Visited after a day trip to ZION and hiking Angel's Landing. The staff were excellent and the pizza was delicious. Perfect snack after exiting Zion!

So incredibly grateful Slice of Zion made our heart shaped pizza for our anniversary!

Lousy pizza! Very little sauce, not much cheese and everything had very little flavor. And a 16" is $30.

We asked for an inside table for A/C and waited an extra 15 mins to sit inside. Otherwise, a table was ready outside. After 15 mins, we were seated in the back patio, totally exposed to the outside elements. Not what we were expecting but we were hungry so we hunkered down on the patio, in the summer heat. The fly deterrent fan propellers were definitely needed and appreciated for the fly issue in the patio. Our waiter, Jaylin (sp?), was excellent. He brought us water right away. Took our drink and food order quickly and was very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered way too much food but it was fine for leftovers. The kids fettuccine with marinara sauce was good. Pepperoni and combo pizzas were ok. The crust was super crunchy. We parked in the back of the building. It could get packed during peak hours. Not sure if I would return. We are still looking for THE pizza spot in Zion.

The beer battered shrimp tacos on corn tortilla was really good and came with chips. Do try the "dirty soda"--vanilla root beer, coconut cream and lime. Loved it. The fried pickles were also fantastic, especially with the great ranch dip. However, the Mission Salad was just ok. We actually had to reorder it because they initially forgot to add the roasted corn and black beans. If a server had been available, this could have been addressed immediately. Instead, I had to go up to the counter, wait for someone, and then let them know about the order issue. Even after it was remade, there was simply too much lettuce, and for the price, it really isn't worth it. Service-wise, I was frustrated by having to tip before even being served. Additionally, the staff never checked on us during our meal to see if everything was good or to refill our water. I'm torn between a 3-star and a 4-star review because service means everything, especially in this day and age where everything is outrageously expensive.

They also have a wine cellar, which is a nice feature, and a great selection of Italian favorites. I also appreciated that they were willing to customize drinks. I ordered a mojito made with vodka instead of rum, and the service at the bar was excellent. As I looked around the restaurant, I noticed the serving team was attentive and timely. The entire restaurant was very clean, and there was great attention to detail throughout--not only with the food and presentation, but also behind the bar. The bartender was new, but she was very attentive and accommodating with the changes and requests I made. Parking was a bit confusing with multiple QR codes--using the wrong one will result in paying to park, which could be explained better. The hostess was welcoming, and our waiter was very nice. Our drinks took quite a while to arrive, and when our meals came out, my daughter's and mine arrived, but my husband's was missing. We were told he had only ordered a salad, which wasn't correct, so his entrée had to be ordered while we ate. No one enjoys having one person at the table waiting for their meal while everyone else is finished eating. The manager explained it was our waiter's second day. I understand everyone has to learn, but new employees should be properly supported until they're comfortable. That's fair to both the employee and the customer. Unfortunately, after driving nearly an hour each way, the experience didn't live up to our expectations.

We ordered the elk burger, which was very good, along with one of their specialty cocktails--the prickly pear margarita ($16). It was the perfect sipping drink while taking in the Zion scenery.
