If you are considering having Bumper 2 Bumper paint your car, you owe it to yourself to read this review in its entirety. Without a doubt one of the worst business transactions I have ever endured. Dropped off my car on February 24th to paint and refinish my car with bad fractured clear coat issues. Was initially told by Tommy the job would last 5 days and was then told by Memo it would be 9 days. Car was "finished" 3 weeks later with Memo stating the hood and roof had dullness issues. Upon arrival to get my car it was clear the car was not properly prepped and stripped prior to painting. The same fractures in the same areas were apparent with a coat of paint on top of them. Was told by Memo the paint had to cure for 3 weeks and then it would be wet sanded and buffed. After wet sanding and buffing a second time, Memo decided to repaint it after all and said they put a sealer on the hood and roof in an attempt to cover the fractures instead of properly stripping it. Had to wait another 2 weeks to bring it in for wet sanding and buffing a third time. When I picked up my car it was evident we had another problem. Clusters of white spots appeared below the surface all over the hood. Brought it back AGAIN, and was told it had to be repainted again. After the third repainting, the finish was worse than the first time, with Memo saying it would have to be wet sanded and buffed a FOURTH time. So, after the fourth wet sand and buff I found it glossier than the first time and no white spots, but the same original fractures were still visible especially on a sunny day. I confronted Memo with the fact that this was still not acceptable and he said I was being unreasonable and that the car was perfect. I guess his idea of perfect is a lot different than mine. I told him I wanted at least $500 refunded to me to compensate for the substandard paint job I received. We settled on $350 and he voided the lifetime warranty on my paint job. Pretty shabby business tactics. This entire process has lasted until today which is June 11th. February 24th to June 11th. Unacceptable by any stretch of the imagination. Bottom line is this: if you have a door ding, a scratch on your bumper or a minor fender bender, this may be a good option for you. I was a nobody with a 15 year old car that kept getting pushed aside to finish corporate client jobs and large insurance claim jobs. After I complained about how long it was originally taking to finish my car, they rushed the job, failing to properly strip the old finish, and then had to scramble to cover up shabby work. Outstanding place for body / paint work. I wanted a high quality complete re-paint job on my 2001 Tacoma which was looking pretty worn after several years in the sun. I got several estimates from the quality paint shops in town and was blown away by insanely high prices. I was about to give up, and was not going go with a cheap paint job. Then I heard about Bumper 2 Bumper and spoke to Memo who is the owner, and is a pleasure to talk to. He quoted me an awesome price, and since these guys do the body / paint work for the local Infinity dealership, I figured they must do quality work. It took them 10 days to do the job, and I could not be more pleased with the work they did! Complete de-trim and prep. Several coats of base, followed by high solids clear, and buff. Trim black on the fender flares and bumpers, and they even painted my wheels, which look great. I now have a higher quality paint job than the Toyota factory puts out on it's new cars, and my truck looks better than it did when I bought it new. So glad I found this place! When my Mazda 3 hatchback was damaged in a collision with a drunk driver, I was referred to Bumper 2 Bumper by an acquaintance of mine. Skeptical of most body shops and mechanics I went in with doubts. Memo looked over the car with me and told me that he was already in contact with the insurance company. He assured me that I would be taken care of. Memo even offered up his car so that I could get a ride to the car rental place. Throughout the week David was in constant contact with me. If I had a question or if he needed approval to move forward on something he would text or call me. The bodywork was completed extremely fast. I wasn't able to pick up my car during the week because of my work schedule but David was extremely helpful and had someone meet me at the shop on a saturday when they were closed. My car had been sitting in the shop for a few days and got pretty dusty. They didn't want me to leave with a dusty car so they did a quick detail job to make sure my car looked 100% before leaving. I am a picky person, but after looking over the car and seeing the immaculate body and paint work I was sold. These guys are amazing. My car looks better than when I bought in used. I just spent everything I had to my name on a pretty clean Acura TL and less than a month of owning it disaster struck. I had an extremely bad scratch and white marks near the back right tire and it really ruined the entire look of the car. Tommy was the coolest and most helpful guy. Writing to share a great experience at Bumper 2 Bumper. Met the owner Memo, spoke about my goals for a older classic chevy. Work involved match painting, a little rust repair, some welding of body panel holes, fairly broad scope. Memo and I discussed the work and he gave me the quote, off to the races. Couple key points here. Memo is great at communicating. Fantastic customer relations. Always the gentleman. Shop has a family feel to it. Wife and kids often around. Shop did far more work than initially contracted. Way beyond my expectation. My car is now essentially done and restored. We added to the scope of work during the repair but each time the work was done right, really well done. Fair pricing. The whole nine yards. Great experience. I will be taking other cars in for work. This is a long over due review. I