We waited about an hour for our food, with no check-ins, no water refills, and no acknowledgment of the delay, even though our server walked past our table multiple times. At one point, I had to get up and find someone to talk to. I asked a man near the front for a manager, explained we had been waiting an hour, and pointed out our table. No one ever came over afterward to follow up. We were later told there was a large party, which is understandable--but that's not something customers or servers can control. A simple check-in or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. Instead, we were told we "should have said something," despite no one coming to the table. At the end, we waited again for the check, and when my daughter calmly tried to explain our frustration, the server spoke over her and said, "I'm almost 50--I've been doing this since I was 17," which came across as rude and unprofessional. The food was good, but the lack of communication, attentiveness, and management involvement made this a disappointing experience.

When we arrived, they were very transparent that they were working with a small crew, just two girls out front and one guy in the kitchen. She handled our entire group with so much grace and professionalism. She kept everything organized, made sure the kids' food went in first, stayed on top of drinks and orders, and somehow managed to get all 30 of us taken care of and on our way in great time. The bartender was also incredibly nice and helpful, and together they kept everything running smoothly despite being short-staffed. The food did not disappoint either! The Reuben, burger, and Reuben burger were all fantastic, and of course the boys loved the wings and boneless wings. Eventually, an older woman came around the corner and asked her to come over and help us. The bartender rolled her eyes and then made a very inappropriate gesture, pretending to put a gun in her mouth with her fingers, before walking over to us with a smile as if nothing had happened. My husband and I own a bar/restaurant ourselves, so we completely understand that everyone has bad or frustrating moments while working in this industry. But I felt like this was completely unacceptable behavior, especially right in front of customers. It's certainly not something we would accept from someone working in our establishment. We had our drinks and left shortly after. It's too bad because the tavern seemed like it could have been a really fun place to spend the night, but after witnessing that interaction, we were completely put off and didn't feel like staying.
