I found this unassuming jeweler on the Internet after comparing jewelers, and then directed my then-fiancé to them with specific instructions on the design on a setting I found. Upon hearing what I wanted, and knowing my ring size (4), they wisely advise he should bring me in. The original design would've been very overwhelming to my petite hand, and so they designed from scratch using the original setting and my input as inspiration. They also took a look at my Boar Cufflinks, one tusk had broken off and I wondered if anything could be done. Rami warned me that he could glue it, but was not sure how long it would last. He did so, and it was OK for another day or so- but still, the expectations were set! 2) I later went to design a custom engagement ring. Rami and Yoon were both very honest, helpful, and genuine in their suggestions and information provided. I gradually felt more comfortable after multiple meetings with Rami to discuss budget, options, payment, carats, etc. There were no surprises, everything was straightforward and he explained any topic I had questions on. He was very flexible about scheduling (Usually I would stop by in early or late), which was very accommodating to my schedule. I was able to go to the jewelry store during my 1 hour lunch break and wait about 15 minutes while they resized my ring. Jewelry in NYC, but her rings were out of budget. Young spent time working with me to design my dream ring and essentially recreated the exact design that I've been eyeing but at a much more reasonable price. Plus, he handmakes his rings so it was possible for me to get the delicate gold band that I've always dreamed of without having to worry about its durability. Handcrafted jewelry is rare nowadays as it takes actual craftsmanship and time. The hand-hammering creates a much stronger ring than the typical mold process that the majority of jewelers use. Plus, I now have a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that I can pass down as an heirloom piece thanks to Young. After a tragic accident involving a sack of groceries, a gold bracelet I'd bought in India and loved dearly appeared mangled beyond repair. However, the goldsmith at Clarion magically restored it and didn't charge a thing. Since the bracelet was constructed like no bracelet I've ever seen in the states, I was completely impressed that he figured out how it worked and how to fix it. I had such a wonderful experience at Clarion! They were friendly and very trustworthy. They read my GIA number back to me after resizing my ring to assure it was the same diamond. They were quick and well worth the price! It only cost around $40 to resize my ring where other places were quoting me $100+. It took only about 30minutes to get my ring resized! Many other places told me it would take about a week. When my ring was a little too tight going over my knuckle, I can back a few days later and they made my ring slightly larger for free. I highly, highly recommend this store and I could not be happier with my experience; Rami is amazing at his craft and my engagement ring turned out incredibly beautiful. I've already had people stop me on the street to look at my 2 carat stunner! :) There is zero pressure throughout the process which is very different than my experience at some of the large jewelry stores (one store kept calling and emailing when my fiance and I were no longer interested and politely told them so). Please do not be put off by the smaller size of the store - this means extremely hands on and individualized service. I am extremely picky and Rami worked with me to make sure the design of the ring was EXACTLY the way I wanted it and even made several corrections to the design and casting. They accommodate your schedule and are always available to answer questions and educate you about diamonds, Rami will give you an honest and knowledgeable opinion.
