We went on a Wednesday, which is AYCE wings for $20. Our server was friendly & attentive, but very inexperienced in the restaurant world. She came to our table 4 times asking if we were ready to order, when we had only been there for 10 minutes and our menus were still open. Halfway through my chicken sandwich, I noticed that every bite was fried breading, onion straws and the bun, hardly any chicken at all. She came to check on the orders after a little while, I showed her mine asking where the chicken was. She agreed that it was a meager portion. My wife was done eating her wings at that point, so instead of having to wait on a re-do, I asked if she could have the kitchen prepare the replacement to go. After a little while she brought the bill, and I used a pre-paid gift voucher to settle up. She came back, had comped my meal, but used the full amount of my voucher, didn't have the replacement. When I pointed this out to her, she told me that she couldn't do anything about it per manager instructions. Why didn't the manager come over when the issue was made clear? Eventually, he came over after I asked to speak with him directly, and we worked everything out, but why didn't he visit us at the first sign of dissatisfaction? It took less time to order and receive our dinner than it did to find a mutually agreeable solution. I still tipped the waitress on the full amount of our bill, mostly because I felt bad for her obvious lack of training & experience. Our food was delicious, hot, had a quick turnaround, and was well-seasoned. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. I have gone to this Buffalo's location with family and friends several dozen times over the last decade. The staff has always been friendly and efficient. The ambiance can be anywhere from quiet and pleasant to riotously loud, especially during dinner hours. The food - including their popular wings - has almost always been excellent. The reason for this unusually low rating is due to the 16 wings I ordered online and picked up this evening at 9:15 pm. I ordered the wings to have medium buffalo sauce on half and lemon pepper on the other half. Apparently, these wings were prepared much earlier this evening, since ALL of them were nearly impossible to chew due to the skin being so hard. Plus, the chicken itself, once I decided to use my chain saw to get it off the bones, was mostly tasteless, irrespective of the sauce. I was really surprised to see one of my favorite local restaurants actually sell me wings that should have been discarded hours ago. I would have called and spoke to the manager as soon as I saw how awful these wings were, but the restaurant was already closed. I'm not ready to write off this Buffalo's location because of one bad order of wings, but I will ask to speak to a manager about this the next time I go there. In the meantime, I don't recommend ordering wings for pickup when it's close to closing time. I'll update this review after I speak to a manager, and get believable assurance that they will no longer throw inedible wings in a to-go container to get rid of them around closing time. read more

I ordered chicken tenders with curly fries and texacana corn. The tenders were oily, the garlic bread was burnt and smooshed, the curly fries were LITERALLY wet and floppy and had absolutely zero seasoning, and the "fancy corn" was just a regular over cooked corn on the Cobb with hard kernels lol. Never brought things we asked for and when she asked if she could bring the check after never refilling drinks etc, we were still polite and said "yes", and asked for a to go box. About 5 minutes or so when she finally came back. She walked up to the table with a blank stare and no check and no to go box. She kind of snapped out of it when we said "check? To go box?" She made a noise and shuffled off. I got up and went over to the bar area and asked the guy there for a to go box, because I had no confidence we would get one. We sat and waited some more and were about to just leave what we thought we owed, when she finally came back over, spaced out. We thanked her and still left a 15% tip, begrudgingly, because I didn't want to be a jerk. I usually never leave less than 25% because I know servers work hard, but I just couldn't do it this time. This restaurant needs to immediately make a significant investment in the area of employee training. I have never been to a restaurant where the staff was this untrained and clueless. I can see exactly why they weren't busy at all on a Friday night. We came in, asked for a table for two, and the two hostesses looked as though I had asked them to operate a nuclear reactor. I have no idea how something that simple could somehow confuse anyone. When we were shown our table, the waitress was extremely pushy and was pestering us for our order before we even had 15 seconds to look at the menu. We ordered, and when we got our food, both orders were completely wrong. We each ordered a wing dinner, basically the simplest thing on the menu, and somehow the waitress failed to enter either one correctly. My meal was missing a side (which the menu specifically says it comes with), my friend's meal didn't even resemble what she ordered. Had to sit and wait for hers to be fully remade. Yet again, items were missing. She just ate it because we had been there long enough. The food was mediocre at best. When we got the bill, luckily we were undercharged because the waitress had entered both our meals completely incorrectly. This was after she had to get the manager to void off something that we had never ordered in the first place. The fact that this restaurant is willing to put employees that are this completely untrained on the floor with no supervision is just sad. Well, I can say that the Woodstock Buffalo's is consistent. Been about a year or so since I've eaten anything from them and thought, "Okay, lets see if they've changed. Maybe they've improved". Nope, still pitiful. Did pickup this time, thinking they'd get it right but they did not. Got there and the order was ready. Okay, thats a star since you had it ready when I arrived. I got the bag and expected it to be correct especially since everything was printed in clear English. Everything was quite explicit, thus, no reason to question the accuracy. Shame on me. Ordered the Cobb salad. The receipt included the printing of the salad dressing. Got home. No salad dressing even though the receipt showed it. Wasn't even on the salad. Fortunately, had a different dressing at home but not the one ordered. Ordered fajita tacos. Menu states chips and salsa come with it. Got home. Handful of chips and NO fire-roasted salsa. And, the tacos had almost no flavor. I had to add some flavored hot-sauce to enjoy them. Ordered a burger. Seems to be fine since my son finished it, however, as much as he's a curly fry fiend, he could not finish these. Too salty and soagy. The food here is good a little pricey. I recommend anything with the chipotle ranch. The wings are on the small size, but have good flavor. The staff here are great and will substitute things for you and customize meals just how you want them. I'm a big fan of the queso. They also have the best chocolate chip cookies I think I've ever had. Don't forget to try the peanuts also on your way in or out they're surprisingly better than most other places. read more

