What a beautiful day it was. On our way home from dropping off our son at college and an emotional day, we decided to take a detour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A beautiful setting, friendly service, great wine and food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the scallops and crab cake and my husband had the Turkey club. Our food was delicious and good portion size. Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer due to an unexpected call and had to but will definitely be back

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful winery as expected in the wonderful Keuka Lake area of NY![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved the wine and the service, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]especially impressed by the atmosphere of a relaxing outdoor vineyard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also the shop is great for souvenirs!

We came for a wine tasting and will need to return for lunch! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their tasting room was bright and airy, with large windows looking out to the lake below.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

This review is specifically about the restaurant on the Bully Hill Vineyard property, and not at all about the wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a warm October day today and we ate outside on the large porch with a scenic vista of Keuka down below.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The weather was incredible and the food just lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You place your own order in the kitchen and then servers deliver it to your table. The dining experience was great including the smoked wings (which were huge and a tiny bit tough/undercooked but still very good), pulled pork sandwich (excellent) Smashburger (excellent), sides of salt potatoes, fried green tomatoes, and a vinegar-based coleslaw (all excellent.). Prices were very reasonable.

I did not visit the tasting room but enjoyed the restaurant very much!! We ordered the bbq platter and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The food was great and Sweet Walter peach wine was delicious. The only worry was the waitress told us their were additional food items for the kids menu and when our party went to order the food the kitchen staff said their were no such food. We then heard them yelling at the waitress for telling us their was other food. That poor woman. We were so uncomfortable hearing them yell at her and berate her for simply saying their was cheese pizza when their wasn't. Hopefully this isn't a regular thing yelling and berating your staff. The gift shop was a nice touch. The worker was charming and funny and we enjoyed finding new treasures in there. Will definitely return here for more food and drinks and hopefully the kitchen staff being nice to the wait staff.

We had fun from the first moment we stepped through the doors! Greg made sure to let us know that he was not our server, however, he would be bringing us our food once we placed the order at the counter. Everything we ordered tasted delicious! We started off with the chocolate peanut butter pie, and discovered that it is the best in the region! We tried three other varieties of peanut butter pie at different locations over the next few days, and nothing came close to the flavor, components, and presentation of this delectable dessert. My husband is originally from Buffalo and always compares wings to his favorite spot. The smoked wings and smoked turkey sandwich we enjoyed for lunch were phenomenal. After indulging in a filling lunch, we took a stroll over to the tasting room. The view from the hillside was spectacular, overlooking Keuka Lake. We found plenty of room to sit at the tasting bar and had a great time with the guys working the bar. There were several varietals that we enjoyed and one of our favorites was the Goat Red.

We had the full experience at Billy Hill vineyards. We dined for lunch then walked over to the tasting room and tasted wines, and prior to leaving walked through their extensive multi level gift shop. Dining at Bully Hill is casual. You're seated by a hostess, given a menu, then you go to the counter and order your food and beverages. A wait person brings your food to you when the order is ready. The system works well! We were able to sit on the deck overlooking the parking lot and lake beyond, due to an unusually warm spell mid April. After lunch we walked to tasting room and were greeted by a young man who was knowledgeable and engaging. It was an excellent experience! When reviewing wineries I often don't review the wines themselves. I find wine to be very personal, and due to the variations between vintages often one's taste changes from vintage to vintage.

BBQ sampler and Crab Cake & Scallops ! So delicious

BEST food in Finger Lakes that we've tried on our trip! And the view is AMAZING with a balcony patio and a separate winery tasting building at the back. For lunch, we ordered the BBQ Sampler (all the meats were juicy and flavourful) and the Crab Cake + Scallops (good portions and fresh). We then made our way to the wine tasting bar & shop at the back, we tried all their whites & reds available and found their Riesling and sweet/dessert wines too sweet. They do have a few reds that were more interesting and up our alley! You do get a complimentary wine glass with your tasting and % discount if you buy 6+ bottles.

