Celery needs to be trashed. This was not even the worst angle

Yuck, my to go order today after fighting road construction. I would not even feed this to my animals

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. No matter where you go it's awesome. The boneless wangs were sauced great. Service was goood. Fries were the best I've ever had. The only thing I could say not great is the quality of the meat has gone down slightly over the years. Wonderful. 5 stars. S tier. I mean look at my profile picture

Was starving after a long drive to Missouri so I stopped by for a quick bite to eat. It wasn't a busy time so was seated upon arrival. Me and my wife ordered the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. The waitress came back and said they ran out of batter and can only make it grilled. Better for us but I actually wanted the crispy sandwich. Anyway sandwiches come out and my wife wanted ketchup with her wedges and they help you out by having the condiment on the tables. It would help a lot more of they actually had ketchup in them. Had to go to 3 tables before I found 1 with anything in it. I decided to go with a side salad instead of the fries. Lettuce was a little wilted but for the most part it was ok. The chicken sandwiches were however ok. Strange thing is the buns were super small. They seem like slider buns instead of full sandwich buns. So I saw that another sandwich had guacamole on it so I asked for it instead of the ranch dressing. Little did I know this little swap would cost an extra $5 until the bill came. Oh and I was also asked if I wanted the fries or the side salad not knowing hat it would be extra as well. What happened to letting the customer know ahead of time if things would be an added charge. Not a great experience for me at this location.

Medium Chicken Wings order with Medium Sauce. They were dripping in sauce.

In a restaurant "think tank" some great folks had a noble idea. Let's make a restaurant centered around Chicken Wings. Another mentioned large screen TVs everywhere with your favorite sports teams playing. Simply stated it was genius at its best. It was everything good about America. Wing and sports are every man's dreams come true. Unfortunately, they forgot about working out the issue of food consistency. Maybe they could have worked out training to make all places serve decent food wherever they dot the globe. Management that places a high standard on delivering good chow. A cook that cares about what we ingest into our bodies. There is a weakness of "think tanks" though--They never think about having the end-user in the room. That failure made for my miserable meal. I ordered a small order of Chicken Wings--9 was the count (about a buck and a half a wing). I added Medium Sauce and asked for a order of Fries with Cheese and Sour Cream. The Chicken Wings came in a container with a 1/2 inch of cold sauce on the bottom. They were drenched in sauce--literally dripping. They were cold and worse than you can imagine. The fries with cheese was colder than the Sour Cream. The food was terrible. BWW, you serve lousy food! So lousy, you have earned the deplorable grade of 1-Star. Get right man or go into a different business! You all should be ashamed of yourselves!

Doesn't have a full menu so no blue cheese crumbles or buffalo chips. Excellent service. Other than that, your normal B-Dubs

We went inside and it immediately opened up to a large bar which was nice because I could know exactly what they had available on tap. We chose for a table and saw some games like darts, karaoke, etc. We ordered some apps like the nachos and bacon wrapped jalapenos. They were large portions and definitely were flavor bombs. I also ordered wings with mojo sauce which I recommend. The sauce was like a sweet tangy taste with a little bit of heat. I also ordered a cold beer to wash it down. Overall it was a great experience and can't wait to spend more time here in the cooler weather

I mean soo good. I had a Mojito to drink and I wasn't a fan. It had some kind of coconut flavor in it and I don't like coconut. I've never had one that had coconut in it before. Hubs had some kind of punch and it was tasty. I ended up getting one of those too andnit was nice. For meals, we both got wings. Our waitstaff misheard me and gave me boneless wings I stead of traditional wings as I ordered. No biggie. I ate them but I'm here to tell you, I'm not a fan of boneless wings. It's hunks of meat in sauce. Hubs got traditional wings as he ordered and he liked them. Overall, decent place with decent food. It's close so we'll be back.

