After a hike in Cool, my family and I needed some fuel, and this spot hit the mark. We arrived right around noon on a Saturday--perfect timing before the crowd rolled in. The place has a small indoor seating area and a spacious outdoor one. You can place your order at the window counters or inside, which is convenient. Call me a fattie but I went with the fish sandwich, fish and chips, and treated myself to the Biscoff Twistie. The fish was tender and flaky though it could've used a little more seasoning, the fries were fresh and crispy, and that Biscoff Twistie? Worth the drive back to Auburn! Service was quick, and there's a great selection of condiments--though I did wish they had some hot sauce! The rest of my fam ordered a variety of burgers that they devoured. The meat was juicy. The kiddos took his bacon. The kids: Grilled Cheese kiddo meal and Chicken Tenders. Wished we just ordered, 3 grilled cheese bc the kiddos loved it. My daughter said, mom can you rate this a 5 star. I said I would if she could describe in details exactly why it should be a 5. She just said because it's good. My daughter said the bread is really good. Which I think was just the burger buns flipped inside out. Maybe that is the special when you go to burger joints and get grilled cheese. The chicken nuggets is nothing special. The kiddos split the 2 pieces but didn't care for it. They ate it bc I said they needed their protein. Halfsie - half fries and onions rings. We probably did not have to order since the kiddos meals came with fries and with 3 kiddos that's plenty of fries. Beef taco, I was very surprised bc it was good. The cheese is a sliced cheese melted so not like your usually shredded cheese but it was flavorful but not over salty. The beef was juicy. Loved the topping was filled plenty. I now wished I ordered two but the one was enough to fill my belly. I would definitely recommend here over In and Out. Get the pastrami , bathrooms to the side kind of small but it was so clean I didn't mind touching the walls or dropping my pants to take a dump. Food takes a while, the time it toon is acceptable because they're making the burgers for you the right way , you can even watch them like you would at Krispy Kreme . I'm not sure if they appreciate it but they got the food out at an okay speed but the bathrooms were so well nicely kept clean . And they have an open are eating area so looked cool . This is really sad because ive been coming here for years and years. Ill say right now its the best burger around the area. But to come to this place on Wednesday and am under the impression that it opens at 10 and have to wait over a F****ng HOUR to EVEN ODER MY FOOD? 1st after waiting 20 minutes (id gotten there 10 before 10) I was told they wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. I wait 34 minutes and low and behold THEYRE NOW ON THEIR BREAK AND CANNOT SERVE UNTIL FINISHED (which was another 15min) Who the hell takes their break right when you open? The burgers were good sized - with those and our fried, we were full and changed our mind on getting a milkshake after. We'll try their shakes next time - there was a lot of people there eating ice cream and drinking shakes and they all looked delicious too. You can place orders outside at the walk up window or inside at the counter - the line was much shorter inside. Service was friendly and quick, we didn't wait long at all. Took a field trip to Nevada City & Grass Valley to see the sights. But, waited until the trip home to eat at Burger & Cream. It was an All Star stop. I had The Boss Burger, Fries & Strawberry Milkshake. It was a huge success. The burger was cooked to perfection and it had all the fixings with some bacon for extra flavor. The fries were great. But the show stopper was the Strawberry Milkshake! It was thick and creamy....damn it was good. It reminded me of the days when the shake was made with real ice cream and not ice milk. You know it's going to be a good shake when you need a special enlarged straw to "eat" and drink it. You can tell that the ingredients we of high quality, my wives patty melt was gone in a blink of an eye... so must have been delicious! I liked the vibe and the food was good BUT they messed up our order two different ways (one burger had the wrong toppings and they also left out an order of french fries so we had to go back and wait another 7-8 minutes for more to be made). My teen son rated his patty melt "9 out of 10. This is so good." My BLT had tons of bacon. My husband enjoyed his western bacon burger. My daughter's hotdog was grilled, as was the bun. They were very busy on Easter Sunday at 2pm so there were lots of calls on the intercoms for people to pick up food. We sat outside in the covered patio. Stopped here on our way home from Truckee. Loved the food - reminds me what what Shake Shack *tries* to be, but this is way better. Service was friendly, even if I did have to ask for my ice cream cone twice (it was huge when it came out). Outside is a little too cold to enjoy, and the inside seating a little too cramped. However, Outside bathroom was clean. Got takeout again tonight and the food was just as good. Tried a fish taco this time and it's definitely not socal style, with melted cheese, battered fish, and salsa, but it was a solid taco, needed lime but used malt vinegar instead. Are these two related because it sure didn't seem like it. Auburn location hands down. We both had the Double D, which is two 1/3 pound patties, bacon, American and Swiss cheese. I substituted Tillamook cheddar for the swiss. An absolutely delicious, juicy burger bursting with flavor! The burger was large and my wife didn't finish the second patty. The waffle cut fries were crispy, not soggy like that chicken place that's closed on Sundays. Fresh beef and produce along with the burger sauce! Highly recommended and a solid 5 stars. read more

They have plenty of different options but I've only tried their burgers, shakes, and fries so far. The burgers are juicy and flavorful. The fries are crispy and fluffy. The ice cream, milkshakes, and sundaes are all rich and creamy too. I love how customizable everything is too. I've tried the patty melt, regular burger, and spicy burger so far. I think my favorite is the spicy one- it has a deliciously spicy and tangy sauce that comes on it that is yummy but honestly I haven't gotten something I don't like so I think everything here is great!
