Decided to try this place because Mr. Wok was packed and this place had a good Yelp rating. Horrible. Immediately upon walking in the place smelled of sulphur, which I learned after receiving a bowl of the egg drop soup was, in fact, coming from the soup. I ordered the chicken lo mein, which is usually a safe bet at a Chinese restaurant. Nope. Worst lo mein I have ever had. It consisted primarily of the doughiest noodles and a super salty sauce that the noodles simply sat in. Very little chicken, even fewer vegetables. The noodles were so doughy and chewy that I only ate a few bites and gave up. Walked out still fairly hungry. Will not be back. read more

I try to really experiment with a place to see if they are consistent before giving a 5 star. Especially a restaurant! This place is consistent. We have ordered delivery food at the min, 5 times? The first time we order, it got to our place within like 10-15 min. We were a bit standoffish, like how is that even possible. Not to mention, 90% of delivery people have to call us for help to get in. Delivery girl was knocking on the door. Didn't even need for me to buzz her in. It was good. We thought we were just hungry. Here we are tonight. 4-5 times later, at min. It's still good. Better tonight. Better every time. We were full. We were quietly giving them props to one another as we chowed down and shared each plate between three. Great delivery place. I have picked up from there once, too. It was good then, too. Ordered delivery, which is rare for me because I prefer to either take out food myself or simply eat in the restaurant. It was my first time trying Bund Wok so I went with some of the suggestions on here which seemed pretty middle of the road, though lamb is one of my favorite proteins and I was very tempted to see how they made it. In any case, Orange Chicken and Cheese Puffs it was as they seemed to be the most ordered items. Delivery estimate was 45-55 mins. from ordering, so I was surprised when the food showed up 35 mins. later. Not a huge difference from the estimate, but very welcome. The aforementioned prompt delivery, I'm sure, is how they managed to deliver some of the freshest tasting Chinese American food I have ever eaten. The cheese puffs seemed like they had literally just come out of the fryer. The orange chicken was crispy, fresh, and as expected in terms of taste. Food in the past was fantastic. Today is was meh. The flat noodles were pieces of noodles with a bland muddled flavor. ($13) The fried rice ($11) had nice veggies but the rice was OLD, dry and chewy, as was the side of rice I purchased. Old rice is pretty hard to forgive at a Chinese restaurant. I gave them back their mustard packets and asked for soy instead and needed more than 2 extra. The cashier argued with me that I would have to pay for any more despite spending $35 for lunch. Place is surprisingly good, and the food is authentic. Will start by saying I am not a soup guy....but I did try the broth for the XXXX. It looked excellent, not like water with veggies and a miniscule amount of meat thrown in. It was excellent. Had the "Pork with Preserved Vegetables". This is one of my go-to items when I go to a Chinese restaurant (This includes China --several provinces-- and all over the US). Most times, the fat is too thick, or the vegetables are too dry, too salty, or just "off". I'm always looking for tender consistent flavor, and edible non chewy vegetables. This dish exceeded every other place I've been where I'd try this. Definitely the best I've had. The duck was excellent. Probably the best 'cold duck' I've had. Also, I live in an apartment nearby that is labyrinthine. I'm struggling to find really good Chinese takeout in the Dallas suburbs... This place is probably the best I've found so far in the Plano area. Food- The crawfish fried rice is a solid A-, but the black pepper shrimp left something to be desired... I'd give it a B-. The "fried rice" that came with the shrimp entree was really just brown rice. If they labeled it as brown rice that would be ok, but I was expecting fried rice and was therefore disappointed. The wonton soup was great, though. I would give it an A+. The wonton soup I've had at other Chinese places around have been super salty, but this one was a great subtle taste with clearly homemade wontons. Ambiance-The restaurant itself is what I would call a nice Chinese takeout restaurant, not somewhere I would want to stay and eat there, but great for takeout. Clean, which is important. Service- Wonderful service, friendly workers. Wonderfully easy to use website that you can order on. Price- Fair for Chinese takeout. Bottom line: I will continue to use this as my Chinese takeout place as it's a thousand times better than Lite Wok or any of the other local places I've tried. I'll continue to try different dishes, though, and won't be getting the black pepper shrimp again. read more

