This review is not from someone who has tried the product and experience. I stopped by a few times, but the lines were prohibitive. That is a good thing for them. I also am an adult and did not want to take a spot from an excited child. It is fascinating to watch the process of the plushies getting stuffed by the machine. What a fun experience! I stopped by when shopping nearby to take a look at their fairly new Sanrio offerings. They are really cute. The plushies are elongated, perhaps to make them easier to hold. We went in today to get a gift for my daughter's high school graduation . Luckily Krystal helped us out she was amazing so patient helpful and nice . She should definitely get promoted or get a raise it's very rare nowadays to get someone so sweet and helpful . That store gets 5 stars for hiring good employees . I had to work some last minute magic for my son's second birthday because other family events took precedence the weekend of his birthday and we couldn't do much at home. BABW was on my list and although I was within the 2 week online booking timeframe for online reservations the folks working the phones and the team in the store really helped me deliver. Thank you to Paul, Alvie, Nikki, and all their supporting team mem-bears for helping to make my son's 2nd birthday one to remember. Communication and patience were stellar, and all kids between 2-6, and even the 14 year old left with smiles. One thing that stood out was that the in store team was able to keep a great flow with the guest outside of our party so that everyone could move around the store comfortably. We were in store on a Sunday between 11a - 1p, and there was a good flow of traffic but people mainly knew what they wanted. We also did back surgery on my 14 yr olds 1st BAB that is 14 years old as well, we also got her a new outfit to celebrate my daughter's Harry Potter themed 15th birthday in 2 months. read more

Such a good experience for the kids. We came to this location with my child for the first time yesterday. We where helped by Kelly and she was so patient and helpful. Especially considering that my child has autism and is verbally limited Kelly was so accommodating. I came in yesterday afternoon (July 30th) and had a WONDERFUL experience. I really can't say enough good about this location and it's employees. First of all, I want to give a special thank you to the young man that helped us out. I wish I had gotten his name but he wore glasses and said he used to work at stride rite. We struck up a conversation while he was stuffing my daughter's new dog plush. He was VERY kind and down to earth, he said "dude" a lot and that may seem silly to include in my review but I enjoyed talking to him, it felt like I was just chatting with a friend. Real easy going! I'm going to make sure to call tomorrow to get his name so I can call corporate to pass along the compliment. I didn't feel like there was any up-sale. I did add to my daughters plush. We added a dog noise, a scent and a leash. I used the $15 coupon that was given out during the pay your age fiasco. I don't feel it's fair to judge a location or store based on this ONE day. Especially on their first time trying out a sale like that. This was my second time here and I have to admit that both times were equally enjoyable. I'm glad there are places like these where my daughter can have a fun experience while picking out a toy. Parking is easy, prices are reasonable as long as you don't get carried away with accessories. They have great policies when it comes to repairs as well. I appreciate that as a customer. I came two Friday's ago and completely forgot to give the girls there a proper shout out ! it was my daughters first time here and the two girls working were so friendly and definitely made it special for her. The one girl did the pumping of the bear with my daughter & tried making conversation with her about her new bear & school. This is a great location! The employees are always so helpful. I came here with my niece and the bear builder helped us with everything. There are 6 stations that you must go to. I just bought a bear from this location a few days ago, the Pink Cuddles Teddy, for my friend, and I got a voice box with it to play a Lady Gaga song whenever she presses the bear's paw (because she's a huge fan and she's also LGBT, most LGBT love Gaga). The staff was great and helped me pick out cute clothes. Lily, in particular, was really helpful and was super nice, letting me have all the time I needed to record the part of the song that I wanted. I had a great experience at this location. This was my two-year-old son first experience I have a nine-year-old daughter and she loves build a bear we went to build a bear and my son had a small dumb dumb sucker and he was enjoying his stroller. I was told by an associate that he cannot have food or a drink at the store I told her it's a small candy and he will have a fit if I take it from him she asked me if I want to continue my shopping experience because I would have to leave if I did not cover the candy. At first I stood outside of the store then my nine-year-old needed help in the store so I took away the candy for my son and he was screaming the rest of the visit. His first experience with build a bear was terrible then on top of that my daughter I wanted her Bear to have a voice and when we went to the car we discovered that the voice was not put inside the bear even though it was paid for. At this point I was just overwhelmed and disappointed so I did not go back into the store but I will go back because I paid for the voice in the voice was not put inside her toy. After this incident I will not be going back to this location, I spent $120 on a bad experience and I'm not willing to do that again. On top of that we were not helped on the different steps and I had to demand help to find clothes for my daughters item there was no one in the store 3 employees on one register and I had to constantly go to them for help bad customer service. read more

