How many bites in a Burger Bite cheeseburger? I don't know because I did not finish. Let's recap. I was a little tentative to come back after the last time I came to Burger Bites and they were not open at the posted time. On this occasion the parking lot looked empty but I decided to try again. They were open with only one customer. The inside was bright and clean (overly so? Smelled medicinal?) in a diner style. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink. It took about 10 minutes for my order to come out. It looked very attractive with a shiny bun with the restaurant name stamped into the top bun. It was a 7 oz patty but seemed much larger as the patty was large and thin and seemed the size of a dvd (or cd-rom am I aging myself here?). It was also very messy with condiments and the meat was not juicy. It was overall decent but I could not finish it. The crinkle cut fries were hot but not crisp enough.

Fast-casual joints specializing in griddle burgers are everywhere. This one stands a bit above the crowd. The freestanding Lincolnwood restaurant is Burger Bite's second location. Formerly a Long John Silver's, this location is larger than the Rogers Park original and has a pleasant dining room. The décor--black & white inside and out--has a slightly upscale feel. It's immaculately clean and well laid out. You order at the counter and, if you're eating in, the food is brought to your table. At present there is no outdoor seating. Restaurant owner Edgar took our order and was happy to answer our questions. The menu features several burger variations. Apart from a "Veggie Burger," there are no other plant-based sandwiches on the menu, no salads, and no coleslaw. Other sandwiches include hot dogs, a BLT, and a chicken sandwich. All of the sides--deep fried--are unabashedly listed under the "Junk Food" heading. The equally indulgent dessert menu features milkshakes and gooey rich layer cakes. Obviously DIET is a 4-letter word here! Our burgers were mouth-watering and generous in size. Served on a glazed brioche bun "branded" with the restaurant logo (a nice touch), the meat is juicy but not run-down-your-arm drippy. Seasoning plus generous toppings add umami. We both ordered waffle fries, which come seasoned. I enjoyed mine but my Missus found them too salty for her taste. The restaurant happily substituted an order of regular crinkle-cut fries with no salt. Everything was hot and fresh with minimal "grease." Overall, we found Burger Bite to be a better value than most restaurants in its category (be aware, though, that there is a fee for credit card use).

We got a classic burger and Cowboy burger with fries. The burgers were fine but the fries looked and tasted bad. They were soggy.

Very nice staff. Good price and variety on the lunch special. Some great free smells, and tasty food.

I ordered carryout for lunch one day. My husband and I both got the bacon cheeseburger and waffle fries. The food was ready before I got there. I'm glad they did a whole face-lift outside and indoors because for too many years, this building still looked like LJS. The burger was good. It was juicy and cooked just right. The fried were unfortunately cold, but I'm sure it would've been different had we dined in. I'd order from them again!

My wife and I went Yelping for a burger place, and we found this place. It had good reviews and advertised Gourmet Onion Rungs. Alas, it, in our opinion did not live up to that billing. My wife ordered the Swiss and Mushrooms burger, and said the bun was over toasted, and the burger was very salty. I ordered the Cowboy Burger, it was decent but not incredible. The fries really didn't have any flavor, and weren't crisp (they did stay in the container for 10 mins while I drove home.) The onion rings were definitely not gourmet, I'd rate them as very good frozen onion rings. Initially I was going to order on their app for in restaurant pickup. However, the Taxes and Fees seemed high for the amount of the bill. There was no information in the app stating that they were adding a surcharge (they call it a convenience fee in the restaurant.). Since I didn't know why the Taxes and fees were so high I chose to order in the restaurant. They have a sign at the register stating they add a 3.99% convenience fee. I know this is the trend at restaurants but I find it to be a turn off. There are costs to having to handle cash as well... The final reason for the 2-star rating is that Burger Bite has a rewards program, but you can only earn points if you use t

It was a food burger and all but it was not worth the price. No wonder why it's always empty. I ordered a (forgot the name) burger without fries and it came out to $15.00. I never paid that much for a burger alone; usually it's accompanied by fries and a soft drink. They seem to have a good breakfast menu but once again the prices are absurd. I can go to my favorite pancake house and it would come out cheaper. Sorry, I don't think I will be back but by all means the burger was good but not $15 good.

Stopped by the shop one day after getting my nails done across the street. The first impression was the place was neat and clean. The service was quick and the server was nice. The food come out unexpectedly good as I'm very picky with my mushroom and swiss burger. But the only thing I didn't expect was the it had lettuce and ketchup on the burger made the taste a little off but the meat was juicy. I would totally order again but probably without the ketchup next time.

Burger Bite needed a second location. As someone who is a big fan of their Devon location, I was glad they were able to open up another. I love their polish hot dog, one of the few places that grill instead of deep fry them. The service is always quick even though things are made to order. The staff is always very kind. The restaurant is very clean, always. I don't think I have ever seen either of their locations dirty. I love Burger Bite, and I will be back soon!

The bacon cheeseburger was possibly the best one I've ever had! So fresh and didn't fall apart like a lot of burgers do. Their buns are really high quality too. Fries were fresh and crispy. Very clean and a cute little place to eat. Also the service was quick and friendly.

    Cheeseburger (without the bun).

I paid a visit to Burger Bite for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious, the people were friendly , the place was very clean, and it was kind of a perfect experience. I will be coming back!