had my front bumper repainted back in April or May '13 I believe. After the previous owner did a crappy job and the paint on the bumper started chipping away. I found Bumper 2 Bumper on Yelp. Seeing that they had only around 10 overall reviews, majority 5 stars. But they have the best Yelp deal around. So I decided to go with them. Plus they were close to my work. I got an online quote by sending pictures of the damage thru their website. Dave was awesome, he helped a lot and answered all my questions and got back to me quick. He gave me a great price and was able to lower it since I would be taking off the bumper myself and bringing it in. They did a perfect job on the color match. Should have check it thoroughly before leaving with the bumper. When I got home it felt really rough on most of the bumper. It was over spray from the clear coat. I went with Bumper 2 Bumper because they were in my area, and had great reviews. I'm very glad I went there. Great body work, excellent work ethic, and very outgoing staff. The owner, Memo, si s so easy to deal with. After perfectly paint matching my door to a 10 year old car he threw in a lot of extras: the entire interior and exterior was detailed, buffed, waxed vacuumed, and shampooed. The headlights were originally fogged completely over and now they look brand new! On top of all that, the same day I wrecked my door a semi kicked a rock right into my windshield. He did the install on that with a factory windshield below cost! Even Safelite and other local companies wouldn't come near his price! I just picked up my car yesterday and it is perfect! I shopped around several shops and decide to try b2b because their estimator sounded knowledgeable and the price was good. They were one of the lowest quotes, but for the price were including a lot more work than the other shops i spoke with. Considering that my car is an 04 and the paint is a very unique color, I actually expected (especially for the price) that the color might be a little off. I was wrong, the work was amazing, and they even went above and beyond to sand and clear my headlights and add a coat of wax to the car. Wish that I could give 6 stars! I rarely take the time to post anything (good or bad) on the internet, however, Bumper 2 Bumper provided such an amazing repair that I felt compelled to do so. Car: Audi A5, 2008, Black Damage: hit a cement pillar with back-right corner panel. Severe paint and body damage to that particular area. Quote: went to over 5 body shops and Bumper 2 Bumper was the most competitive. Time: completed ahead of schedule. Quality: Perfection... In my opinion, the repair could not have been done better. They went above and beyond. Service 1 (back-right corner panel): Fixed the damage and even perfectly molded the metal to retain it's original lines (anyone that's seen an A5 knows the lines are a thing of beauty, so i'm particularly thrilled about their craftsmanship skills here). Additionally, Bumper 2 Bumper provided a top-notch paint job (dealership quality, very impressed). Service 2 (driver-side fog light): Someone decided to practice their kicking abilities on my drivers-side fog light (thanks), so I took this as an opportunity to get it repaired. David called several different after-market shops to see if there were replacements, but the actual glass lens was broken and the Audi dealership was the only place we could obtain the needed piece. He handled everything and only charged me for the part and a fraction of what the actual labor should have been. Service 3 (back-left corner panel paint issue - surprise fix): During the initial consultation David immediately noticed the horrible paint job on my back-left corner-panel. When he asked what happened I simply told him, "I trusted the wrong people". He actually looked angry for me, which I appreciated. He asked if I wanted to get it fixed and I said, "of course, but I can't afford it right now." When I came back to pick-up my car I didn't expect any sort of repairs to be made here, but they decided to surprise me and completely restored it (looks as good as new) FREE of charge. This shop is fantastic! Ryan is very friendly and knowledgeable. The front bumper on my Mercedes had some paint chipped off after I was forced to drive down a fire road in Oregon. I had a couple of scratches on the side, as well. Ryan gave me an estimate for the bumper and the side scratches and then he noticed some scratches on my back bumper. He decided to throw the back bumper in for free. I received two other estimates from different shops and both of them were $500-$600 more. The clear coat on the hood of my honda ridgeline failed making me start to hate the truck I love. I popped in and got a very fair estimate and scheduled the work. I had dented my driver side fender pretty good pulling out of an under ground parking lot hitting a post. It was messed up pretty bad. At first I wanted to just buy a pre-painted fender but I knew the color would be off compared to the hood and door. I bought a fender and brought it to them and not only did they gave me a very nice competitive price, but they installed it nice with no gap issues and the paint was perfect and they blended into the door and hood perfectly. It feels like a brand new car. In addition, my rear bumper was scratched really bad from some jerk driving on the wrong side in a parking lot super fast as I was pulling out. And I also let my mom borrow the car and she backed into a pole scraping near the rear tail light. These guys fixed it all of these issues all at once and in a reasonable amount of time-everything looks brand new! The value of knowing someone is going to do it right far exceeds the value in doing something cheap. Well, these guys did it right and I was never happier to compensate these guys for the work they did and the value that I get in feeling like I am in a brand new car again! read more
