Most people will go the most popular area in…read moreSpringdale, but there's a separate area known as Kolob Canyons which is located in a different area of the park about an hour's drive away. Kolob Canyons is a very pretty area, but less developed than Zion Canyon. Anyway, Zion has steep and sheer cliffs that leave you breathless. It also has a river and swampland, as well as emerald pools and waterfalls. It is so varied in its landscape, I really can't compare it to anything else. I hiked a whole bunch here: Angel's Landing, Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, Riverside Walk, Canyon Overlook, even a bit of the Narrows. I want to do a through hike of the Narrows next time - I didn't have enough time in my schedule this time unfortunately. I saw more wildlife than expected too. I think a lot of the animals are habituated to humans, and aren't frightened at all. I also love how well run the shuttle system is. The bus drivers will radio to each other if there's a long line at any stop, and they will send an empty bus there to help avoid extended waits. It's so thoughtful. I stayed in the Zion Lodge, but I'm sure that the gateway town of Springdale has a similarly efficiently run shuttle system as well.

We visited several areas of the park, including the Pa'rus Trail, and loved how accessible it was. Since we visited during warmer weather, we appreciated being able to enjoy the park without tackling strenuous hikes. The shuttle system made getting around easy. They have a great visitors center as well. One of my favorite parts was simply slowing down and taking in the beauty of the landscape. Photos don't do this place justice. Whether you're hiking, sightseeing, or just enjoying the views, Zion is a place everyone should experience at least once.

Our guide was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and considered our areas of interest. My husband is a photographer and my son likes to hike. Our guide managed to find the right blend of activities for all of us. He also made sure we had plenty of water and snacks and took us to amazing lunch places (which were included in the price). We are certain that we would not have been able to get to the places we wanted to see in such an efficient way without the expertise of the tour. There are a lot of people visiting the national parks this year as a way to have a vacation while still controlling your interaction with others. These tours achieved that goal for us and made it an amazing experience. We highly recommend this tour group and will use them again.

The only advice I will give is do not do the package deal that includes The Inn at St. George. Look for another hotel in St. George with better reviews or better yet, if you take your own car stay the night in a town that is close to the place that you will be hiking. She presented several menu options for the evening. We picked one and were also able to swap out a side to cater to the personal preferences of a few of our party members. The catering team arrived early to deliver the dinner and advised on how to keep it safely warm until we were ready to eat. The dinner itself was DELICIOUS. We had the steak with chimichurri sauce, bread with herbed butter, brussel sprouts, and seasonal salad. The ingredients were fresh and felt special--things we wouldn't think of cooking at home. We loved the gooseberries and pomegranate seeds in the salad. Multiple members of our party commented on how they could eat the herbed butter on its own. I highly recommend Zion Desert to Table!

We live close to the park and have hiked most of the trails. But this one is a hidden treasure that even the Park Manager didn't know about. Hat's off to Jim Martinson (the owner/guide) for: his love of nature, spirit of adventure, and finding & sharing this trail. It's under 3 miles round trip and only a 500' elevation gain, but spectacular views. And some stair-like climbs that are an adrenaline rush! No ropes, but some definite exposure in one spot. The guides; Jim, Martha and Joel, were fantastic! They were very organized, super helpful & friendly and talked about the trail, the geology and life in general. And they very much stressed safety. It was a lot of fun and the quickest 3 hours & best money spent in a long time. Will watch their website, can't wait for another trip.

WARNING: Do Not Be Misled - Avoid Zion View Camping in Hildale, Utah at All Costs…read more I feel obligated to share this review to protect other travelers from making the same regrettable mistake I did. Zion View Camping is a dangerously misrepresented and poorly managed location that should be avoided by anyone who values safety, cleanliness, and basic decency. #1 - Misleading Name Despite the name, this site is not near Zion National Park. It is a full hour away by car. This alone is deeply misleading and deceptive advertising. #2 - Dangerous Access Road The road leading to the campground is an unmaintained sand and dirt track. Worse still, it requires crossing a river - something most standard vehicles and travelers are unprepared for. It's unsafe and completely unacceptable. #3 - No On-Site Staff or Guidance There was no one at the location to greet us or assist with check-in. We received vague instructions via text and found several other confused guests wandering the grounds, unsure of where to go or what to do. #4 - Neglected Grounds and Unhygienic Conditions The entire area appears abandoned and unkept. A large, broken-down RV sits like a haunted monument in the middle of the grounds - eerie, depressing, and a clear indication of neglect. We stayed in a "wagon" where the bedding was dirty and the floor was filthy. #5 - Nothing Worked The lights, the heater, the barbecue - all of it was broken, rusted, or too old to be functional. Everything felt like a thrift store discard, and nothing was clean or safe to use. #6 - Serious Fire and Carbon Monoxide Hazards The outdated propane heaters pose a severe fire risk, especially with high winds and embers flying from nearby fires. There are no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors. This is an extremely dangerous situation. Guests are literally gambling with their lives. #7 - No Heat, No Help, and No Safety After trying multiple heaters that failed to work, a young, untrained staff member finally showed up but was also unable to fix the issue. We were freezing cold, exhausted, and entirely disillusioned with the integrity of the operation. We packed up and booked a hotel in St. George that same night. We feared for our safety. #8 - Traumatizing Shower Conditions After hiking all day, we were desperate for a hot shower. What we found was horrifying: shared facilities that were dirty, decrepit, and traumatic. The towels provided were old, stained, and smelled terrible. I honestly believe a prison shower would have been a step up. #9 - Safety Hazards at Every Turn Even the most basic safety elements are neglected. The solar lights (cheap Home Depot models) installed to illuminate the steps do not function. Walking around in the dark was dangerous and yet another sign of the owner's disregard for guest safety. #10 - A Deceptive, Unsafe, and Disturbing Location This is not a tranquil camping experience. It is located in a rundown area beside a goat pen, where the noise and odor are constant. The surrounding neighborhood is deeply unsettling, rumored to be home to polygamous sects long in conflict with the law. The overall vibe is not just uncomfortable - it's unsafe. To make matters worse, the owner, Charles, offered me a refund on the condition that I would not post a negative review. That tells you everything you need to know about his character and the dishonesty behind this business. Conclusion: Zion View Camping is a dangerous, filthy, and misleading scam. It is not worth your money - and certainly not worth risking your life over. There are far better, safer, and more honest accommodations much closer to Zion National Park. Save yourself the regret, discomfort, and danger. Avoid this scam!

There are also many yurt/tents with fire pit and chair set ups. An onsite petting zoo, kayaking, and arc opportunities round out a cool and fun experience in a relaxed and atmosphere. There are four onsite toilets and two shower facilities. Staff were helpful and efficient. Seriously recommended!!!