Service is bad don't come to this location! Went to Pay your age event and it was a total disaster! Went with two other moms with two infants three toddlers and two kids. We were there since 9am they notified us that the lines had to close and moved us. 12 pm came and people were still inline and kept going into the store. We decided to stick around and by 4 pm more people kept going inside the store when the managers kept saying they were closed. I spoke to "Melissa" claimed she was the manager. This LOCATION sucks, I went and I bought two bears today for my kids. I thought they had a sale going on my selection of bears turns out the "prices were JUST moved" that's what the cashier lady said and she was not nice about it at alll ! Usually when this happens at other businesses they honor the price, offer a discount or are just nice about it. I never write any bad reviews but I just have to after our experience here yesterday. So yesterday I took my kids to experience build a bear for the first time. They were so excited to go and spend their Christmas money and go through each step as they had watched on YouTube before going. As we entered, not one employee greeted us. The store was not even busy. There was one employee at the cashier helping a few customers get checked out while another employee was at the back of the store just chatting away with a customer that had nothing to do with build a bear. My kids each chose their bear so we headed to the stuffing counter to wait for assistance to stuff our bears. Still no employee to help. We waited for literally 20 minutes while the employer was still chit chatting away. Finally that employee had to be told by the lady at the cashier to come help us. We informed her it was our first time there, hoping she would than guide us through each step. Unfortunately, that was not what happened. She stuffed my daughter's unicorn than had to switch shifts with another employee to go to break. The other lady took over and was stuffing my son's bear. She was not very friendly at all. While she was stuffing, she paid hardly any attention to my son at all and was chit chatting with another worker the whole time. She finished and handed the bear to my son and said, "okay you guys are all set". My kids looked confused because we were thinking that she was gonna take them through each step, especially with this being our first time here. So I took my kids to start trying out clothes for their bears, but nothing was fitting my daughter's unicorn because they had overstuffed it. She was so disappointed by this point. So we asked the lady at the cashier if they could remove some stuffing, with an annoyed look on her face she tells us to go stand by the stuffing machine and she will have someone assist us. (I'm not sure why she couldn't help since she was just standing behind the cashier doing nothing.) So there we go waiting once again for assistance while there were still no other customers in the store. We were standing there waiting for about another 15 minutes while two employees were standing next to the machine just chit chatting away with each other and not once asked us if we needed help. By this point we were in the store for over an hour and my kids had lost interest in the whole experience and they still haven't even gone through the last 3 steps. So the cashier lady finally came over to inform the ladies to assist us after she was suppose to tell them 15 minutes ago! While they were removing the stuffing, we went looking at the clothes again thinking they were gonna bring the unicorn to us to make sure we could fit the outfits on it now, but after 10 minutes I had to go search for the unicorn because the lady that removed the stuffing did not have it anymore. I went to the cashier to ask where it was and she found it behind the cash register. So without even asking us if we were ready, she started ringing us up. Again my kids were looking confused because they knew checking out was the last step but they still hadn't dressed their bears, made the birth certificate, or take their pictures. Not once did any employee inform us of these steps either. My kids only knew about these steps from watching it on youtube. My son had to tell me in front of the cashier that we had forgot these steps. As she heard him say this, she didn't care and was still ringing us up. She started putting the bears in the boxes so I had to tell her my kids want to dress their bears first so they could take their pictures. Again the cashier looked annoyed that I had asked this of her. It just felt like none of them wanted to be there and we were just being rushed out the entire time. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service this location had to offer. My kids WHOLE experience was ruined because of the employees here. I can't believe this is the kind of customer service you offer at a children's store. It should not take 2HOURS just to make 2 bears!! I hope you train your staff better to learn how to offer proper customer service. We will not be returning after that TERRIBLE service. I would give 0 stars if I could read more

After trying to take my daughter to the pay your age event and unsuccessfully trying to log into my account to get the special coupon (tried several times to email service at Build a bear ), I thought that was it and gave up.
