Pork soup dumplings are hot and full of flavor! They are also pretty large and offered at a great price. The service was so fast, we got our food almost instantly. It's very casual inside.

Ordered: Scallion Pancake with Beef Brisket (~$10) Chicken Soup Dumplings - 4pc (~$9) Sautéed Shanghainese Udon w Chicken (~$13) Aya's take: I've been meaning to try Bund mainly because of its convenient proximity to me. We decided to dine in for lunch and were seated right away. The service was lightening fast. Within minutes of us ordering, the Sautéed Shanghainese Udon w Chicken was at the table. It's a bit suspicious but if you're hungry and in a rush, I guess you won't question it. The noodles were bouncy, chewy, and very umami with the soy sauce flavor. There's a decent amount of chicken and I enjoyed the bok choy throughout as well. The Chicken Soup Dumplings were comforting and soothing. The dumpling is a bit too doughy for my taste. They also never offered us chili oil which is very common to have with soup dumplings. We asked for some but whichever one they have isn't even that spicy. The Scallion Pancake with Beef Brisket was the one I was most excited for and most disappointed with. The beef was mostly fat and had no flavor. They put way too much hoisin sauce which just overpowered the flavor of anything else. The pancake itself was crispy and flaky but it did not come together as well as others I've had in the past. Decent try!

Got them on ubereats, and the food was overall pretty good. The beef scallion pancake was super crispy and not soggy at all. It was a little too sweet for my liking, but still I enjoyed it. The peking duck buns were slightly overpriced in my opinion, but I still liked them! The delivery was pretty fast too (I believe they deliver themselves)

I want to preface that I got this order to go. The food came out 10 minutes after ordering so wait time was pretty good. And the portion size is very generous. I really appreciated that! But personally the flavors were a miss for me. It was a touch salty for me throughout and the flavor lacked depth. Nonetheless, I'm keen to go again and try a different dish.

For walking 10-15 minutes instead of taking a train out to flushing or Chinatown, this place is great for your immediate cravings! We got the mini pork wonton soup, roast pork bun, baby bok choy, and soup dumplings. The wonton soup was great for a rainy day and the bok choy was cooked just right for the crunchiness and savoriness of the garlic cooked within. The soup dumplings were decent but were missing an essence for me. Skin was nice and thin though. They use a lighter vinegar which doesn't pack as much punch as a dip. The roast pork bun was sadly very disappointing for me but it could be that I have higher standards for this. This place is not to be dismissed. I'd definitely come back for their noodles and rice cakes next time!

I've ordered from this place and I wanted to come in person. The food was honestly... a hit or miss!! The fried pan soup dumpling and pork and shrimp shumai were DELICIOUS. I wish there was a sauce, I asked for soy sauce and there was vinegar with the pan fried soup dumpling so I ended up mixing them and pouring them over to the food. Wanton in red chili sauce was good but it was definitely more sesame sauce than chili sauce. It was good and the wanton was stuffed. Curry bun, I wasn't a huge fan of:// It needed an oomph to the flavor. It felt like there were some curry-ish something inside but not quite. Inside is clean and the service were quick and efficient. And very inexpensive!! Also if you pay with cash and spend over $30 you could get a soup dumpling dish, which would make it so worth the visit. I would stick to traditional dim sum dishes next time.

Cozy neighborhood gem with affordable tasty options! Everything was delicious but standouts were the Shanghainese pan fried pork soup dumplings, and the Dan Dan noodles. The crabmeat soup dumplings needed a little more flavor and the steamed roast pork buns needed more meat, however I enjoyed everything. If you want more flavor I recommend ordering the hot oil.

We were the only Asian in the shop 1. Salt and pepper fried chicken This honestly tasted better than it looks but it still wasn't the best. I thought it was too salty. 2. Soup dumplings I would've given this a 4 stars actually. I really liked it! Very soupy and the dumpling skin is thin. Most importantly it was $6.50 - I think it's very reasonable for New York prices. 3. Beef noodle 4. Spicy pork noodle Unfortunately, both noodles were more on the bland side. The broth is really bland and the noodles were slightly mushy and over cooked. The aunty serving us was really nice and spoke mandarin with us. I really wanted to like this spot but it isn't it for us :(

Needed dim sum and Yelp has done it. Came to this place and the food was absolutely insanely delicious! This is a small restaurant, BYOB, but the food was fresh and hot. The staff was great and took great care of our table. The food is affordable and place seemed to fill up quickly, which was great to see. I had the soup dumplings, pan friend soup dumplings (after reading I learned that they are known for this), Dan Dan noodles, and scallion pancake. I will officially be coming here 1x per month at least. Save a trip anywhere else and try this intimate, fresh, and comforting spot in Astoria!