We live just a mile away from Superdawg and just went here with our 4-year-old son, who calls it "hot dogs on the roof." Whenever I'm hungry for a Chicago dog and delicious fries, I immediately head to Superdawg to satisfy my craving. There is no other place like it, and it's a true Chicago establishment. I like that there are options for where you can eat. You can eat in your car and have the car hop bring you food. You can eat outside at the picnic tables. Or you can order inside and eat in their dining area. I also just found out that they provide catering! Superdawg will always hold a special place in my heart, and I hope that it remains open for generations to come.

There were two dozen stalls in which you could pull in your vehicle and use an intercom box with the menu printed on the side to transmit your order. A worker would then bring the food/drink to your parking space and use a handheld device to swipe your credit card. Alternatively, you could do what I did which was park and then walk up to a service window and order from there. Adjacent to the service window was a door that led to a room with countertop seating which served as a dine-in area. There were also a few canopied tables on the sidewalk at the edge of the parking lot. Their Chicago-style hot dogs were the featured products, however most of the menu was made up of other fare like fish/shrimp sandwiches, burgers, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, french fries, shakes, malts, sundaes, cones, etc. The price for the namesake Superdawg was now a whopping $9.30! I ordered one of those that consisted of a cardboard box packed with a poppy seed bun containing a pure beef hot dog dressed with all the trimmings. Those ingredients were golden mustard, tangy piccalilli, a kosher dill pickle, chopped Spanish onions and a hot pepper. Included in the box was Superfries which were extra crispy crinkle cut french fries. I also purchased a regular size Mellow Vanilla Supershake. I took a seat at a countertop inside the dine-in area which had only customer when I walked in. As I opened my box, it was packed so tightly that you couldn't even tell there was a hot dog inside (see my photo). The Superfries lined the top while the pickle and sport peppers also surrounded the poppy seed bun. I finished the fries first that I felt were overdone. The hot dog was normal size with a good snap to the frank. The neon green relish was unique as the bright color stood out. For a hot dog and a measly amount of fries, the cost felt high in my opinion. That being said, I didn't try a similar combo at any other spots around town for comparison. The vanilla milkshake was thick and creamy and the best part of my order. I gave a three star rating for my dining experience at Superdawg.

The Chicago hot dog was exactly what I hoped for, but the surprise was the fried shrimp. Easily some of the best I've had. Crispy, flavorful, and good enough that I'd return just for the shrimp. The customer service was also excellent. They were patient, friendly, and helpful while we figured out what to order. That kind of service matters, especially when you're visiting a neighborhood spot for the first time. With its proximity to Comiskey Park, I'm sure Jeff's is no secret to Chicago locals. But it rarely shows up on the national lists telling visitors where to eat in Chicago. It should. The restaurant itself has an older, small diner feel with plenty of character. Nothing fancy or manufactured for tourists, just a longtime neighborhood spot serving really good food. Chicago has plenty of famous restaurants. Jeff's Red Hots deserves to be one of the places visitors hear about before they arrive.

I have driven by the ginormous hot dog on a carving fork numerous times, and finally made it a point to stop in. The vibe inside is old school. It reminds me of the counter service places of decades ago, not that I was alive. The same goes for the no-nonsense service, the analog menu, and little tickets with your order number. Don't misunderstand, the service, while efficient, was perfectly polite. And the upholstery and other furnishings are in tiptop shape. Everything is also very clean. Further, unlike many old school type places, they do accept credit cards. The Polish sausage was okay. I don't believe this is supposed to be a revolutionary, mind-blowing product, so no worries there. The only quibble I have is that the moisture caused it to fall apart easily, quickly making it a fork-and-knife affair. Where it comes to the Chicago dog, this one was great! Not only was it technically perfect and well-balanced, it also had that characteristic snap that few places have been able to deliver on. Only as a matter of personal preference I would've liked a touch more celery salt, but that's exclusively a 'me' thing. This one did not at all fall apart, even though it was the second one I ate, Finally, I want to award points for the value. While the Polish is a little bit up there, the hotdog is served at a terrific price, seemingly beaten out only by Costco! While Wolfy's is a little out of the way to take out-of-town visitors to, if it is along the way, you can be more than sure we'd be stopping in.

Review Update (Morning Visit)…read more I wanted to update my review after a different experience this morning. I've always enjoyed the food here, which is why I originally gave it 5 stars. The burgers are still great, and I've generally had positive experiences. However, during a busy morning pickup, the customer service felt disappointing. I stood at the counter waiting for my order while multiple employees made eye contact with me and walked by, but no one asked if I needed help or was picking up an order. One employee even handled my order without checking whether it belonged to me. After waiting for several minutes, I finally asked about my order. The response felt rushed and dismissive, with the focus being on how busy things were rather than helping a customer who had been standing there waiting. I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially in the morning rush. My frustration isn't that the food took time it's that I felt ignored. A simple "We'll be right with you" or "Are you picking up an order?" would have made a huge difference. Instead, they thought I was an Uber driver that's why I was being ignored. The food is still excellent, but this experience left me feeling unwelcome compared to my previous visits.

The hot dogs were beefy but a little chewy, it was a natural casing dog so it was a little strange. All the toppings were fresh but they over did it on the celery salt. Even though I asked for everything, no sport peppers were put on the dogs. I was on a time crunch and would have said something but it was edible so I didn't complain to them. The fries were good. I will have to check out their broasted chicken next time.
