Then they tried to upsell a full report and the inspector showed me some cellulose debris he supposedly found under the house that showed termite activity. I had just had the crawlspace cleared of all visible cellulose debris, so I'm not sure where he got it. Then he tried to upsell a treatment for subterranean termites though there were no mud tubes or any other signs of activity. Subterranean termites are a fact of life in Placer County but these companies try to sell unnecessary treatments.

Some joists were missing hangers, some hangers used non structural screws, beams were cut short, posts that they installed were leaning, the list goes on. The pictures are *after* their first attempt, they aren't the before pictures. So that gives you an idea of how bad of a job they did. When I pointed out all the mistakes and how disappointed I was, they tried to fix half the mistakes and they literally squirted caulk into the gaps of the cut-short beams and tried to cover up their work by throwing on non structural covers to hide their mistakes. Their answer to doing a shoddy job the first time was to come back out and try to cover up their mistakes. Infuriating. I now have to go fix their mistakes myself. They actually created more work for me. I'd hired them before and they didn't always get the job done right the first time but they usually got it don't satisfactorily. I would strongly advise against anyone hiring them. They are terrible

So far the customer service has been friendly and efficient and we're getting into the season when ants try to start coming in so we'll be leaning on their help. Economy is GREAT to work with, with solid performance and success in eradicating the rodent problem we were having, and the subsequent maintenance that has continued to keep the little varmints at bay since they started providing their services. In particular, I wanted to say that Tony McMahon is one of those kind of guys who does their job sufficiently well to have gotten me to take the time to write this stellar review. He's conscientious, has good follow-up, with great attention to detail...he even took the time to point out to us an issue that wasn't even Pest-Control-related... On one of his recent visits, he noticed a strong "exhaust smell" under our house...we had recently had a new HVAC system installed, and there were some issues with both the settings on the unit itself (gas pressure set for Natural Gas, but ours is a Propane system), in addition to some venting issues. It could have become a hazardous situation had it continued on in perpetuity (could have been something we didn't notice for a long-enough period of time to become dangerous). So Tony taking the time to bring it to our attention was completely instrumental in us contacting the HVAC folks to address the issue(s) more expediently, saving us from a potentially larger problem down the road... They arrived on time, they were very thorough besides one other company they both were neck and neck after reviewing all yelp reviews I decided to go with Advanced. Yesterday 5/7/26 the technician came out yesterday, I don't remember his name, he arrived around 9 am very nice and respectful young man. He was respectful of my property he informed me it take a couple of hours. He drilled holes in the pavement filled with treatment and refilled holes back up, you really can't see where the drilling happened in some areas. He completed the work around 12:45 pm good service. The cost was reasonable based on the three estimates I had received. I went with options one time treatment however, they provide a one year warranty which is great.
