Went there for the first time with the hubby and MIL on October 15, 2022 around 1pm. Good food but small portions. Very slow service and there was only 3 other people there. Beautiful, extremely attractive property, beautifully landscaped. I saw goats there yesterday. I recommend lunch at their cafe. Seating indoors or on terrace overlooking Keuka Lake. Food very tasty. Interesting system: You are seated; someone reads you the specials and brings you the menu. But you must stand on line to order your food and pay while placing your order. Someone brings your food to your table. Interesting museums up the hill from the cafe. Good gift shop, although the selection seemed not as great as before COVID (understandable). Attractive tasting room with lake view. However, the one wine I tasted was so not to my liking that I didn't proceed to taste others. It was a Pinot Gris and I've never had one I didn't like. If they had been like other wineries and had me taste 5 wines for $10, then I would have tried others. But they have a different system: $2 each tasting. So I'll never know if I should have tried other wines. read more

Favorite winery on our wine tour in the area! Not only was the view gorgeous, but the wine was incredible! The tasting which is only $8 includes 5 tastes and you get to keep the glass, a fantastic deal. Curt our server did an excellent job of walking us through the flavors, sugar levels and making of each wine option. This was super helpful in allowing us to choose which wine we wanted each round. He also interacted with us a lot and made the hour extra fun, giving a special cheers to the bride and cracking jokes. My favorite of the wines was Sweet Walter Peach. It was delicious, bursting with peach flavor, and extremely refreshing. I also really enjoyed the Bass Reisling which was a little bit dryer and tame, but the blend of grapes and apple created an incredibly smooth sip. The gift shop has all their wines available by bottle and case at super reasonable prices. I got my favorites for only $10 each. Absolutely come check out this winery! read more

You'll find that the Bully Hill wines as good or superior to other wineries that charge 2.5x-3x as much. As for the tasting experience - the host is friendly and knowledgable, you sit at tables a good distance from other tables, and enjoy good air circulation. Bully hill vineyards was one of the best vineyards visited in finger lakes. We were a party of 5, which all seats were about 6ft apart from other parties. The host was amazing when it came to story telling about the history of all the wines. Most of the wines were on the sweet side, but they were all stilly tasty and were a good amount poured to enjoy. At the end, glasses that we drank from were wrapped up and given to us as souvenirs. It was a great experience and the view on the outside was breathtaking. read more

We came here for a couple of reasons. We heard from a relative how awesome this place was. One thing it was enormous, we finally found the entrance and found out that you were required to have a reservation in which we didn't have. We were put on a waiting list and waited 20 minutes only to find out that no availability was available. A group of 10 intoxicated half dressed ladies pulled up in a limo and went inside. They seemed belligerent, and they told us sorry no spots were available. We went into the building and purchased a few bottles of wine. Not knowing what it taste like. When we left, I did notice the small room with all of the people sitting around tables on top of each other. I was surprised that they had everyone so up on each other. From what I seen it didn't look like they were following any social distance rules. I was happy we didn't get chosen. As we left, those 10 girls were kicked out. They should have never been admitted in the first place. Bad decisions, I will not be back to this place. read more

This was my second time here for lunch and I brought the whole family this time and it did not disappoint! First off the view is spectacular and their landscaping all around the property is just gorgeous, A for atmosphere! They have a good variety of dishes to please a large group, between all of us we ordered the salmon salad, turkey sandwich, chicken salad and the brisket sandwich, everyone loved there food! My father-in-law also had the mushroom soup and he said it was the best he'd ever had. Bully Hill has a beautiful location overlooking Keuka Lake I wish I could do a separate review of the winery and the restaurant. The winery is beautiful and well kept, but I don't really love their wines and compared to other wineries I've found their tasting room to be a little below standard. They do, however, have an excellent restaurant that we have visited several times. The restaurant includes lunch and dinner selections that are reasonably priced. The food quality is excellent as is the service. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is on a covered deck that overlooks the vineyards and Keuka Lake. Overall it's worth a stop, but I would recommend it more for the restaurant than the winery. read more

Bully Hill has quite a lot to offer in the way of vineyards. There is a museum, restaurant, vineyard, tasting rooms and breathtaking views. It is not your average run-of-the-mill winery, but something more. Hubby and I are huge fans of Bully Hill wines and decided to make a special trip there even though we were quite a distance away. Due to the long commute between our selected vineyards, it took us a solid hour to make it to Bully Hill. We arrived about four o'clock and were informed that the first tasting room was shut down and no longer offering multiple tastings, with the souvenir glass. As a result, we had to do the $1.00 per taste option and we didn't receive a glass regardless of how much we tasted. We spent the same amount of money but got no glass because they end that promotion at 4. That's slightly frustrating, considering that people are driving several hours to make it specifically to Bully Hill. Their wines are reasonably priced and in some cases even cheaper than what you'll find at the liquor store. The museum is cool and provided quite a bit of information on the history of the vineyard. I was very curious about the artwork on the bottles and I learned a bit about that in the museum. Great vineyard with plenty offered on the grounds. Worth a visit if in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily venture there specifically again. read more

