10/27/2025 at 5pm they put an expired avocado in my bowl. Whoever made this should be ashamed of themselves. This is pitiful. Go to a different location.

The steak/beef salad w extra beef. Pretty darn good. Loved the almonds!

If you're tired of going to the same healthy options over and over and over. Try WaBa. The salad with extra beef is SO good. It's a huge salad with almonds that add so much flavor. Great fresh food, great salad. Next time I'm starving at lunch or even dinner and I want a lot of food without the calories I'll be here again and again.

The girls who work the front are usually always so so nice and welcoming, but the young girl working today at 7:30pm ish was very unwelcoming and rude. I called ahead to place my order and after finishing & saying thank you she literally just hung up on me but I thought okay it doesn't matter. When I actually walked inside and said I was here for my order she was very standoffish but I thought okay understands because I know they closed soon, but after actually getting in my car and looking at my order I saw I have very very little steak on my bowl and that just did it for me. It isn't fair for her to think that it's okay to be rude to people AND not fulfill their order properly. I recommend you try a different waba

Recently stopped by here about a year after trying it for the first time…read more I have to say, Pasta Stories really stepped up their game in terms of serving time! The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.

For a cost friendly meal, the expectation in quality generally tends to be low but Pasta Stories is…read morethe exception. With meals ranging from $10-$17, there is something for everyone. I personally have tried the following: Hokkaido Cream Pasta (newest addition as of late) Fukuoka Mentaiko Butter Pasta Kyoto Matcha Cream Pasta (one of my favorite dishes here - pair with salmon for a strong, umami flavor profile) Iwate Triple Mushroom Pasta Okinawa Pork Ragu Spaghetti (THE number 1 pick, however was not on the menu when I visited last) Osaka American Wagyu Meat Sauce There is a strong attention to Japanese flavors fusing with traditional Italian pasta dishes and are all made with love and care. I always recommend this place to friends and family, I can't get enough of it!

The same thing happened on our second visit, and we were honestly heartbroken. However, Sunny (I think that was his name) went above and beyond to make sure we still got to experience their food. He kindly gave us samples of the Spam musubi and fried chicken to take home. That's 100% top-notch customer service right there! Since then, we've returned twice more with friends, and the food has been absolutely amazing. The shrimp is hands-down my favorite, and the karaage chicken with the green sauce is super addictive. I also finally got to try the crispy Spam musubi, which was unique and delicious . We'll definitely keep coming back. In fact, I'm tempted to throw a party just so I have an excuse to cater from them! Even though they're located inside a food hall, you can take your food and enjoy it anywhere in The Enclave's spacious outdoor seating area, which makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a meal with friends.

That was bad, in any case, I ordered the kalua and shrimp. The shrimp was extra, but was pretty good. I am glad I ate right away since the shrimp was not overtly deep fried (this means the sauce on top was going to drench it, making it a soggy deep fried batter if I did not eat right away). The sauce it comes with is not bad, it seemed like a flavorful batter. The pickled onions were not a palet cleanser, but was sweet and went well with the kalua pork. The pork itself was definitely on the saltier side, I would not recommend eating this without the rice! It was that salty! Together it was good. They put on a lot of rice, no substitutes like Mac salad unfortunately. But what was bad is that the shrimp is extra but they put a bed of rice underneath so you don't really get as much protein as you would like.

The best Mai Tai on the Island was an interesting take on a Mai Tai with a little mango added. Could have had a little more as it was hard to discern at times but still a tasty cocktail. Can't remember what the others ordered to drink, so my apologies, but they were also good. For food, we started with the Lobstah roll which was really nice, a good shift if lobster in each bite and crumbles of salt and vinegar chips on top for some crunch. Just something you wouldn't expect to see on the same plate but it worked. For entrees, we tried the egg crepe, breakfast sandwich and surfing that was like a dry ramen. The crepe was much different than your normal crepe, almost feeling like a quesadilla burrito combo, but was really good. The ramen, without the broth, was also very interesting and very good as well. The winner was the breakfast sandwich. A lot going on in it, and I'm typically not a sausage fan, but this was really tasty, no complaints from anyone at the table. I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and knew I was going to get the curry puffs. The last time I ordered these I was with a friend and had to share but not this time. I was on a solo lunch and looking forward to the puffs! To say they are "perfect" seems insufficient. They were fried incredibly well, hot, crunchy, tasty, but never greasy. And these little puffs were filled with minced beef, potatoes, and seasoning! For my main dish, I chose the dragon noodles (pad thai) with chicken. All the veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly, nothing too mushy, just the right amount of crunch/bite to the cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. And the chicken was chunky! And while I loved everything about the dish, the sprinkling of the crushed peanuts was *chef's kiss*. There's no skimping on those peanuts here. As I write this I'm excited for the leftover noodles waiting for me. When you walk into Sausalido you really do feel welcomed. The space is unassuming in the best way possible. The chicken katsu was a bit disappointing though. The chicken was pounded paper thin and the panko crust, although it was crispy and not too oily, separated from the chicken.