Depending on…read moreweather, temperature, and time of day some of the options may be uncomfortable, so choose based on when you go. I was in the dining room because it was a little chilly outside. Glad of it because when we were leaving we noticed there were mosquitoes outside. Cocktail: Toucan with bourbon, orange, pineapple, simply syrup, lemon. Delicious! Non-alcoholic: They also had a black tea and lemonade which I got to be less sweet, it's as expected. They have different flavors and I'm not sure which one they gave me. Went here specifically because Chef Cruz is there this summer. So I can only speak to his menu. My group had: The calamari salad with lemon vinaigrette, herbs, cucumber. This has a fresh, bright flavor. This is on a bed of greens. (Sometimes seafood salad is just the seafood) I would get this again. The chicken empanadas with spicy lime aioli had a nice flavor and crunch. Both the filling and dough were nice. I typically spring for a beef empanada, but after these chicken ones, I'll try getting chicken in the future. The burrata & cantaloupe with arugula, pistachios, balsamic, EVOO was very tasty. Given the size and proportion, it's more like a fruit and nut salad with a side of burrata. The house salad with orange honey vinaigrette, fennel, cucumber has a very nice flavor and is good on its own, but kind of redundant with the other salad-forward apps that we chose. The clam toast with bacon, white wine, parsley was very good. There's only two small pieces of toast, which were a little too charred to fully eat, but the clams and broth were very nice. You should ask for a spoon if you really like the broth. I just scooped the broth using the little clam shells. The chipotle chicken wings (special for the day) were very good. The chicken was tender and "fell off the bone." The wings were coated with a good amount of sauce with some heat to them. There was a green aioli dip to cut the heat. Dessert - got the chocolate panna cotta, which was more of a large chocolate pudding in a glass. Not like other panna cotta I've tried. Our server was great. I'm not sure of her name, but she was efficient and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you are close by this summer!

But food unfortunately was rather disappointing. Burger was very basic and really not nicely presented, with just a slice of tomato and onion (I asked w/o onion, but everything else). Fries were great and the wine was good. Steak was disappointing, not a good cut, very chewy. For an elevated price point, food has to be better. Service was good, except for the mixup (onion/lettuce), everyone was very friendly and everything was served in a timely manner.

Richard and I were looking for a lovely place to say goodbye to lake Seneca on our final day of our…read moretrip. We also wanted somewhere to take our pure bred toy poodle, Lady Dionne. because lady Dionne can only eat human food as prescribed by her nutritional and spiritual Guide, Debra. (She's French) "oui" needed a classy joint that would cater to mama d (aka lady Dion) this is why we chose 3812. We had a reservation for 6:45 and we arrived fashionably late (6:48) ready to shove some rah rah down our gullets. My husband Richard had actually prepped his throat by lubing it a teeny bit with his great aunt's special sauce (it's just Olive Garden Italian dressing™) Instead of being led to our table like you would at a normal human restaurant, the child at the counter said "your table is back there go find u you old hag" after we did that and bodied it down at our table we were verbally assaulted as a way of greeting by our waitress. In doing so, lady Dionne let out a yell that was so damn loud, it broke a vase and popped my hernia. After the incident, we took a moment to pursue the menu. The options are as follows: sandwich, taco, burger, knock off Olive Garden. We got two appetizers which arrived before we were even able to order our meals (just to explain the timing of everything) and the food was just okay mamma I'll tell you that. Then it was time for us to wait 3 hours for our food. During this time we begged the gods and our ancestors that we honor on our ofrenda to do something, ANYTHING , so we could get our food soon. We hadn't seen a worker in what felt like years. Then finally it happened, we found a member of staff. Could he read? No. Could he write? Not fully. Was he bipedal! Of course not! But he was the most attentive employee. He also was in fact a chocolate lab. His named was rocky and him and lady Dionne went through an enemies to lovers. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife!! at this point we were getting so ravenous, Richard actually suggested getting a spit roast started at one point so I needed to use my body to protect rocky from his hungry and searching hands . Richard was completely non verbal. I watched in horror as Richard went through his war flashbacks in silence. (This is what happens to Richard when his sugar gets low) we asked rocky to see where the food was. Also just to set the vibe, we were the only people in the restaurant, I learned that the other table were actually just employees!!! (They got served very fast btw) rocky came back and spoke to us in English. He said "I don't know where your food is but I would like to ask lady Dionne for her hand in marriage" After the nuptials were finalized our food finally came. The burger was 8 oz of two inch thick, overcooked and in seasoned beef!!! It was disgusting and lady Dionne agreed. She prefers her purina. The chicken parm is much better at Olive Garden. At least when you are there, they treat you like family. The fries were nasty. the only good item was the stir fry but let's be honest... it's kind of impossible to mess up. This place has a 4.5 on yelp. And I just want to meet some of the girl boss mamas who rated this a five star and asked, who paid them, and how I can also get paid to write good reviews because review writing is something I am very good at as you can tell. At the beginning of the meal, I was actually considering ordering the crème brûlée. But I realized that I ultimately had to chose between ordering a dessert or seeing my grand children grow up. (Because it would take 20 years) anyway this place was not great at all and shouldn't have the rating it does. But I guess because of lady Dionne's nuptials with rocky, we are family. Good thing lady d always does a prenup and her lawyer is on speed dial. my recommendation is to not go here. okay thanks love ya!