I used to be a regular here coming for bash night and it was really good. The last few times I have been terrible. The ToGo food has been a greasy disgusting mess with wings that must have been taken from baby chickens. The last 2 times I've ordered, I have thrown the fresh cut fries "which used to be crispy" straight into the trash because they were a soggy disgusting oily mess. Literally oil collecting in the bottom of the container. Not only that, the wings are a complete joke....See photo. The Apache Chx wrap was dry because they forgot the sauce, the Chx was clearly over cooked, & the onion straws were just as gross as the fries....didn't finish half of it. We spend $35 for 16 tiny wings with no meat, a disgusting dry wrap, & 2 orders of fries that might have spent 30 seconds on the fryer. I know they are a bunch of regular patrons of this place and you all need to write reviews and post positive scores to counter act the picky peters and critical cindys. This place has the best wings in town (neck in neck with Taco Mac) and they have my favorite grilled chicken salad (Juanitas fajita chicken salad), my sons love the lemon pepper wings and my daughter loves the all American cheese burger. Find another option on 92 in Woodstock. A great alternative down the road is Semper Fi Bar and Grille. I've been to this cafe twice. The first time was a weekend night and it was surprisingly not packed. I ordered the quesadilla. I found it greasy and unappetizing. The general look of the place tries to be Texan Roadhouse, but never achieves the vibrant honky-tonk feel. Instead, it feels like a hole-in-the-wall dive, and not the kind of dive that has fabulous food or other appeal. Our waitperson was young and obviously new. She was pleasant, but didn't know the menu and she wasn't terribly fast at getting our beverages and never stopped back to check in on us after our food was delivered to see if we needed anything else. She was sweet, but inexperienced. The second time I went was around dinner time on a weeknight and my guest and I sat at the bar. We tried this cafe a second time because we had a $10 voucher. There were about 4 people at the bar and despite it not being busy, several unoccupied sections of the bar were covered in peanut shells. We asked the bartender for a cloth to wipe the counter and she gave it a lazy swipe, still leaving it dirty after she turned her back to watch one of the TV's surrounding the bar. She was more interested in watching the TV screen than ensuring her bar area was clean. There was an interesting character sitting two barstools down from us. He was talking constantly to the bartender and to a female patron to his left (who was desperately trying to ignore him). Despite her polite but one-word answers to him, as well as keeping her eyes on her cell phone, he refused to take the hint that she wasn't interested in conversation with him. We ordered a sandwich, but it was hard to enjoy being there due to Casanova's constant dialogue with the ladies. I'm glad I was there with a large male friend, as I would have probably been another object of his attention had I been there alone. The sandwich was good, so I'll surmise that there are probably good picks on the menu, but due to the lack of cleanliness in the place, the inattentive bartender, and run-down appearance, I'll skip this place and so should you. read more

Stopped in for my cousin's birthday gathering and was highly impressed. Our server was excellent. Our food came to the table hot and delicious. Our drinks never ran dry. If you like hot wings, look no further. A large variety of sauces/flavors are available. I don't care for Bleu Cheese at all, but theirs is very tasty! One potential gnat-bite is that the wings aren't huge. In fact, they are maybe a smidgeon smaller than other places. There are definitely a variety of menu items to cover most tastes. Burgers, sandwiches and lots of other menu choices. A couple of signature things that are not really advertised are the "Tumble" potato chips. They spiral slice potatoes and fry them in-house to make crazy good chips. Another is their corn on the cob. Cooked in the deep fryer and seasoned. Good stuff!