I'll be honest I might be a "captain" after navigating the uncharted waters of Warrensburg, MO for…read morethe first time. Alas me matties after me daughters' graduation from high school the crew decided to drop anchor at Captains in Warrensburg for some much-needed provisions! After exiting the queen "Nissan Rogue" I noticed this place be ye from the Caribbean as I spotted a scallywag on top of the saloon! Opening the doors my seaworthy nose smelled grog and grub, what any good pirate needs. At least the Captain Sports Longue be located in safe waters without riffraff or worse, the Queens' Royal Fleet! Among me three deck-mates, matties included be: older daughter, younger daughter and boyfriend of older daughter. The sea casted a thirst that only be quenched by a bourbon and diet coke so I flagged down the bar maiden to open up a barrel of bourbon! The little lady be cute as a button however me good eye do profess, she was slow, and without many patrons made me question her motivations. Strike one for the land lover. At long last she gave us parchments detailing their meat and hardtack (old biscuits). My oldest daughter, the graduating one ordered the Ruben with an app of spin dip, the youngest ordered crab rangoons, the "lucky to be alive boyfriend" ordered their Napalm wings while I demanded ye old sesame shrimp spire. The little lassy showed up with the spin dip, pleasing to all of our famished bellies. They had a good mixture of artichokes to spinach with a nice kick of parmesan and cream cheese. The chips were also nice being fresh and crispy. The main provisions began to arrive and older daughter commented on her booty shouting "Arrrr... the Reuben be good, says I - the meat is succulent with just the right amount of sour kraut and Swiss cheese and it even has 1000 Islands dressing, 1 less than I have visited in my 18 years of sailing the seas!" Youngest daughter who likes to remain quiet as if the sea-dogs got her tongue whispered, Dad err... Captain Dad these crab rangoons be good says me. Since she be on my coin, I sampled one me self! Crispy wonton wrappers stuffed with sweet imitation crab be right fit as a hungry pirate's plunder! My grub be the catch of the day - the sesame shrimp spire. Foiled and betrayed says I! These weren't tempura at all, rather fried shrimp!!! Angry be me, said I as there's a difference between fried and tempura. Not failing to mention the slaw be nothing but shredded cabbage with a side of sauce for the shrimp! I'd be thrown in the brig for offering such a measly dish. The worst crime was still to be committed. For the boyfriend ordered Napalm wings. I be sitting on my throne waiting to laugh at such a stupid gesture. One, two, three wings went down and no tears, no ripping of flesh, no wailing of torture! I demanded: Walk the plank or tell me the secret to your resistance to fire ye landlubber? With a nervous twitch he shot back, these wings ain't hot, cappin! Arrrr, I responded with anger, let me try ye sauce. My hook took a small sample as I can't take heat and let my tongue walk on fire. Alas, what is this made of; milk of a cow, ice of the cream? These people lie of their provisions, it's not hot at all! My plans of watching the young deckhand burn in fire were thwarted! Ok, back to reality here, I've never been a fan of poor service from a good-looking lady. It wasn't the worst I've experienced but it was far from great. Next some of their menu items are misrepresented. The napalm wings are about as tame as they could be, as I would compare them to medium at other joints. The tempura shrimp was basically fried so an adjust on verbiage would help as I was disappointed in what I got. Overall, the place isn't bad but not great. Although the ambiance with plenty of TV screens and a large bar would be great to catch a live sporting event. Now then, be it that I be a pirate cappin', I won't be back as I live leagues away. If I do drop anchor in this port again I'd be tempted to stop by but only when I see two swabbies wrestling over stolen coins.

We walked in and the place was empty, which isn't the worst thing. We were greeted by our server, Maddy, and shown our table. Service was 10/10, very attentive. The inside of the lounge has loud music, lots of TV's ,and a bar to enjoy. We tried out the crab Rangoon and the Smörgåsbord. The crab Rangoons were amazing! Hot, crispy and flavorful, especially paired with the sweet chili sauce! The smörgåsbord was decent, all of it was pretty salty though. The queso was soup like and the chips tasted stale. The wings also had a very thin breading and the quality was okay. All around, I think Captains is decent, maybe a little room for improvement on flavor but still a nice area to enjoy.

After a quick Yelp search for neighborhood bars and sorting for "highest rated," we decided to check out Water's Edge. Who cares that we had no idea what water it was supposed to be on the edge of? We pulled into the lot, and to be honest, we looked at each other and said, "ehh, we'll see." It looks like a 1970's roadside motel, which, no lie, was super intriguing. Walk in the front door, and MY MAN! From the outside it seriously doesn't look like this place should exist. But it does! It has all the personality of a neighborhood dive bar and all the best things you love about your favorite karaoke bar. Because, yeah, this is a karaoke bar. And it's a great one. But karaoke is not what makes Water's Edge a great bar. It's not even the food, which by the way is phenomenal (try the pepper jack cheese cubes!). What makes Water's Edge a great bar is what makes any bar great - it's the bartenders. Daniel was engaging, friendly, funny, and -- most importantly -- he actually appeared to love his job. The crazy thing is that attitude seemed to permeate the staff, even as the night went on. (Cause yeah, of course we stayed.) And that, my friends, is evidence of one thing - a good boss. After meeting Ozzie, her infectious enthusiasm and charm made it clear to us that she IS the reason Water's Edge is now our go-to for every future visit to the KC area, and we may even be so bold as to claim it as our own neighborhood bar, as long as it's cool that we consider it a pretty big neighborhood. We'll be back, Ozzie, and Dan, and all you guys. Save a couple bar stools for two Cardinal fans!