Beautiful place, with a wonderful view of the area. We were seated right away without reservations, for lunch, al fresco. I don't know if it's a COVID procedure or the norm here, but we had to order and pay at the counter first, then the food was served to us. I didn't care, the setting was beautiful, the service was prompt and polite, and the food was delicious. I had the chicken melt which really did melt in my mouth, the caramelized onions with cheese reminded me of a cheesesteak, and the soft bread roll it was served on was wonderful. Others in my party like their food too. We ordered a bottle of their Pinot Noir which was delicious enough I brought back a bottle. read more

One of the best wineries in the Fingerlakes area! They have a cozy small restaurant that looks over the breathtaking views, a gift shop and large wine tasting room! The restaurant serves food from 11 to 330 Wednesday to Sunday. You order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you which is different but the food was absolutely delicious! It was better than I thought! Their homemade bbq sauce was so flavorful so I bought a bottle from their cute gift shop, as well as some jams, truffle hot sauce, marinara, bully hill hoodie, candles which were very expensive $30 bucks a piece, and champagne honey mustard! I was disappointed that I didn't check the expirations dates and some of the products I bought were expired. I spent a good amount of money at the gift shop so it was very disappointing. The restaurant and tasting room was a great experience! They serve bbq food for the most part. We met a nice older gentleman named Graham who took good care of us at the wine tasting room! He was very pleasant, great with people and funny sense of humor! Thanks Graham! The wine was so tasty and we bought a bottle of sweet walter loganberry wine to go! One of my favorites! When you're doing some wine tastings, you'll get the munchies. We stopped by to grab some lunch. Things to note: - there is no tipping required. It's baked into the price. - ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The Carolina sauce was ok for me. They also didn't really pull the pork and had lots of big chunks. - rosemary fries - you can taste it slightly, but the fries are too thin. - veal burger - big patty comes with lettuce, tomatoes. Wife liked it and it was juicy. The wines here aren't that great and would probably skip it. It's also pricey too where it's $1 for each sample that you get. Pours aren't that big either. read more

Whoa, boy. My lunch here was INCREDIBLE. I got the BBQ sampler. It came with a giant pile of pulled pork, sliced brisket, smoked chicken wings, jalapeno cornbread, a pile of mac and cheese, and some vinegar based cole slaw. Not only was everything delicious (especially the pulled pork!) but our waitress (a short blonde woman named Gail or something that started with a G) was very sweet and attentive. The view here is nothing short of spectacular, and if we had more time I'm sure I would have enjoyed touring the rest of the grounds. Loved it! read more

A day of wineries started out at Bully Hill. It was quite a warm day but the view was unbelievable! We started out with the tasting $5 includes a wine glass. Wines were very good but favorite was late harvest Vidal blanc. They even had a recipe 2 is of the wine and 2 oz of vodka and grapes to garnish. Next was the tour of the vineyards. It started with the history of how the winery started very interesting - won't spill the beans I suggest you do the tour to find out about the goat!!!! But we also learned about the climate to grow the grapes and the whole process of turning them into wine. Then our tour guide suggested we try the ravat 51. That was outstanding and we ended up buying that as well. We didn't have time to visit the museum, gift shop or restaurant. Literally ran out of time. We will be back to enjoy the rest and get some more wine. read more

Views are stunning. Service is slightly different from what we're expecting. I guess from hearing customers talk, until last year it was a regular sit down restaurant with table service. Starting this year, you're seated by a hostess with Menus. When you've decided what you want you have to go indoors and order at the counter, and pay. Once your order is finished, the wait staff will bring it to your table. Took about 15 minutes to wait in line for lunch for a group of 4 This is fine until you need a new drink. Then you have to go back in line for (took us 8 minutes the 2nd time) a while to order jew drinks. Food was good. Drinks were as expected. Views are spectacular. Wow, you don't get hereby accident! Very steep,hill yields amazing views. This is a huge place with very large tasting areas and a very popular restaurant and nice gift shop. The view is spectacular, restaurant is busy. Out door under roof seating you order at a stand and they bring out your lunch. We've had this at other wineries but no where do they do it as well. Wine or beverages come out first. Then lunch. Hostesses circle with water and to fill any requests. Food is very good. They smoke their own meats and turkey. Brisket sandwich awesome with a tangy bbq sauce on the side. Note to restaurant either. CLear the. Nozzle or get something else as we had to remove top to dispense sauce) loved the cranberry mayo on the turkey. Great experience. Then go. Back down the hill and browse hammondsport. Scenery Beautiful . Wine was good, But we loved the Teddy Roosevelt atmosphere . The check out guys were nice and offered to assist us in anyway we needed I just thought the walk up the hill from parking lot to store was not as steep as it was, definitely not a great walk up with our age and our handicap situation . I have a horrible back, my friend has had back surgery, my girlfriend had one hip replaced and was waiting on the next hip to be done and then my hubby with his COPD issues. This review is for the restaurant - not the winery (which is a perfectly fine, if busy winery). We ate lunch here during our last wine weekend and all four of us ordered the same burger - the bacon cheddar prime burger. I ordered mine medium and it came out medium-well to well (as did the others) but it did not matter because this was the finest ground, juiciest, most glistening burger any of us had ever experience. The roll was super fresh, the Cuba cheese was decadently rich and the entire burger was a flavor explosion in your mouth. This is the first time any of us have been to the restaurant part so we can't reflect on the other menu items - but the burger is out of this world! Oh, and they give you placemats and crayons when you sit down so you can design your own wine label - which was fun! read more
