I have taken in a couple of projects. One was an old Rado that needed more specialized help. The second was a vintage mechanical movement that hadn't been serviced for 20+ years. They got it fully serviced and calibrated for an eminently reasonable price. The latest project is to find a new movement for an old NOS case that would be amazing to get operational. I needed watch batteries replaced & had the good fortune to choose JP Jewelers, a fine jewelry store within the Lotte Market in Chantilly. The owner, Jade, not only changed the batteries but advised me on the proper fit & cleaning of my watches. I felt like I had 2 brand new watches! I brought Jade a small 1937 gold piece that had been my grandfather's lucky piece while he was alive. My grandmother had put it in a necklace after he died and I was so afraid I'd damage it trying to get it out. My grandson collects coins and it was a perfect heirloom to give him for his birthday. Jade carefully removed the piece without a problem and didn't even charge me for it. She told me to tell my grandson Happy Birthday. :) Since then I have brought her a couple of watches for repair and an heirloom necklace that needed work. She is so kind, knowledgeable, and professional, and charges very reasonable prices. Many thanks to Jade and JP Jewelers! I had taken my Seiko watch to have the battery replaced at the watch repair shop at Fair Oaks mall. The next day, the watch was losing time, so I took it back to that shop and they replaced the battery again. A day later, it was losing time again, so I took it back and asked if it could be a problem with the movement, which they had replaced 2 years ago. The staffperson just shrugged and said the movement was no longer covered. I got my $ back and started searching for a new watch. After reading Yelp reviews of JP Jewelers, I decided to give them a try and Jade was wonderful. She replaced the faulty Renata battery (the other place had put in) with a Maxell battery, which she said is more reliable. She also removed the face and thoroughly cleaned my beloved watch. All within 24 hours and a buck cheaper than the other place. My watch is working perfectly. I'm only bringing my watches and jewelry here from now on. read more

Ive come here several times to fix jewelry and make some modifications to pieces that I own. The lady that works here has been super quick for the work that we've needed. Ive mostly brought broken necklaces and clasps to her and Ive been in and out in less than 15 minutes each time. Her labor is fairly priced too. Sometimes things will take longer but in that case she'll give you a ticket and will call you when she's done. If youre interested in buying jewelery I noticed they have a lot of 14k, and 18k. Really nice pieces. Their store sign also shows 24k jewelry but these past few times Ive browsed I haven't seen many 24k pieces. I couldve come at a low stock time though. read more

Jade who works here was fabulous. She was very courteous explaining the options for my repair and was up front about pricing and time estimated. All COVID regulations are being followed, and the jewelry for sale there is quite beautiful as well. I needed multiple necklaces untangled, one chain soldered and fixed, and a watch battery installed so I was grateful to spend less than $60 on it all. Amazing service. The woman that helped me knew everything about watches! I didn't even know they were tucked in back here but I will be coming in often now. They also sell high end watches so I will be picking up some of those in the future. When she replaced my watch battery she also put silicon on the seal to make it water resistant in the future and cleaned the back of watch panel. 5 stars all the way, Jade is very personable and has a great smile. I brought in three of my watches to have the batteries changed, and one of them to be resized. She clean them and put new gaskets in all of them. I was not charged for the resizing as a compliment for visiting her place for the first time.
