My favorite jewelers ever! I worked on a jewelry trade show and I've had a few pieces of custom jewelry made, so I know a little bit about jewelry, and I wouldn't go anywhere else than Bullion and Diamond. They are honest, nice, non-judgmental regardless of your budget, and all around good people that do quality work at great price. What more could you ask for? Here's my story: I initially found Bullion and Diamond because I wanted to sell some old gold jewelry. I had no idea where to sell old gold, so I turned to Yelp and saw that Bullion Bank (same.location/owners) had all 5 star reviews. Selling my gold was a great experience -- there were a few pieces of mine that turned out not to be real gold, but they never made me feel embarrassed that I didn't know the difference, and they gave me more cash than I had hoped. While I was waiting for my gold valuation, I browsed their collection of rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets--really lovely, bright diamonds in unique settings, in all shades of gold (with some beautiful pieces in rose gold). I asked Nasim, their awesomely friendly Creative Director, if I could bring in some old jewelry to remake into something else--a past wedding band and an 80s diamond ring that I never wore--and she said, "Totally!" Originally I wanted to make a ring but ended up really going for it and making a diamond circle pendant. Nasim was so patient through the whole process, even when I changed my mind, and invaluable in helping me figure out how to best use the diamonds I already had. She never made me feel rushed in picking out a design or proceeding with the project. The price was very reasonable and I got the added bonus of selling the old jewelry settings to help finance my project! I was elated when I saw the final piece that I knew I would work with them again (in fact, I'm on project #2 already!). As it turned out, the chain for my pendant was a little too delicate and I needed a thicker chain, which Bullion and Diamond replaced for me right away at no extra charge (yes, I'm serious!). Nasim and team really make you feel like a friend -- there's no pressure and they treat everyone the same, regardless of what you're in the market for (trust me, you won't get that at Jared or Kay). I really enjoyed working with Nasim and I'm so happy that I now have a beautiful necklace that I can wear every day instead of a bunch of old stuff hidden in the bottom of a drawer. If you have "divorce jewelry," jewelry that you inherited or just don't like anymore, stop by Bullion and Diamond and have them make it into something you'll love. I usually don't post negative reviews (mainly because I've worked in customer service and I know how crazy it can get), but I was really disappointed by the service I received here back in August. I had recently gotten engaged and one of the canary diamonds in the halo had fallen out while baking (learned my lesson). I took it to Bullion and Diamond, about 40 minutes out of the way, due to the great reviews, not wanting to trust just anyone with something that meant so much to me. I was told the jeweler was out but he would get to my ring during the week and they could replace no problem. And the price was great -- way lower than I was expecting. Not a problem, I could pick it up later that week. However, when I reached out during the week to see how it was going and get an approximate time to pick it up, I couldn't get ahold of anyone. I left messages and never got a call back. I emailed, never got a response. In a panic, I drove out again just to be told that they had been too busy and that's why they couldn't pick up my calls and my ring would be done the next day and they would call me that night once the jeweler was working on it. I never got a call. I called multiple times the next morning and they still didn't pick up. I had to been told to contact an employee who was on her vacation because they didn't have the tracking number for the diamond and couldn't answer any of my questions. I thought the professionalism was subpar. The fact that no one ever answered and I had to drive out there multiple times just to get answers to what the status was of my ring. The employee on her vacation was honestly the saving grace of this place, and the only reason I added an extra star. She was insanely responsive and apologetic and gave me a discount for all the trouble. Once the ring was done, the stone looked nice, but they gave it to me with black polish still in the crevices. No issue, they fixed it and I left and went on my way home. Now, less than 6 months later, that same stone has fallen out again. I refuse to take it back here because of my previous experience. I hope they figure out a better way to communicate with customers to prevent something like this from happening again. read more

I called the store first, but it was 5 minutes before they opened, so nobody picked up, but then they called me back, saying they had a missed call from me, which I thought was awesome. Our experience with them was very pleasant. They tested all the gold, which was an interesting process to watch. They also weighed the gold. So if you are selling gold, remember the weight is important too, not just the karat. I learned that today. They were quick and explained their process and wrote us a check as well. My cousin recommended them to me because she sold her gold here as well, but now I recommend them to everyone who is trying to sell gold. But make sure it's real gold, not just any imitation. This is a small location that is big on service and customization! They have an average selection of "in stock" jewelry and bullion, but that's not really the point here. I was able to go in with an idea and a few pictures and walk or a few weeks later with exactly what I wanted. No, unless you're lucky you can't pick up a stock ring the day you walk in, but if you really want that, go to a big box jewelry store and pay the premium. I couldn't be happier with the price and service I received. Highly recommended to at least go by and explore options. Get something unique! I have been engaged for about a month now and absolutely love my ring. My fiancé couldn't have gotten a better ring. He says he owes it all to Bullion. Although he had an idea of what cut and setting design he wanted to buy, he had no idea about how to go about purchasing diamonds. Nasim was extremely helpful from the moment he walked in the store. He made her aware that he was clueless about diamonds and she did everything in her power to inform him of all the important factors to consider. The thing that sold him on sticking with Bullion to buy the ring was the fact that Nasim told him to do his homework on other jewelers before he decided and she in no way ever forced him or tried to convince him to buy from them. There was always open communication throughout the entire process. He described what type of diamonds he was looking for and Nasim would inform him ASAP when similar diamonds were available. I came to this store to invest in gold and after reading all the rave reviews, I thought this was the right place to buy gold. From the moment I walked in, the man who came to open the door didn't even acknowledge me. He just opened the door and walked back behind the counter. He then left for lunch with another coworker without even saying a word. Not even a "Thanks for coming in today." The woman who helped me wasn't any better. The team was extremely patient and helpful with all of my questions. What I enjoyed the most about working with Bullion was the transparency in diamond prices. I recently purchased a diamond from here as well as worked with their jeweler to design a custom setting. I was very satisfied with my purchase as well as the shopping experience. There was no pressure or hassle while shopping here. It seemed their primary focus was to educate me on diamonds and the purchasing experience. With that and my own independent research, the value I found here far outweighed any competition. I will say that if you buy a diamond that is in stock, you will most likely receive a better deal. I literally had another diamond wholesaler say to me "go back and take that deal." All their diamonds are GIA certified. You can take the certificate number, find it on the GIA website, gather the specs, then shop them around against competitors. I could NOT find a better deal local or online. The only con is the appearance of the actual store, it's not the prettiest place compared to a place like Jared. If that hinders your opinion, consider these 2 things: 1. It's not a chain retail jewelry store. That appearance adds additional cost to the business operation and therefore those expenses ultimately find there way in to price tags. 2. A GIA certified diamond is the same anywhere, just make sure the certificate was issued from NY and that it's recent. Last thing, the ring I bought didn't fit (my fault). They sent it back to their jeweler and had it resized with no issue. Again, very satisfied with my experience here. I will be going back for bands.
