This was the best jerky ever. They changed the recipe without any notice on their site. When I got the new bag it was greasy and tasted nothing like it used to. I emailed them requesting a refund. They ignored me at first. So I finally filed a dispute with my credit card. Then I heard back from them, they asked me if I wanted to return it. I said yes, they sent me a return label so all seemed to be going well. They received my return on 3/4/2025. I emailed twice asking for a status of my refund and they never responded. In the meantime, they waited until the last minute to respond to the credit card dispute. Instead of addressing the actual dispute of the product not being the same, they just sent the CC company a list of my transactions. Due to the way CC disputes work, now I have to send another letter to Citi addressing their response and if I don't do it in time, I just lose. Seems like they know the dispute game and are playing it to try and not have to refund my money. Sucks because I loved the product and would have been a loyal company forever if they hadn't changed it. Even if they had changed it and just refunded my money I would have just been happy to go on my way. But since they can't do the right thing and refund my money, now I'm here leaving a 1 star review to shine a light on their shady business practices. read more

To start, customer service was fantastic. I drove by, saw the sign, and decided to go in. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The product however, was a tad lacking. I spent about $100 and tried almost every type of jerky and such they had. I tried the brittle, brisket, california, dog jerky, corn nuts, seasoning bottle, and more. Brittle - wasn't bad, but wasn't a huge fan of the texture. I just wanted to try this once. California - I didn't like the jalapeno flavor at all, but it had a nice kick. Wasn't a fan of the texture as well. The Western had potential but was too sweet for me. If they cut down the sugar by like half, I think I may get this periodically. Dog Jerky - doggo likes it. I tried it as well, not bad haha. Turkey Jerky - I'm not sure if there were other flavors, but at a texture perspective, this was my favorite from this place. Corn nuts - a bit on the salty side but it has potential. If they eased up on the amount of salt and even introduced different flavors, I would get it again. Seasoning bottle - I tried the recommended "California Dreaming". It was okay. It tastes almost exactly like the seasoning mix I make at home when I'm lazy and just throw my favorite bbq/cajun spices together. Was hoping for something different. read more

Pretty good jerky. I had the black pepper jerky. I've had a lot of jerky in my life and this one is pretty good. Received 4 nice size pieces in a bag (16 oz) for a total of $42 which $10 of that was shipping. I just ordered 32 oz from a competitor and paid $7.50 for shipping so I'll get twice the amount for less shipping cost and it's good jerky. read more

Went there the other day after driving past a million times and I'm upset I didn't stop in sooner. They have a huge selection of meats and flavors. I bought 3 different kinds and spent only $20! The customer service was awesome also, the guy that helped me knew the answer to every question and was polite to the max. Hooked me up with a couple free samples while I was there so I knew what I was getting. The jerky was quality beef and very fresh and they also have exotic selections like ostrich and fishes. And I NEVER got a response... I was hesitant to make this post, but their lack of customer service sealed the deal for me. I believe it's been 3-4 weeks since the time I contacted them. Any who, the jerky is subpar, I threw the rest away and I'm glad I did, because approx 12-24 hrs later my body had also decided it was bad... if you get my drift. For at least six months I have wanted to visit Bulk Beef Jerky after reading reviews on Yelp but the shop isn't very close to where I live. Today I left work a little early and decided to take a detour on my way home to visit the shop. When I arrived at the shop I was greeted right away. After a brief discussion of what I preferred in taste and texture I was given all sorts of jerky to sample. I walked out of the store with four 8oz bags of jerky and a one pound bag of nuts. This is a really great place to visit and sample some jerky of all types. My daughter is a huge beef jerky fan and was excited to visit after she noticed the store in passing. The employee working at the time was friendly and wonderful with my shy 10 year old. He made sure she got plenty of samples so she knew what she wanted to buy. Nice, family owned shop that makes their own beef jerky. Service was very friendly and the "samples" were very generous. I got the Real Western brisket jerky.
