This place is wonderful. The food is fresh and flavorful. I had the ramen bowl with shrimp and peanut sauce. It was delicious! The toasted marshmallow latte was good also. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is beachy.

    So cute inside!!

One of my favorite places to go! Food is fresh and delicious (my faves are the buffalo chicken wrap and the sushi!). Service is always WONDERFUL, and the vibes are perfect for a beachy cafe! Live music is wonderful (the singer "this is Chris" is my personal favorite). Bonus - you can get CHIPS AND QUESO as a side! Love Salty Brews so much!!

We arrived late today to put in a to go order and Kim was so fantastic, took our to go order, and offered a tasty beer while we waited. Place is decorated so nice for the holiday . Top marks for Kim and Salty Brews!

Love this place! Food, service and atmosphere were the best. Plenty of gluten free option.

We were greeted as we came in and told to sit anywhere. Seating was not particularly comfortable-hard metal chairs. We ordered drinks and our sodas were brought out in cans, which meant no refills which got expensive. We got the Korean BBQ lettuce wrap appetizer. It was ok. The lettuce was still wet and it was missing texture-chopped peanuts over the top would've helped a lot. We shared the chicken trashcan nachos. Again, it was ok. Queso tasted like Velveeta. Lettuce had a home cook chop on it. Needed guacamole and salsa on the side. It all tasted like food that a home cook would've made, but wasn't restaurant style in quality or taste. Would maybe try it again, but can't understand the 4.9 rating.

UPDATE: So I heard the "other side" of how things went down. Apparently, Corey said that I said, Give me a Fu(&'n Beer. Dude, you're a hot head and all you wanted to do was leave work. I never used profanity and you obviously mistook "Please" for the vulgar "F" word. You're a liar and maybe customer service isn't for you. I've been cooking, bartending and waiting tables longer than you've been alive. Respect your elders... I was walking home from Music on Main Street and was hoping to grab a beer and sushi. I know they close at 9:30 and I walked in about 9:20. Kim told me outside that they probably wouldn't make any food and I was fine with that. Came in and had a seat at the bar and asked for a Yuengling and if by chance I could get some sushi. Corey the bartender refused me any service because he said "he didn't like my attitude and can refuse service to anyone". I have worked in the service industry since the 80's and still do. I would never treat anyone like that. As a local who lives a mile away, I will never go back. Funny thing about all this is, one of your employees is a regular at the bar I work at. I'm a bigger person and will still cook her chicken wings an hour after the kitchen has closed. I am all about customer service and satisfaction. All I really wanted was a cold beer before I finished my walk home. I won't be back and I sure won't recommend this place to anyone.

2nd visit to Salty Brews. My friends discovered it a few days ago and loved the food, gluten free options, and the bartender, Cory, who was knowledgeable and attentive. We all had burgers today and loved them. Highly recommend.

Wanted to pop into this place just to support local and the sign and name was cute. The inside was super clean and aesthetically pleasing. Beachy themed without being obnoxious with a razzle dazzle of pupper. I forget her name cause ADD brain but the lady who was working immediately greeted me and offered me a menu. She was also very thorough in the run down of it and instantly got my attention with some things. I got the vegetarian ramen and was not disappointed! Everything was super fresh and the jalapeños were a very nice zesty touch! I thought the serving size was well worth the $13 with the food quality boppin' to boot. I initially only meant to get a liquid death and salted caramel coffee to go. But ended up getting ramen with them. The coffee was shockingly very, very good! Nice, genuine flavoring and most importantly as a coffee snob, BALANCED. Not overly sweet and not strong coffee. Then came Jolene the pup! I got to be an awkward stranger and take some pics of her. The staff were super down to earth and personable. Before other customers came in we chatted and had genuine conversations. As someone with social anxiety and general weird aura, it was super nice to just randomly talk to two pleasant people. Long review! But I highly recommend this place. It's locally owned. The two staff members working were incredibly down to earth and professional as heck. They started to get pretty busy and it was kinda awesome watching them zip and zing. Food industry workers, good ones at least, are fascinating to watch. There's a quality there that's elusive to most. Prices were very fair and reasonable. Food was high quality and fairly portioned. Cafe aesthetic was welcoming, very clean and modern. I genuinely have zero complaints and will definitely be returning. This is a local gem! Support our s!

This Thursday I was heading up with the wife to buy some fish and we decided to go for it. Of course there was zero parking with a parade of cars in the parking lot waiting to pick up food, when my wife noticed a pick up truck right in front of the place about to exit. She sped right next to the spot and jumped in before anyone realized it. We're in...or so I thought. We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.

It said that they were open every day from 11 to 11 however we arrived and found out this was false. We showed up around 12:30 and saw that their hours on their front door were different than the ones they had listed on Apple Maps. This was very disappointing since we had not eaten and traveled an hour just to eat there. We decided to go hungry and burn a few hours until they opened at four. When we came back at 4:05 we noticed there was a line outside the door and it was because they had not opened yet. We were very confused and thought maybe they were closed altogether for the holidays or something. They ended up letting us all in around 4:08 and told us that they cook did not show up. So it looked like there were only two bartenders that were actually there to open the place. They told us they could serve us drinks, but no food... At this point, we were starving and so disheartened that we had waited all this time and we weren't even going to be able to eat! We decided to sit down and wait and see if the cook ever showed up, he never did. The bartender decided to take our order and was going to try to prepare the food himself. My mom tried to order a sub, but he said he was only gonna be making pizzas. So my mom got a pepperoni pizza. I got a cheese pizza and it came out great, it was very delicious. Even warmed up great as leftovers the next day. Was almost even better a day later. I appreciate them for making it work and serving the customers to the best of their ability given their circumstances. I would give it five stars if their hours had been correctly displayed on maps and if the cook had showed up to the restaurant. The Christmas decor was wonderful. this would've been a great experience. Had everything played out differently. I do hope to be able to come back next year around Christmas and hopefully a cook will show up that day. Haha

I also like how they have nonalcoholic beverages as well, as seen in the photos and I hope more restaurants, such as this one can expand on it more. One of the few downsides I had with the Restaurant for me personally, was the fact that there was no Wi-Fi at all nor was there any form of digital payments such as Apple Pay/Google pay etc, and I'm not sure if the no Wi-Fi thing is an intentional choice, but I think having both of those things in a restaurant should already be common practice in 2026. Almost every restaurant you go to has a digital payment option as everyone is using those. So if you're trying to call someone or use your phone for other things, it becomes way harder with the lack of signal. Overall, the presentation of Restaurant is very nice and I definitely would go again to explore more of their options. if you're a restaurant trying to go for a more old-school approach or style to things, you can at least do so while adapting with the times.
