I've tolerated a dented/cracked, left rear bumper with a broken reflector for months now on my 2008 Lexus RX350. My sister told me about Bumper Time. She raved about their workmanship, the minimal time they spent, and (most importantly) the amazing price for that type of service. I was immediately skeptical. My Lexus Carlsbad service guy advised me that my bumper fix would cost well over $1000. Aware of the serious gouging dealerships do, I believed them. So, I texted two photos of my bumper to Bumper Time. Within a half hour, Dave (the owner) texted back with a quote: $275 for the bumper repair plus $100 to install the red reflector. He recommended that I call my dealership's parts department to get the reflector. I did that and picked up the part the next day at a cost of $154. My wife also has a 2008 Lexus RX350. Her front right bumper was badly scraped and in need of a fix. Her front left headlight was seriously fogged, too. So, I took two more pics and texted Dave and his quote arrived within fifteen minutes: $275 for the bumper and $100 to de-fog the headlight. That sounded great. [Side note: My sister's friend's brand-new Lexus's bumper was also fixed for $275. It seems to me that that's the price Bumper Time charges most jobs.] I asked for a time when they could send somebody out. All of this took place on Monday, two days ago. Dave said he had an opening on Wednesday (today) at noon. I took the time slot. Today at 11 a.m., Marco and his terrific assistant, Sergio, arrived at our door. How amazing is it, that a company will come to your house or office, at your convenience, and actually be early? These are NOT Cable Guys! I ask those of you who are reading my review: Do you really want to leave your transportation at a repair shop overnight (or longer!) and either rent a car or Uber around town for the next day or two? Anyway, Marco went right to work on my wife's car in our driveway. I could tell by watching him and by talking to him that he's done this work many, many times, and that he's very proud of his work. Actually, it's artistry! Meanwhile, Sergio went to work taking off the right side of my Lexus's rear bumper so that the red reflector part could be installed. After finishing my wife's car, Marco went to work on my back bumper. By the way, as all of this was taking place, our across-the-street neighbor's mother came by to get a quote on her Mercedes. And then another neighbor with his son's car and its sadly dented bumper. Both of our cars were done by 1:10 p.m. So, two cars, completely and beautifully finished in our driveway, in a little over two hours time. The total bill was $750. Our cars look brand-new. At first I wasn't too sure if they were going to a good job. I didn't know if they were going to get the exact or color or if they were just going to try to find a similar color. I was expecting them to take at least 3-4 hours to do it. Everyone I talked said that it was $300+ and it would take a day or two and they would have to remove the bumper. Jose the technician that did the job did an amazing job. It only took him an hour and he got the exact color. And on top that it only cost me $250! I'm happy that I went went bumper time.