On the website it lists water chestnuts as one of the vegetables in the garlic chicken/pork/beef but when you order it on Uber it is not. I had hoped it was a typo and asked to have them in the special notes but there were none. Also the garlic pork was WAY too sweet, some places have a little sweetness to it but this was like orange chicken kind of sweet. Actually, it was sweeter than the general Tso's and orange chicken which makes it almost inedible. General Tso's was good but not much broccoli added for an extra $1. The rangoons had flavorful filling but not much of it. The wonton was extremely chewy, like chew for 5 minutes to get to the bite with the cream cheese filling. Almost like it had been fried then microwaved. Don't bother with paying extra for "fried rice" it is just white rice with soy sauce. No egg or veggies, it wasn't even fried. Just sort of poured on there. The egg roll was on point though, I will give them that. read more

We walked in to get a Togo plate for our little one we asked for a mini kids bowl on THEIR menu and the lady replied "no, no kids bowl kids bowl closed" what? I asked you guys aren't selling kids bowls and she said no... we said okay thank you and walked away, lady said something in her language & to top it off, if you want to pay with a card you have to spend at least $8. This was a delicious (two) meals for my husband and I! We tried the potstickers, beef flat noodle, chicken fried rice, hunan chicken, and wonton soup. It was all very very good! The soup had a rich broth, the hunan chicken and veggies were fresh and the sauce was mildly spicy but packed with flavor, potstickers were crisp without being overcooked, and beef flat noodles had a great flavor for both the beef and noodle. Rice was a little bit dry, but I reheated it the following day, so that could explain it. They delivered quickly and everything was still hot. Will definitely get this again. read more

Went back here again recently after 3 years because my favorite place Wok-n-Grill did not survive COVID. This place is still disappointment and now I think I know why. I received a message from the restaurant about my previous review mentioning that the cook (at the time) was a former Chinese army cook and knows how to cook real Chinese food. So maybe it is real Chinese food if you're cooking for an army. Which makes sense because the food definitely tasted like it was cooked for 1000 and not 1. In general the Chinese food restaurants in this area are not good. If I want Asian food I've been getting it from one of the many good Thai places in the area. read more

Great place for authentic Chinese food. I get burnt out by Americanized dishes like orange chicken and chicken and broccoli. I always get the mapo tofu and walnut shrimp. Also they're lunch specials during the week days rock. I get to try all their menu items I normally don't have a chance to try. I have a thing for dry tofu. My experience with this restaurant is hit or miss. Most of the time when I come here, I leave with plenty of left over food. I ordered 2 entrees tonight and my food was brought out on small plates. Plates that I've NEVER been served on when I've eaten here. Basically, I was given almost less than half of what I normally get. Also, every now and then the veggies are cold, when they should be hot. They bring out food too fast. When dining in, you don't even have to wait 10 minutes and your food is already being brought out. Also, I ordered a chicken egg roll and it was not the egg roll I normally receive from here. The chicken egg rolls are normally larger. I got a spring roll with tiny pieces of chicken inside. There are a number of things I could go on about, but why bother? They are more focused on what the inside of their restaurant looks like over quality food and service. I prefer consistency. I don't know if the young lady is the owner of the restaurant, but she has some sort of a problem with me. I don't know what it is. Either way, my business is not appreciated there and tonight was it for me. I was just telling my mom about them the other night and she loved the shrimp fried rice. Not a good practice to serve smaller portions if you don't like someone. You treat your customers equally. I guarantee I would have gotten $22 worth of food had I ordered over the phone and she didn't see me or know who I was. Pretty shady. I stopped by this nice and tucked away Chinese restaurant. It was nice on the inside, has 2- 50 in flats on the wall for you to watch while you eat. There is also music for you to enjoy, that's not too loud. I had the marinated grilled shrimp, sea scallops, salmon cheese roll(complimentary), brown rice, and sea salt green tea. I'm a bit lactose tolerant, so couldn't finish all of it, but it was good. Wish they had made it with Almond Milk, but they did have coconut milk, but I'm don't care for coconut. The food was hot and fresh when it arrived. I will return for more eats. It was relaxing, and I actually hung around for about an hour after I ate, and watched various YouTube stuff on my cell, and some political news on CNN. read more

The place is clean and the staff are friendly. They mainly serve authentic home style Shanghainese food such as braised pork with curd (百叶结红烧肉), braised minced eel (响油鳝丝), dry fried fish (乾煎小黃魚), and fresh & salted pork with bamboo shoot soup (腌篤鮮). One of my favorite dish is braised jumbo meat ball with vegetable (砂锅獅子頭). I'm really impressed by the freshness of the food. I can say that this dish is even better than what I had in Shanghai. read more
