It depends if you're looking to book with Bui or Tina, a week to 1.5 weeks. If you're ok with anyone, 1-2 days should be fine. Sometimes they have cancelations and can take you same day if you call in the morning. :)

Aloha, I have been in Hawaii for a year and haven't had my nails done, however I'm graduating next month and want to do them , is this salon super pricey? For coffin shaped and some bling?

Price are depending how fancy/ you want to have your nail done. We are only use swarovski so if you want bling out yes its will cost more

Just curious but what language do they speak in the salon? Sometimes it gets uncomfortable when all the workers are speaking a different language.

They speak Vietnamese but trust me 10/10 times they are talking about their own personal business NEVER about the customers. I speak Vietnamese and understand and I never once heard them talk about any customers. They are very professional.

So I called the town location and the owner Hideko answered - I explained to her the situation and she apologized and said that she'd come to Kapolei that week and do the consultation herself. The day of my consultation I called a couple hours before and asked if she'd be able to do the actual service and they were able to accommodate me and said yes! This Kapolei location is nearby Ho'okele elementary and it's a small little shop with one bed in the center. It's very clean and relaxing. Hideko answered all of my questions and concerns. She drew out how my brows would look like and asked if I'd like to proceed. The process itself felt like tiny scratches on my brows not too sore. From consultation to finish it took about 2 hours 45 minutes. Hideko really connects with her clients, gets to know them and takes her time putting in quality work. The price I paid was $800 without tax or tip but I'm very happy with how it came out and I don't regret it at all. A follow-up/touch-up appointment is included in the price you pay if you'd like to add more detail or anything. Thank you so much Hideko and definitely would come back again!

It is in close vicinity of Ashley Furniture just off Kapolei Parkway close to a school and in a residential area. You will need to find street parking so be on the lookout for the Island Beauty sandwich board fronting the salon. Upon entering it felt like walking into the chicest spa with beautiful music, white fur chairs, white treatment tables and romantic wallpaper set off by a stunningly chandelier. Hideko checked on how my brows turned out after the first session, then marked points and measured to make sure both brows were aligned. This time she was going to microblade my brows after the numbing gel was applied. She cautioned me that I would feel more this time...so true as I felt my left hand grasping onto the table and what seemed like I penetrated the tissue paper lining. She asked if I was okay, applied more numbing gel. I had asked about the microblade tool which she showed me was new and in a sterile wrapper. It was so tiny like a pen but consisted of 17 needle like protrusions but I'd need a magnifying glass to really see. When the procedure was done she nodded approval and smiled and I was very pleased at the outcome. Hideko really is a master at her craft, I felt very confident being worked on by her. It's about transparency and consistency. Customers should know what they are going to be charged before a service is performed, particularly when they are regular clients receiving the same service they've received many times before. I had been happy enough with this salon to continue returning since May, but the way this was handled left me disappointed and uncomfortable, and I won't be returning. The vibe is just not good .

So today was my first time going to this nail salon. I needed my old powder soaked off and a new overlay put on to my regular nails (not tips). I had coffin shaped nails when I got there but the guy who did my nails utterly and completely ruined my nail shape. There are even a couple of nails crooked. My sister gets her nails done there they are always beautiful. I had no idea I should ask for the gentleman that sits by the door in order to get quality service. My nails are poorly done and I am extremely disappointed. I'm not the type to cause a scene so I just paid and left. My nails look like they were done by someone just learning. The dishonesty was so blatant it bothered me for days. My friend and I went to get pedicures. We both opted for the standard pedicure with scrub. My technician was an older woman. Seemed friendly enough. The problem was the second tech that worked on my friend. She came to the chair and handed my friend an iPad and said: "pick a color." I asked if this was for standard polish or for gel? She said gel. My friend told her very nicely I don't want gel just a simple color. It was a very clear request. The second tech then proceeded to chat with the tech doing my pedi. She had a sour look on her face. The conversation lasted the entire session and was distracting and rude. My pedicure finished first, it was just meh. No effort put into the job. What got me is when I went to pay for both pedicures (my friend was still in her chair), the tech asked the 2nd tech how much and the price jumped $25, from $40 to $65. Why? Because she charged my friend for gel. When I questioned her about this, she said "oh, she wanted gel!" I looked at my friend and she shrugged her shoulders -- like she didn't know what happened. Apparently, when I stood up to pay, the 2nd tech snuck gel onto her toes and charged us for it. I didn't want to make a big deal in front of all the people sitting in their chairs, so I paid. I have been to this salon many times before and this has never happened. I've seen that tech there before (hard to miss with the resting sour face), but luckily never had her work on me. Again, posting this for awareness that this "old Skool" nail salon tactic still exists.
