It's always nice to have poolside food and drink service while chillin by the pool. Bartender was very nice offered suggested menu items. Whatever you do, don't get the smoked chicken tacos. NO FLAVOR. The fruit as a side was plentiful and tasty. They literally want you to drink all day by the pool so they can serve you disgusting food. But the music and pool vibes were great. This is our first full day at the Omni Hotel. We lunch at pool bar today. Yelp asked me if they had plastic free packaging or reusable utensils. I don't know who cares about that stuff. I care about the food and it was great. I had the fish tacos with fries as a side. The tacos were excellent. I'm pretty picky about my fries but they were hot and crispy. My wife had a mango salad and loved it. We didn't expect much from a pool bar. What a pleasant surprise! It's going to be a great week. read more

We came to the Omni Hotel for a daycation and the Buoy Bar is a restaurant on the premises. We dined there for lunch. The theme is Caribbean so many of the dishes were Caribbean inspired. We sat on the patio. The service was quick and attentive. The food was good but nothing stood out. We only dined there because there were no other options. What a great bar inside the Omni Hotel at Hilton Head Island. Seating is outside near the pool and the drinks are surprisingly delicious for a poolside bar! I always expect poolside bar drinks to be weak and watered down, but all of mine were delicious and pretty! Another wonderful thing about this bar is that they have a server come around the pool to bring you drinks while you lounge or swim! And they charge it to your room so you don't have to fumble with payment. Highly recommend! read more

It's super casual there, so you can walk up wearing your swimsuit and it's totally fine. Faster service if you just order at the bar. You can order both food and drinks at the bar. It's pretty loud and crowded there in the afternoons, so expect some wait to get your drinks and food. read more

I'll be honest - this place exceeded my expectations. We were guests at this resort (the Omni), and this restaurant is poolside. Honestly, we did not necessarily intend to eat here, but our 5-year-old made a friend at the pool, and our two families decided for convenience and to entertain the kids to all grab lunch together at the poolside bar and restaurant. Service was excellent - our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. I ordered the coconut shrimp, my husband had the tuna poke, and my son enjoyed a kid's hot dog and fries. Everything was excellent. The shrimp was crisp and fresh, and the sweet chili sauce was incredible. The tuna also was fresh and came in a generous portion loaded with avocado. The only potential drawback was the cost. I have trouble dropping $65 for a lunch I can eat in my bathing suit. But at least it was tasty, and we had a great time! read more

This a good spot to take a break from the heat, beach or pool. The resort pool area is not open to the general public. The restrooms are shared with the pool. We ate at the Buoy Bar a few times during our stay at the Omni Resort and it was consistently good. The waitstaff was wonderful as was the bartender. We had: - Grilled Shrimp Salad - very good - Chicken Tenders - tasty - Maple Braised Pork Sandwich - very good - Assorted Cocktails - tasty but light on the alcohol and heavy on the ice My one gripe with this place is that the portions are small and the prices are high for the surrounding areas. read more

We have a vacation home and our beach access is next to the Omni, so we go to the Buoy Bar A LOT. When it's an adult trip, especially, we are there every day for drinks and a snack or lunch. When it's a family trip, we still go frequently. Try the pina colada with a run floater, yum. For food, the guac and queso are our favorites (these are two different menu items). We absolutely love the short rib and caramelized onion tacos, the watermelon salad, the fries...just everything, it's all good. Courtney always serves us and he's great. The Buoy Bar is much better than your typical hotel pool bar. read more

The Buoy Bar is a great place to grab lunch while staying at the Omni! They also have wonderful mixed drinks. The passion colada and mango daiquiri were my favorites of the trip. If you don't want to go up to the bar, servers walk around the pool taking orders and delivering food. The drinks and food are a bit pricey but they are good and a nice way to treat yourself on vacation. Unfortunately the jackfruit tacos weren't being served yet. Eating primarily vegetarian, I was super excited for those because it's something different from the usual restaurant food I can eat but without those it left salads and chips/salsa/guac for my options. I would like to see some more veggie options but everyone I was with who got sandwiches and burgers loved them! read more

Excellent drinks and good food. Gone here a few times throughout my stay at the Omni and enjoyed my experience each time. Let me start by saying the BEST drink I had this weekend was called "The Perfect Painkiller". The friendly staffed mixed together a fantastic drink that all poolside drinkers should try. The Dark N Stormy was a solid drink as well, and the Jerk Chicken Sandwich I had with it was great for spice lovers. The Bouy Burger was also good, but nothing special; if you're looking for a burger at the pool, this will do nicely. The Buffalo wings are perfectly crisp, I only wish they were spicier. The selection of draft beers are great and I truly enjoyed the Stone IPA. I will definitely continue coming here throughout my stay at Omni read more

We ate at this poolside bar a few times during our vacation at the hotel. The food was so-so (standard pool bar type fare). The drinks, however, were reasonably priced and we LOVED the key lime colada. They also had a nice selection of nonalcoholic beverages for the children. read more

For a hotel bar, the prices are pretty reasonable. Food is satisfying, not life changing but that's not what I expect at a pool side bar either. The big winner for this bar is the staff. Chili is excellent. Not too spicy and comes with nice cruncy bread. Burgers are huge and staff is excellent.