Came here with my roommate this past weekend. It was my second time and it was definitely better than the first. Tried the soup dumplings of course, also had pork belly buns and some really delicious udon. They have really big portions. I'd say it's time to shed the whole "soft-opening" phase though, feel like they've been here for almost if not 6 months already! read more

My wife introduced me to this restaurant, and I love it! She has actually been to Shanghai and sampled lots of the food there, and according to her, Bund on Broadway is totally authentic, and according to both of us, it's fantastic! The duck Bao are so fluffy and tasty, the soup dumplings are full of gorgeous flavor, and the fried chicken bits, especially with a side of hoisin dipping sauce, are super tasty. I want to go back soon to sample the rest of the menu. For now its BYOB, but grab a 6-pack from the bodega on the corner and enjoy the wonderful food and hospitality! Well this place will make a ton of $$$. Astoria has needed legit Chinese dumplings (or legit Chinese ANYTHING) for a long time and finally.... Pork Soup Buns are so delicious. Crab Soup Buns are also delicious. Duck Bao are delicious. Spicy Pork Noodle Soup is delicious. The menu has only about a dozen items, I'm guessing that will change after they get there legs under them and officially open. Welcome to Astoria, Bund. I hope you're around a long time! read more

Though the restaurant is relatively new and have a small menu, it is not to be underestimated. The food was simple yet extraordinary and delicious. Great Chinese food has been missing from Astoria, and Bund is solving this problem. I've tried their scallion pancake, veggie dumplings, pork soup dumplings, and fried pork dumplings. No disappointments here (I am SO HAPPY to have real-deal dumplings in my neighborhood!). Scallion pancake was satisfyingly layered and crispy-chewy. The veggie dumplings were large, plump, and flavorful. The pork soup dumplings were gently gingery, and the fried pork dumplings had a subtle anise-y something going on. FWIW, I think I'd go with all steamed dumplings next time, but that's a personal preference. Everything was so good, reasonably priced (before tax/tip, our bill was like $21), and all the staff we encountered were polite and quick. I really hope Bund sticks around, and I'm looking forward to trying their other offerings, the beef noodle soup in particular. read more

New soup dumpling in Astoria also welcome. Pretty solid food, soup dumplings are tasty but limited variety. The other dishes I had include the beef noodle soup (wasnt that spicy). One thing I would say is that if you like spicy food - nothing will be spicy here but it is tasty. Recommend the soup dumplings over everything else with a close second to the beef soup. read more

I love their soup dumplings!!! The skin to meat ratio is perfect and something about the soup is a tiny bit sweeter than other soup dumplings that i've had before which makes it so much better :) the peking duck buns were also great! I also really loved the sesame balls with matcha and red bean inside! And the customer service is amazing. To put it short, i would recommend this restaurant to anyone asking where they can get authentic tasty Shanghainese cuisine in the area for fairly decent prices! read more

I went here with a group of friends because we were craving for some local authentic Shanghainese food. We ordered the pan fried pork dumpling, shrimp soup dumping, pork soup dumpling, and some noodle dishes. The order came out quick and it was super yummy, especially the pan fried pork dumpling; it was very juicy. This spot is definitely a must try if you are around Astoria. Terrible service, long wait for careless service, missing utensils, and I got burnt by my food. We waited 15 minutes for an available table to be "cleared", then after multiple attempts at making it clear we're ready to order, make eye contact, and then finally hold out my hand and ask to place our order. Then we waited while we watched everyone else getting served. We got our noodles after a long wait, and they were the coldest dish we got. We ate them, wondering where our other dishes were. We continued to watch others get their food, often with a couple things on the table at a time. We waited again for almost as long for our pan fried soup dumplings. They arrived, much larger than bite size, and without any spoon. So we poked a couple holes in them and I assumed that without a spoon they were a safe temperature to eat too I popped one whole into my mouth. Big mistake, it was boiling hot and I burned my mouth pretty well. We then saw several other tables get spoons with this order, so they could eat them normally! We then continued to wait while watching another couple, also visibly confused and trying to get someone's attention, wait for 15 minutes to order despite sitting uncomfortably close to the waiter counter. After that wait we got our last dish, the Bacon Shaomai. How the quickest dimsum dish was the last thing to come out an hour after ordering it is beyond me, but it also wasn't very good. Nobody bothered to ask how our meal was, maybe you should try somewhere that cares how it tastes as much as you do. read more

