring continuously if you try to call back. Not to mention will all of a sudden put a "we aren't accepting Togo orders" recording right after you call a second time. Rude!! Never will waste my time again! When you walk into a restaurant the last thing you want to hear is the waitress complaining VERY loudly, "Oh my god, MORE of them!". My boyfriend and I came in last night around 1 am after seeing a movie because it was the only thing nearby open. After we sat down to our table, the same waitress who complained about us coming in put our utensils down with a lot of attitude and asked us for our drinks. I ordered a waffle and a hash brown, and my boyfriend just got a drink. She brought the hash brown, but after about 20 minutes there was still no waffle, and she had not come to us once. She brings us our check, WITH the waffle charged on it, and I tell her politely she forgot our waffle. She then says, "oh that's probably the one I burned a minute ago". So you're going to rush us to leave and bring our check when you never brought out the main thing on it? She brought us the waffle finally, and as we are finishing it, a group of four boys walk in. This causes her to literally YELL, "STOP STOP STOP coming in!" It wasn't even that busy, besides us there were maybe 3 or 4 other couples there. Very disappointed. Didn't catch the waitress' name, but she was an older lady with blonde hair. Definitely won't be back. read more
