We were looking for a quick but good meal after a long day at SDZ Safari Park, and I'm so glad we found this place on Yelp. You are assigned a table, walk up to the counter to order, and then they bring your food to you. So not a formal sit down restaurant, but not really fast food either. It was a little chilly, so we all had the tomato soup with a different sandwich. I had a beer, my husband a hard root beer float. Always a fun place to go and enjoy a burger. The staff is kind and attentive which is a #1 in my book. The food is good, the milkshakes are real, and the tots are amazing. I wish that we could enjoy the inside dining but during this pandemic, that is not possible. Their fries are really good. Tots are decent too (very crispy). Decent beer selection(lovely IPOs). The mini-hotdog buns were delicious - not too much batter. I got the classic burger and thought it was only okay. I think I should've asked for a more toasted bun since that's what I prefer in burgers. The burgers dont belong on the bench, they are starters 100% of the time. I had the taco burger, loved the cilantro aioli spread and the pico de Gallo on it. All the elements complimented so well. Burgers can be a bit pricey but they make up for it on their sides. If you're eating with another person, don't bother getting two orders of fries, they are generous with the fries and tots. While you're at it make sure to get a side of cilantro aioli sauce and chipotle to dip, absolutely tasteful. Finally, grab a beer, great selection. The greatest thing about this place is the customer service and their attention to detail. They are committed to a great service and have adapted well with this pandemic. Definitely coming back soon. Really disappointed! I've been a fan of this place for years and lately it seems to have gone a little downhill. First of all, the turkey burgers are tiny! So tiny that the sunny side egg on top of my burger was bigger than the patty itself! Not sure if this is a cost measure but it was a little shocking! I also disliked that the wings were breaded, their more like mini pieces of fried chicken vice a traditional buffalo wing. The only thing that was good was the Caesar salad with blackened chicken! Stopped in for a beer on this hot afternoon, hardly anyone there and I was the only one in line at counter. Placed an order for one beer and sat at counter only to watch cook and reptionist just talking in a huddle. I had to raise my hand to ask for the beer I ordered 10 minutes ago. Observed the cook and receptionist having their conversartions as to which high school they attended. An elderly couple asked for eating untensils and they were directed to self serve area of which there were no untensils. I would think employees should be keeping an eye on the restaurant rather than just shooting the shit amongth themselves, enjoying their free food and drinks, sorry I tipped before my 10 minute beer arrived. This place is absolutely delicious!! I got the sample sliders since it was my first time here and enjoyed all three of the different burgers that came with it. It was a regular cheeseburger, chorizo burger, and a BBQ burger. I would recommend that if you like variety. The food tasted fresh and they have tator tots! Also the tator tots are must-so crispy and perfectly salted I'm only giving 4s because I was really looking forward to the " adult" root beer float made with spiked root beer...YUM!! I came here with my family on a Saturday for a late lunch. We specifically chose this spot because I had my pup with me and they are dog friendly. We chose a spot outside and had someone go in and order for us. I've noticed San Diego has a lot of spots where you order and pick a seat and this ones just the same. You get your number and they drop your food of to you when it's ready. I ordered the black bean burger which doesn't come with fries so I ordered a side of fries to share. The prices are a little pricy for it not being an actual sit down restaurant but the burger I had was pretty good and the rest of the family was happy too. Trust those who Yelp regularly... Recommended by the guys at Bling Bikes (a block away) over the Mexican food next to them. My vegetarian Black Bean Burger was almost perfect, except for the sad slice of tomatoe the kitchen obviously wanted to push on somebody. The arugula made the sandwich tasty as hell. Chicken wings (extra crispy) are DELICIOUS! +Online ordering was easy. - The are a little knuckleheaded inside. A couple of times they confused my bag/order with someone else's. Once I had to wait while the bloke on the phone at the register took a very long order.