Holy crap. These are by far my favorite soup dumplings in all of New York City (and I've had a lot). There's something sweet about them and they're incredibly juicy. Yumm. Their other menu items are also amazing like their scallion pancake with beef and garlic cucumber salad. I go as often as I can but am curious how their soup dumplings hold up to go. Maybe trying that this weekend ;) read more

Deliciously excellent!!! Staff is friendly, restaurant is cozy and clean. Service was great, staff very attentive and down to earth. The pork soup dumplings are amazing, we ordered crispy chicken delish with the apple cider vinegar and ginger mix for dipping. I ordered sautéed udon noodles with pork and our wIter suggested the beef, it was excellent. Can't wait to try the pork. My hubby ordered the stew beef, it was full of flavor and the beef very tender. Will definitely return and recommend!!!! read more

According to yelp this place is open till 10:00pm but when we got to the restaurant around 4:00pm they told me that restaurant is closed till 4:30. I didn't see any time schedule for that. Ordered take out. We live 3 blocks away and the food was cold. The scallion pancakes with brisket were dreadful. Meat was fatty, tough and inedible. Shrimp soup dumplings were good. Pork dumplings were doughy. The portions were not generous. Food was expensive considering the portions. Very disappointed, would not order again. read more

This place has terrible quality food - it's extremely bland. I ordered the soup dumplings and the meatball noodles. I asked if the meatball noodles had any vegetables and they said a little - it literally came with 4 small meatballs, 3 tiny pieces of bok choy and the most flavorless noodles and soup I've ever tasted. I also found the soup dumplings to be somewhat bland. This place is honestly a pathetic excuse for any cuisine, let alone Chinese cuisine. You can a find a million better restaurants on the same block - no need to try this one. read more

I cannot contain my excitement over this restaurant in Astoria! I ordered on Seamless and the delivery came so fast, within 30 minutes. The delivery man was so friendly and nice. The food is absolutely delicious and unique. Only soup dumplings around in Astoria! I am so happy I no long have to travel to Flushing for authentic soup dumplings. OMG! Make sure when you eat there, you don't have high blood pressure issue cuz let me tell you their food is very very salty! I mean, why make it salty cuz is that means they're hiding something? The soup dumplings ok, but we had better and not salty ones like what they serve in this place. The shanghainese udon noodles was so deep in salt, that we didn't even finished it. The soup dumplings so so but after 3 of them, you want to just drink a gallon of water! Another waste of money and time! read more

This place that hand makes everything. The soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings are my two favorite dishes here. Its so flavorful and the juice is the best. So many people come here and the wait is so long but i understand why. The food is great. Don't let some of these bad reviews fool you. Try it out and you won't regret it. read more

Astoria finally has an amazing soup dumpling restaurant! We had the crab and pork soup dumplings, udon with chicken, and Peking Duck Baos. Man, can't believe how disappointed I am with this place. For people living in the Astoria area, if you want good and authentic Chinese food, you must travel to elmhurst or flushing. When this place opened, I was so freakin excited. Finally, an authentic Chinese restaurant right in Astoria!! I tried 5 different dishes, they were too salty or they put in way too much sauce. The drunken chicken was wayyyy too fatty. I left the restaurant hungry and had to ordered food from another restaurant afterwards. Flushing, we'll see you soon. read more

The lion's head meatballs were extremely tender and soft, coated in a sweet and savory glaze and served with steamed bok choy. The Shanghainese flavor profile is sweeter and less oily than other Chinese food, and I found my dishes to be rich without being overly fatty or heavy. The service here is extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I will likely return soon.
