I recently had my 2022 Tesla Model Y repaired after it sustained damage to the entire passenger side. The accident affected the front fender, both passenger-side doors, the rear quarter panel, and the rear bumper. Someone hit my car and left substantial damage. I took my car to to Bumper Plus Autobody because they were close to my work place. Kirrell gave me an immediate estimate and asked for the approved estimate from my insurance company. He then sent their estimate to the insurance company and it got approved right away. Kirrel communicated with me during the process, informing me when they received the parts and informing me of all communication with my insurance company. While parking, our Volvo C40 hit the corner of a wall resulting in a significant dent in the hood as well as major dents and scratches on the front grill and bumper (see attached photo). I took the car in for estimates for this repair work at 7 different body shops around San Diego ranging from dealer-authorized, large chain, to smaller independent shops. At Bumper Plus, the manager assessed the damage and explained in detail what's required to repair the damage. Bumper Plus estimate was half as much as the dealer-authorized and large chain shops and only slightly above the smaller shops, which Bumper Plus agreed to price match. Since I was paying out of pocket, the manager suggested that they attempt to repair the aluminum hood instead of replacing it. The bumper and aluminum technician came out to help assess the damage and felt confident that the dent could be repaired without further damaging the aluminum during the process. The entire job took one week as promised and the team at Bumper Plus did an incredible job restoring the hood and bumper/grill to a near new condition (see attached photo). At pick up, I was worried some sensors may not have been put back properly and the whole team came out to patiently help me test every sensor which turned out to all be in perfect working order. Even though I hope to not have to visit body shops frequently, I would definitely come back to Bumper Plus for future work and recommend this collision repair shop to family/friends without any reservation. read more
