We looked through the list of clever ice cream names and decided on the Early Morning Shuttle (sweet cream ice cream with a little espresso, caramel, and chunks of brownie) and Muddy Virgin River (chocolate ice cream with marshmallows and brownies). The ordering process was inefficient and chaotic. We placed our order with one employee who rang it up. Then another employee asked us what we wanted, but we told her we were already helped, but it became apparent we needed to tell her our order again to actually get the ice cream. Once we got our ice cream, there was no seating so we ate it in our car. My child said the Shuttle tasted like bug spray and had a weird taste to it. The Muddy River was okay. I remember when this place used to be located in the back of the Bumbleberry gift shop. But after they remodeled the building a few years ago, the ice cream and bakery are closer to the front of the store. On a past visit, I have tried their Bumbleberry pie a la mode. And I highly recommend people to try it. However, I have decided to get ice cream with my parents and sister on my recent visit. What I love about their menu is the silly names. For example, Vanilla and Chocolate were spelled backwards. Anyway, I ordered one scoop and requested a half scoop of Coyote Moon. This flavor stood out because it has chocolate peanut butter cups and fudge sauce embedded in vanilla ice cream. Then, I asked for a half scoop of Mt. Carmel Tunnel that is toffee-flavored ice cream with caramel-filled cups. I appreciate the friendly female employees who were working on a Friday evening. They were generous with the scoop servings despite me asking for a single scoop. If I visit Springdale in the future, I would love to try the Walter's Wiggles which is described as vanilla ice cream with brownie and cookie dough in a chocolate cookie revel. We visited here for an after dinner treat and the location was very busy. We thought that was a good sign and that the ice cream was going to be tasty. The line moved slowly and the ordering, reordering and paying process was a little confusing. I would guess that they are trying to prepare for the upcoming influx of tourists but be prepared with some patience when you attend. The employees were nice and trying their best. In terms of the ice cream, they have a wide range of flavors with names that reflect the location near Zion. Our choices were a bit of a hit and miss. They also offer fudge and Bumbleberry pie. My husband got the muddy virgin river and also great. Would go here again. Place was also very clean & cute. Tucked within the Bumbleberry Giftshop, the bakery has a variety of sweet treats & fancy drinks, w.options of dine inside tables, outdoor benches, or take to go carriers. We stopped in for some to-go post-hike, well earned, ice cream. They offer a variety of flavors-each w.a clever, local Zion-based, name. Reading closely most were your basic combinations (mint chocolate, rocky road, chocolate marshmallow) just snazzed up by their naming, but there were also more unique seasonal homemade flavor combinations. Unfortunately, the specific flavor I had seen on their website was seasonally changed out, but luckily they had a really friendly staff member willing to let me sample some, finding an alternative. I opted for one scoop ($4.50) of Great White Throne-swirled w.fresh coconut, almond chunks, and chocolate chips. The scoop was quite large & each bite was loaded with ingredients. The staff member also nicely threw some malt powder on top, which hit the spot deliciously :) My husband opted for a Glampling milkshake, which is where my only woe of the business comes from. Milkshakes ($5.99) are listed as flavor choice, milk, whipped cream, and one free topping. However, upon checking out we saw additional charges for whipped cream & topping. When we inquired, because the sign clearly read 'included', he kept assuring us it was fine, but the bill clearly higher from added charges. Was just a bit frustrating to try to get it cleared up & he just swiped our card, overcharged us, and moved on to the next customer. But in the end, the ice cream was delicious. We stopped in here for a late evening post trail snack a few times during our recent Spring Break trip to Zion National Park. They had ice cream, baked goods and lots of different chocolate bars like Hammonds! I decided to order the piña colada muffin. Very moist and very flavorful!
