Tried all kinds of kababs..Been here many times..always satisfied..kadai chicken and kababs are the best you can find in devon.

Eating on Devon is like eating at a festival, each vendor has their specialty. So, stick with what they do best and skip the rest. This applies to Bundoo Khan. The best thing I ordered and the only reason I would return was their dal. It was a yellow lentil soup with curry leaves, ginger shred and the most delicious balance of spices and heat. I could it eat every day forever. Their rice and naan was delicious as well. The paratha was deep fried and oily. Their ground beef kabob was very, very heavily seasoned with cumin and fenugreek and was strongly spicy. It tasted like sojouk or basturma, very strong cured meat from the Middle East. You could not taste the meat. The ground chicken kabob was better. They offer cucumber slices and onion with the meal, but don't have salad. This is a good place for a meaty meal. At first the service was awkward and slow. Later more staff arrived and it was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm, contemporary and clean which we enjoyed. read more

If you really like meat a lot then you should eat here. Me and my parents and grandparents and brother ordered two meat platters which had a bunch of different kinds of meats. It had lamb, chicken and steak. We also had the choice of spicy or mild flavors. We ordered spicy. I thought the chicken was pretty spicy but in a good way but it did burn my mouth. Amazing food! Juicy and spicy meat reminds of Pakistan of the way they make their food. A suggestion to try is the chicken tikka breast piece with some of the white sauce. First of all, I would like to say this is definitely not my first time here. I have had a love/hate relationship with this place in the past but this time it takes the cake. I had the absolute worst experience at Bundu Khan last night and it is sad to say so. I went with my family to have a good time and was really looking forward some amazing grilled kabobs. The time was around 9pm. To start off, the service was really slow which I understand because at that time they were busy, but not super duper busy. Our server didnt seem to care when we called on him a few times, he just seemed to walk away. There was one more girl kind of short with a high ponytail walking around too and needless to say, she was beyond rude to every question we seemed to aksed. She even rolled her eyes when in the end I asked her politely to bring food containers for the karhai. We ordered a variety of dishes, I would say around 4 of the beef kababs and 1 chicken malai boti, smoked karhai, garlic naans and fried parhatas. For the appetizer, I ordered their wings which are smaller than your thumb and the ones I picked up to eat were were bloody and un-done inside. Besides the seekh kabab, everything else pretty much sucked. It was bland and tasteless. We had to order lots of jalapeno, lemon and raita to make it taste somewhat better. The garlic naan wasnt soft or buttery at all, it was just chopped garlic thrown on a piece of bland bread. I really wanted biryani too but at that point I thought its not even worth it, so far the food has been unacceptable. This wasnt even the worst part!! The manager came around and asked us if liked the food and if we were enjoying it or not, to which my mom replied besides the one seekh kabab everything else doesnt taste too good. He said OK and walked away!!! No apologies, no nothing!!! He was somewhat of a big guy with gray hair. How can you not even have the decency to say sorry or ask to replace your food with a better one. Also, the quantity for the price you pay is a hefty joke! It is so sad that they dont care about their business. I would definitely not be recommending this place to others!! You need to be more humble and care about every single one of your customers! So I've had the pleasure of going back to Bundoo Khan quite a few times recently with friends and family coming and going for the holidays. I never thought twice about where to take them and I don't regret my decision one bit. I've said it before and I'll say it again, best place to eat on Devon hands down no questions asked..and my guests agree 100%..Food is at this place is ON POINT. Not sure why this place has good reviews. When we tried ordering things off their menu, they kept telling us that they no longer serve that dish. I went to the place specifically to get a burger and found out they no longer make burgers. So I got chicken tenders instead and kabobs and both were not good. Also don't get how one order of chicken tenders, one paratha, and one kabob came out to $30. definitely don't waste your time or money at this place. read more

Things I liked about this place: The food was great, the ambiance is better than most restaurants on Devon, the bathroom is actually clean (well cleaner than most places in Devon). The ONLY reason I'm docking stars for this place is because of the service. Our waitress was rude, she barely came around to check on us and our food took forever to make it out, other people who got there after us got their food first, when we asked how much longer it would be, the waitress snapped at us instead of apologizing for the wait. Also they kept messing up or orders, we ordered 1 mango lassi, they brought out 2, we never ordered pop, they brought out Coke. Also, when our food arrived, it didn't all come out at once, that's not much of an issue at American restaurants but when the food is served family style, it needs to come out at once, I can't eat half the stuff if I don't have naan. We asked for extra chutney and it came out after we were done eating. Oh and my mango lassi came out after the food, drinks should always come out first. What bugs me is they charged us automatic gratuity, I'm sorry but that service was NOT deserving of a tip. Best Bihari Kabab in CHICAGO. (PERIOD) Customer Service is amazing. The food is delicious and FRESH. This place is very popular so make sure you either have reservations or willing to wait (WORTH THE WAIT). Another thing which they have perfected in the last 12 months is the Chicken Tikka. I drive 35 miles once or twice a week just to eat them. Just Phenomenal. The Management is super friendly and will go out of the way to provide you the best service possible. read more

Disappointed that bundoo khan has was reserved on Sunday because of that they werent serving anyone. I found that out when i got there. Will appreciate if i can know that in advance. Came here our first full day in Chicago, we thought it was affiliated with the restaurant in Houston with the same name but it's not. Ordered the chicken tikka and seekh roll kabob. First of all, the service is REALLY REALLY SLOW. Like wait 40 minutes for your food slow. My 18 month old baby couldn't handle this so sufficed to say, we ate extremely quickly but then decided to get an order of the chicken roll kabob to go and that took another 30 minutes. After 'trying' to eat here on three separate visits to devon & being told it's over an hr wait time, last night we finally waited outside for an hr before getting a table. Ordered two different types of karahis, their combo platter, daal & chops. Anyone who has ever cooked/grilled or wants fresh off the grill, knows that it'll be at least 30ish mins, so that was acceptable. However, when we got the food, seems our bbq items were probably cooked before the karahis because only the karahis were hot & rest of all the food was luke warm. Everyone in our party had been starving at this point, so we just ate what was served. Out of the whole order, only the smoked karahi had decent flavor. The bbq portions seemed smaller than the what you're being charged for, karahis were ok. Biggest qualm was the service. None of the servers checked back, even once. We had to stop & wait for someone passing by & ask them to for say, more water, more bread which they forgot twice, so one of us got up & walked over to the counter telling we've been waiting for 15 mins with food on our plates & no bread! Parathas were actually puris instead, no one in our party was expecting that nor ate it much. The owner/host seemed friendly, however kept apologizing for the delays to almost everyone, but its a restaurant, we're here to eat, that's the one thing people are there to do. Overall, a very underwhelming experience for dine-in. Nothing we ordered was worth the 90 min wait time. 'IF' we decide to try again, we'll definitely go the carry-out route (& update this once we do), we don't have this as a dine-in option on our list of places at all & don't recommend it to anyone either. read more

I love this place! I've ordered a couple of times to go, and even took a friend to dine in. The wait staff was nice and friendly. The kebobs are so delicious and perfectly seasoned. The only reason that I did not give them 5 stars is because of this last order. I placed a simple order for Samosas (which were really delicious the last time) and I get home only to my surprise to open the box and find KETCHUP!
