Located in Hurricane, UT about 30mins away from Zion National Park. There's plenty of free parking right outside of the restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. Pricing was about it the same back home in Hawaii. I really enjoyed the crispness of the chimichanga and the flavor was good too. I had mine with the white sauce which is mild in heat and paired nicely. My son let me take a bite of his chicken burrito fajita and that was yummy too. The chicken was nicely flavored and moist. I would definitely recommend getting the horchata to top it all off. Every table gets a complimentary chips and salsa. read more

Outside of Zion there are several crowded trendy restaurants to choose from...if long lines, yoga-wearing soccer moms, college fraternities and screaming kids are your thing. Since we were staying in Apple Valley 45 minutes away from the maddening crowd, we had the quiet but growing communities of Hurricane, and La Verkin to dine around. I ate here for the first time for a to-go lunch and was very satisfied with their Wednesday Flag enchilada special. This entrée was served with tri-sauce of green white and red. Typically, I am an red sauce kinda enchilada girl, but Lupitas has me begging for that green sauce. The inside was fully filled with moist shredded pork, that cut so nicely with just my fork. My 2 yr old LOOOOOVED the beans so much, as did I. I spoke to 3 different women and all were professional and kind. Inside was music playing and kid friendly menus with quarter toy machines to peak their interests immediately. Outside they have a beautiful bench with a cherry blossom tree, great for a snap shot with loved ones. I got wet burrito with carne asada. Inside are only melted cheese and carne asada, nothing else , i didn't like it. In top is the green sauce with sour cream. Side of beans and rice. I ended up eating just the carne asada and the rice. The inside was so plain so i just take out the carne asada. I think i order the wrong one. We had a good time here, food was ok. Not the greatest! At the end, we accidentally left my husband Birthday envelope on the table. We left, then I called. They said, "yes the envelope, it's here we will hold it for you". We go back, "No it's not here", wow! The manager said "the gift card" which I never mentioned there was a gift card. We really just needed something to eat to round out our day, and we didn't want to get back in the trucks and tow the trailers around to go very far. We walked in to the Rooster Run Cafe across from our motel, and we put our name on the waiting list. The person at the place said, "We could seat your group right now, but who knows if that will change by the time you get here." Well, it did change, but the wait wasn't that bad, and it was well worth it! One of their specialties is empanadas. I was really very tempted to get some; someone in our group did, and they were indeed tasty. They have daily specials, and the day we were there the special was carnitas. Carnitas can be tolerable if not quite done right, but if they are done right, they really are great. These were done right. Oh it was so good. Served with beans and rice and tortillas. If I was in the neighborhood, I'd go there again for SURE. Actually several times so I could get more empanadas and get more carnitas and even try some of the other tasty treats. They treated us well. The staff was friendly, polite, and attentive even though the place was pretty busy. The dining area was a bit crowded, but we could get beyond that because the food was really good. I almost want to give this place five stars, but that's a very rare thing for me to do. Maybe if the dining area weren't so loud, but I'd give it four and a half... but Yelp won't let me. Go check them out. You'll have a good meal. read more

I always feel bad giving poor reviews because I know how hard people work and how hard it is to make a living as a restraunt owner. My husband and I just visited the restaurant twice last week while visiting the Hurricane area from San Diego! We were seated promptly both nights and ordered a couple of Pacifico's with frosty mugs!!! Excellent! We tried the mini tacos (6) with carne asada, chicken and carnitas! Yummy! Also tried 1 chicken empanada and 1 beef empanada. Delightful! The next night we repeated the beers and shared some queso & chips and a chicken salad! Service was excellent on both nights but Susanna did a super job for us. My only recommendation is to lower the music volume a little and I think it would be perfect!
