We ordered soup and I did find it excessive that you charge for the noodles, but I understand some people don't want them. However, I do expect a full bag. We received about 1/3 of a bag with 12 noodles in it. Yes, I counted. That came to 8 1/2 cents per noodle. Ridiculous! Next time we'll get oyster crackers which are $1.50 for 9 oz. vs $1.00 for 12 crackers. read more

Just picked my order of kung pao chicken and I'm so disappointed. Canton express has always been great in the past years. Today the chicken was not good quality at all and the vegetables consisted of a few green peppers and water chestnuts. What was disappointing is that they used a bag of frozen peas and carrots. Peas in Kung Pao Chicken?? Don't use such shortcuts! I'd rather pay a little extra for good quality traditional vegetables. Hope this is not a new thing because I won't be back if it is. read more

I've been looking for good Chinese food since I've moved here in 2016 & I've finally found it. The Ambiance is cool. The service was great. The menu doesnt list prices which can be tricky. we ordered a small wonton soup, a small egg drop soup,shrimp fried rice and a orange chicken which came with fried rice. For a quick and fulfilling plate of fried rice to help combat my craving, this did its job! Located right off of Plano Pkwy and Beltline, it's tucked in a shopping center that's not hard to find at all. I placed my order on the Uber eats app and opted for pickup since it saved me $8. The food was ready in less than 15 mins and was fresh. When I arrived there were no other patrons there but the way it was set up looked to be more convenient for takeout anyway. There was one corner with what appeared to be DJ equipment but I can't confirm. I thought it was cutely decorated with sports Jerseys. Food: for a mom and pops type kitchen, the rice definitely served its purpose. They skimped me a little on the meat (combo fried rice) so I would say that could be improved a little. The flavors were nice and again the rice was fresh. I ordered a veggie spring roll which was very garlicky (if that's a word). My first bite was great but after a while the garlic just overpowered my taste buds so I didn't finish it. Overall..:for a quick meal I'd definitely give it 4 stars. This place has character. Rather small and very informal yet its decorations are its own. They have a variety of choices and a lot of them have "lunch specials". I order the flat noodles, which was sadly not one of them. It tasted good. The one big complaint as others have pointed out is that they lack price list. My bill ended up more than what I planned on spending that day. read more

Well this used to be a an awesome place one of my favorites. However, don't bother! The place is a dump!!!! Dirty personal crap everywhere filthy filthy filthy and no menu with prices you have to bring your phone in, the place is less than 800 sq feet. The owners need to suck it up, clean it up and print some menus with prices you cheap skates. Based on how dirty the main dining room is I will not be eating here ever again! I hope the next place that opens has better sense, must be new young owners. Looks like my teenage childs bedroom!!Service-10,ambiance -100, and service well there is none! read more

I ordered takeout . The wait for the food was minimal. This place seems to be a small family owned establishment, so the lounging area is also a mini office space. The service was okay- no complaints. I placed my order and was give a ETA - which was spot on. Food- I order the fried dumplings and curry combo rice. The dumplings were okay nothing special - just fried dumplings. The rice was cooked to perfection, as it wasn't sticky and mushy. The curry flavor was definitely present, this dish would have earn the restaurant a 5 if the veggies and meat was a tan bite savory to pair with the curry. Maybe bigger shrimps, and chicken pieces??? Amazing! Great food, great prices, fast and friendly service. I got the beef chop suey with steamed rice, my boyfriend got the general tso's chicken with fried rice, and we shared wontons. Great service! The Rice noodles with chicken Cantonese style is outstanding! The portions are huge and it's so fresh and delicious. I recommend chili oil on the side for a little extra spice. I did try the shrimp version of this dish too- a lot of noodles but only five shrimp so the chicken is the better more filling option. read more

Ordered Szechuan chicken, general, Tso, chicken, chicken, and cashew. Two orders of fried rice on a regular rice and potstickers fried rice was nothing more than flavored white rice pretty little additional seasonings no egg at all. The similarity between the cashew chicken and Szechuan chicken with just the spice difference.having had this order as a to go the chicken was not as crisp but that's to be expected based on delivery. Having tasted Chinese food across the western US and other states, this is mid-level food at best. read more

Stopped in one evening after a Trader Joe's fun. Right around the corner. Giant variety of menu options! The young lady at the counter (possibly the owner) very friendly and super helpful. I asked her about a combination of shrimp, chicken and pork a friend had ordered for me before. She smiled and said "happy rice" lol. That combination sure did make me happy! By far the best Chinese food, and wonderful owners! I love coming here for lunch, I would either eat there or order to go! Price is reasonable for lunch! Had lunch with an old friend today; we'd been to this place a few times over the years, and it had provided decent, basic Americanized Chinese food. Today, I had the shredded pork with garlic sauce lunch special, which featured the main dish, soup (hot and sour in my case) and a spring roll, which was a very basic fried piece with not much more than cabbage inside, although it was decently tasty. The soup fared better, with good flavor and nice "viscosity" for lack of a better term. A dash of soy made it a nice starter. The main course, unfortunately, needed some help in the flavor department. It did feature relatively crisp veggies and a good amount of meat in a substantial sauce, but it just didn't have that flavor that I would expect. A little soy sauce helped, but I finally ended up reaching for the salt shaker. I ate half and took the rest with me. The best news, though, was the price - under seven bucks if you drink water like I did. That's enough to make me round up to three stars. Maybe you'll have better luck than me, although that soup definitely proves that they can make some good stuff. read more

I have been eating here for over 10 years and when I moved to east Plano I continue to drive over because I have not been able to find any Chinese food as good as theirs!! My favorite dishes are Cantonese combination rice noodle, curry chicken( which they can adjust the spice level for me), and the egg drop soup is the best. She moved to Texas in 2009 with her husband and 2 kids and had an aspiration to own a family style restaurant business in the heart of Plano. An opportunity finally came up to purchase her "sister's" restaurant (Canton Express) where she had worked as a server/front end lead assistant. Anna is a tireless owner operator who loves what she does and takes immense pride and ownership in the quality of the food and service that comes out of her establishment.
