When B-Dubs first entered my life, I was a fantastic--they had great food for a decent price, with a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, I started noticing the food quality and service declining, as well as rising prices, so I stopped going about two years ago. I'm happy to report that this visit to B-Dubs restored my confidence in the franchise. First of all, ALL of the food my wife and I shared was terrific. The boneless wings, spicy chicken tenders, fries, potato wedges, and even the burger (who knew a burger from BWW could be so good) were delicious. The service from the employee who helped us with our takeout order was courteous and helpful. And the value is insane -- BWWs is currently offering a free burger (with fries) with any $15 purchase in its app; when you combine that with the brand's value deals, you can get a lot of food for a decent price. Dare I say the B-Dubs I once loved is back? My recent visit to this Torrance location gives me hope that it is, in all its glory.

Picked up a 6pack of togoboneless nugs; went with the garlic and they were decent. Hit one of the dipping sauces; maybe got with something that compliments the dressed flavor. Mid day visit Parking - easy Wait time - a couple front of house employee's bar + server were a little busy but got to me; wait time wasn't bad Could be a little cleaner with more staff but I suppose would would think people show up during mid day during the week post lunch.

Busy night = small wings for take out. Have picked up several times from here, generally pretty good and big sized wings. World Series, Game 1 2025 - got 20 wings - small, no meat, half-dressed = pathetic. App is impossible to use - always sends you to browser. Order #1000040007807 - please refund me. Literally received bones, skins and some sauce. Another point - waiting in the take-out room (on the side) takes a LONGGGGG time. I try to flag down employees and everyone runs and hides.

Stopped in here to watch the hockey game one while my wife went shopping next-door sat down at the bar and had a beer they put on the hockey game for me. Had a really good beer. They got a lot of beers to choose from the bartender was super nice. The place was very clean lots of tables. They have a lot of items on the menu though this review does not reflect the quality of the food. This is just sitting at the bar having a beer and watching the hockey game A+ all the way I would definitely come here to have a beer and watch TV and hang out again.

The service from Yajaira and Chevanne Is amazing. These ladies smile all the time and take care of us with fast great attitude and attentiveness. They used to serve us at the location at the del amo Mall. I only go to the new location because of them. Because I'm closer to the Carson location. But they give great service. But this pass visit I was a little bother by the manager interrupting the service by taking Yaya to the back and now Chevanne was by herself so it was hard to get service, but she still did an amazing job. The manager Jessica, aka (badass motha) that's what her jacket had printed on it , how unprofessional! She is rude doesn't smile didn't say anything to any guest, she doesn't need to be in the business. Very bad experience with manager. But we will still go there for, Yaya and chevys service!! Food was good

Horrible service here ! I wouldn't try to come here ever again. Took forever to be recognized we were waiting for drink order.... All 3 servers were talking to each other so we shrugged to see who's gonna be our server, one of the young female server shrugged back to my husband, as if "what do you want?!" gesture.... I'd give 3 stars for food but negative-2 stars for service

We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I ordered the pastrami on rye (basically a Reuben) which was good. I wish it had more meat and it was half sliced, half chopped. Theirs seems to be all chopped up and crisped, which gives it a nice texture and almost bacon-y vibe. Messy but good. I had a side salad which was also good. Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.

Waiters kept checking on us. Got the mild Buffalo Wings for $14 and Parmesan Fries for $6. The wings were good. The Parmesan Fries were really good, they didn't skimped on the Parmesan. Both dishes were small and came with ranch sauce. Got place to watch the games with friends. Not the place to have a conversation. The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

With new ownership comes an affiliated new crowd coinciding w/ old crowd. You could cut the tension in the air w/ someone's pocket knife because you just felt at least one person was packing. I never felt the need to look over my shoulder regularly thru the night til now. Territorial is an understatement. It could be your first visit, and you could tell two different groups were there. Service was disappointing. A customer is a customer, but I noticed new ownership neglected old crowd to tend to her crowd or anything else to keep her "busy." Meanwhile, original bartenders were bending over backwards for everybody. We, in the old crowd, are familiar enough w/ each other for some small talk at the bar while waiting for drinks. They were as confused and shocked as I was about the service. I don't even want to mention what I saw in owner/staff interactions, but I'ma just leave it at sad. It was just sad. I'm not a regular regular, but Southland was the spot for my friends and me when we wanted a night out together for past couple years. Now, we're back to bar-hopping for a new spot because The Alley Bar ain't it. I'd give her benefit-of-the-doubt because she just picked up the place, but benefit would imply I saw an effort in keeping old crowd loyal while inviting new life, too--yeah, no benefit here. R.I.P. It was a nice presentation and full experience. We enjoyed the cotton candy wagyu, prior to having our tasty ribeye with the truffle potatoes. Ending dinner with crème brûlée cheesecake, matcha parfait and some vanilla ice cream. I'd definitely recommend everyone to try the cotton candy wagyu, it was a fun, tasty bite. The ribeye was amazing, flavorful and just the right size. The truffle potatoes were shared, which means it was a generous portion. I could have eaten it all by myself of how tasty they were-lol. The service was great, from host to servers. Very friendly and polite. Plenty of parking is available considering it's in a small shopping center. The Food Library was an interesting experience, and one that left me a bit conflicted…read more The service was excellent from start to finish. The dining room is relatively small, with roughly 10 to 15 tables, and the two employees working the floor were hustling all evening and did a genuinely nice job taking care of everyone. The food itself was solid. The standout dish of the night was actually the grilled asparagus, which came with a soy-based preparation that was absolutely outstanding, perfectly tender and cooked just right. The wedge salad was also very good, and both the 16oz ribeye@$86, and the 8oz filet mignon @$76 were well prepared and enjoyable. Where things became more complicated for me was the overall value proposition. The prices are undeniably steep, especially for Lomita. Whenever I dine somewhere upscale, I inevitably ask myself whether, for the same money, I would have rather gone somewhere else. In this case, the answer was yes. I was also a bit disappointed to discover that there is no full bar. The restaurant seems to steer guests toward wine and sake, with only a handful of beer options available. Unfortunately, the first two beers I ordered, an IPA and then a Modelo, both on the menu, both out of stock, which certainly didn't help my overall impression. The dining room itself felt somewhat drab, all black walls, and lacked the refinement that I would expect at this price point. Dark walls and a crystal chandelier create an interesting contrast, but small details stood out for the wrong reasons. For example, I noticed exposed holes in the bar where a purse hook or latch had apparently been relocated. It may seem minor, but details like that matter when you're charging premium prices. At the end of the night, my wife and I walked out more than $300 lighter. While the food was undeniably good and the service was attentive, the experience simply didn't feel like a $300 evening to us. Overall, The Food Library delivers quality food and hardworking service, but for the price, I left wishing the atmosphere and overall experience matched the bill a bit more closely.
