Their chargha is the best. We tried chicken Karahi and chicken boti as well which was great. Would highly recommend it.

Making it's way out from the kitchen!

Let the picture explain itself (cockroach?). Also, filthy walls... Have they ever been cleaned? What does this tell you about the kitchen? Not to mention the lack of customer regard and service. Probably not in Lahore, Pakistan would they not disregard making guest feel welcomed. This was totally off here. Odd and suspicious personalities, they seemed to be thinking of something that was consuming their mind... Perhaps the kitchen or some other issue/ concern? They had no regard to check up on all tables and failed to attempt to be professional. It's not only about good tasting food when the environment where it's cooked and served is not up to par... Zombie like service is the vibe. If this is what one looks for in an establishment than dark dirty alleys with odd faces may suit your desires. Many reviewers must really love sitting with their buddies in this environment but if they truly knew about a quality establishment than they wouldn't go to Lahore Restaurant unless major changes or new ownership is situated. When a business doesn't "truly" care for customers than you get these results. Fail.

The food was good, except they take FOREVER to bring you your food. I suggest if you know what you want and they are slightly busy, call ahead so you don't have to sit there for 40 minutes. They have one waiter for the entire restaurant, which seems more and more typical as I explore my Devon options. Also, they have an awkward Office corner in the dining area. You can enjoy watching the boss do his paperwork while you eat. The table we were seated at was dirty, I don't blame the waiter, the poor guy had to take care of 3-4 tables by himself. We got the chicken charga, goat biryani, butter chicken, and platter. Chicken charga is a Pakistani dish so I've never had it before... it was good though! The platter was good too, it comes with kebob, chicken, and couple other stuff! However, I thought it was small for a platter (compared to Naan on Devon's platter which has 2x more food). The goat biryani and butter chicken should be flushed down the toilet. Both were below average. Maybe I'm just so used to hydrabadi/Indian biryani that I'm not use to this Pakistani food. Overall, yeah I'd come back to this place if my friends wanted to. But if it was up to me, I'd rather go to Naan on Devon or Ghareeb Nawaz. Both of which I think taste better then Lahore Grill.

Hadi Gosht (Lamb Curry cooked in Earthenware Pot)
    Alan C.

I have eaten there only once, at 3 am in the morning, to satisfy my sudden craving for lamb curry. I came here and I was in heaven. Hadi Gosht was wonderful (check out the picture above, $8), not too spicy hot (although I could totally take it), portion was generous, and the owner was friendly. Too bad naan ($1) or chapatis are not included and has to be ordered separately. Restroom, while tolerable, could use some fumigation. Otherwise, this restaurant is great! I will update my review and hopefully take more pictures as I go back there to try other dishes. UPDATE: I went there for a second time with friends. OMG. Chicken Tawa ($7) is mouthwatering, juicy, spicy, and tender, not saucy but not dry either; Lahori Daal ($5?), beautifully blended, delicious; Chicken Chagri ($7) is KFC, Karachi Fried Chicken, marinated well and flavorful; Goat Biryani ($7?) is also very good, although I had better ones elsewhere. Raised my rating to 5 Stars.

This is the BEST delivery out there!!!!! Everything is outstanding, homecooked, and healthy!!!!!The food gets better every time I order delivery every time. Delivery is expensive, but worth it! I have ordered there now 3 times, always late night and the food is stellar. The man who delivers my food is really nice. Next time ordering chicken chargha. The quality is super fresh!!!!! I posted pics ..... Paratha, chicken boti, mixed veggies, rice, lettuce-onions-lime. Other items I have had: Lahori Dal - great and mango lassi refreshing!!!!! Review regarding how the place looks.... I do not care! Often whole in the places have the best food. Every place needs to start somewhere. I only hope as they continue to grew larger as a restaurant and expand, which I am sure they will cause the food is just way to good for this not to happen, that their food still stays this AMAZING!!! To the yelper that said, this is not true Indian/Pakinstani......when were u in India or Pakistan or India???? Where did you visit???? I was in Keerla, Hyderabad, Goa, and a Mumbia. You may like Delh Darbar better the food was disgusting!!!!!! I order almost the same items as Lahore. The dal was so bad I had to throw it out. The paratha had a funny taste like it was old. The foods tasted like it had been sitting on a buffet since morning or for more than a day.

There was a line but fortunately the wait wasn't long and I saw a table open up just after I ordered. Food arrived quickly. I got the mango snowcloud and it was huge! It's definitely around a 2 or 3 people's serving size. Lushious cubes of ripe mangos sprinkled with mango popping boba surrounded the mountain of soft, pillowy, creamy, mango milk ice, which was topped with mango ice cream, further drizzled with mango sauce. It was decadent and refreshing, so tasty yet not overwhelmingly sweet. The flavors were so good!!! Highly recommend this and would be back to try other items on their menu.

We walked into a casual and modern space that works well for stopping by after a meal or meeting up with friends for something sweet. The interior is bright and clean, with a relaxed energy that makes it easy to settle in for a dessert without feeling rushed. The menu has a wide range of options, from shaved ice and mango sago to cakes and other fruit desserts, making it easy to find something depending on your mood. The mango mille crepe cake is one of the highlights and a great representation of what the shop does well. We ordered a slice and found the cake made with thin layers of crepe stacked together with cream and fresh mango, creating a texture that feels light while still being satisfying. The layers are soft and delicate, and the mango adds a bright fruitiness that keeps the dessert from feeling overly heavy or too sweet. The balance between the creamy layers and the fresh mango flavor made it feel more refreshing than a traditional cake, especially with the mango being ripe and fragrant. It was also one of the better choices for sharing, as the slice was generous enough to pass around the table. Beyond the mille crepe cake, the menu has plenty of variety with options like mango shaved ice, mango sticky rice, and fruit-based drinks. We appreciated that the desserts are presented carefully, making the experience feel more like a sit-down dessert stop rather than just grabbing something quick. The shaved ice was light and fluffy, with a good amount of mango and toppings that added texture without overwhelming the base. The fruit-based drinks were also refreshing and served as a nice palate cleanser between the richer desserts. The shop can get busy, especially after dinner hours, but the line usually moves along at a steady pace. The staff handled the flow efficiently, and the turnover was fast enough that even with a small wait, we were seated quickly. The seating area is comfortable, and the energy of the room stays lively without becoming too loud. Mango Mango Dessert is a solid Chinatown dessert destination if you are looking for fruit-forward sweets with a lighter, refreshing style. The mango mille crepe cake is a must-try for first visits and one of the items that best captures the appeal of the menu, offering a dessert that feels both visually appealing and satisfying to eat.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.

I immediately call, no answer, call again, no answer. I decide to DM their instagram page and guess what??? THEY HAD THE CUPS!!! Here I was thinking $150 in cups were gone. But they had them!!!
