I went through the drive thru and ordered food for what I thought was for 6 people. I was wrong (and hungry). There were 5 burgers in my bag. I usually check my food when leaving so I did, but I was waiting in the drive thru line for longer than I expected and I'm sure my kids were at home complaining about how hungry they were in the most hyperbolic fashion. 9-26-2019 6:00 PM I went to the restaurant drivethroug and I ordered a double with cheese bacon and jalapeno. I go home slice through it and I have a single and I will provide the pictures because I am not lying. I get in my car and I drive to the restaurant and walk up the counter and I place the burger on the counter with the order and the employee behind the counter looks at me and says "what ". When a customer places a burger on the counter of burger restaurant...you don't say what...you say "is there something wrong " and then he takes the burger with derision in his eyes looking at me and he takes back and you have all these people looking at the burger like an alien. Tried this place cause of all the hype, I like that all the food is made to order, I tried the double cheeseburger which I had to pay for the cheese?? From the time I received my meal, it took 5 minutes to arrive home. The bottom of my to-go bag was soggy enough for my meal to fall out of the bottom. My double burger looked like it was slapped together, I opened up my wrapper to my burger looking like it exploded inside. Soggy bun, onions dead center, and no-cheese which I was charged for. Grease dripping. Big Red was carbonated water. My sons corn-dog had to have been sitting somewhere for some time, hard, room-temperature and not good in taste. I swear they took my order, went to Whataburger, and re-wrapped it and put it in a bag cuz it taste exactly the same. No unique taste difference. Nothing special. Just a normal ass burger. Get your burger to go and be on your way, as there isn't much seating available inside or out. You need to either come at off peak hours or expect to wait . with only seating for 10 ( Yup ,10) people inside and 12 outside , lunch time could be an adventure . the burgers are cooked to order and are served hot and juicy . I had the working man's special ( a double meat with fries ). The bun came nicely toasted and the burger had fresh tasting veggies . Their crinkle cut fries are thick and salted just right . they also have a few other sandwich options but not much more than a chicken sandwich and fish sandwich . You will spend the same here as you would at a chain burger joint but you get a much better tasting burger here . their drive thru stays pretty busy due to the small seating area . Looks old fashion but contemporary look to building and the shakes which are important in a Texas summer are amazing. Probably not healthy but some of the best shakes. The burgers are pretty tasty, the fries are thick cut, lightly seasoned and they have shakes as well. I tried the orange freeze, not sure of the exact name, but it wasn't all that. It reminded me of the push pops I would have as a small child, except that it had a carbonated aftertaste. The shakes are good. I liked that the burgers were freshly made and cooked to order. Simple and delicious. It's not a "gourmet" burger, but it is quite tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed the real Kraft American cheese they use. Only thing I think they could improve on would be a better "sear" on the meat for flavor and a real shade out front. The dining room is small, so going to eat in during peak hours might result in sitting outside under one of the four small and not very shady umbrellas. This is probably my favorite drive-thru burger joint. The food just tastes better than your typical fast food places, and is less "greasy." The part timer ( kids meal) is what my son and I both get, and I think it's a better price and helps with not feeling like you over ate. You can ask for the buns to be "double toasted." I don't care too much for their "famous" orange freeze which is like a slush- I just don't think it has flavor, but, I do absolutely recommend their shakes- those are the BOMB-DIGGITY- my favorite is the strawberry and big red! I decided to check this place out since there has been a lot of hype about their burgers. I actually saw a special on TV about the grand opening. On that special they mentioned that Burger Boy uses Bolner's meat market hamburger patties. If you've ever had the meat from there, you know that it's excellent quality. This really had me excited about trying a burger from there! I went there on a Friday afternoon, about a week after they opened. The drive thru line was crazy long (they had hired security to direct the drive thru line which was very smart of them) so I decided to brave the crowd and order inside. I ended up waiting in line for about 30 to 45 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes for my order to come out. I ordered the Bates special with cheese and got an orange slush for the drink. At first glance, the burger looked pretty typical. Okay, a burger doesn't have to look all spectacular and gourmet-like to be amazing. I was excited as I took my first bite! Well, unfortunately the taste matched the appearance. It was just average at best. Whomp whomp whomp! I was not impressed at all! The vegetables looked and tasted fresh, the cheese was plain Kraft American (not my favorite), and the meat lacked in flavor. The buns were not toasted so that also took away from the taste. The fries were obviously previously frozen from a bag but they weren't bad. The orange slush was a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, my experience wasn't terrible. The service was good and the staff had a good system down to work through all of the orders in a timely manner. The food was okay but nothing that I would be willing to wait 45 minutes or longer for. The place is clean and I enjoyed the outside seating area, which made for a nice evening dinner. I ordered a cheese burger and it was good, I wouldn't say phenomenal, but good. It was better than IN N OUT and five guys. The Burger flavor and style reminded me a lot of Whataburger except Whataburger has way better fries. Burger Boy's fries are very basic crinkle cut fries, nothing special. I did like the aesthetic of the building, It has that old timey feel with a modern twist and the employees wear the same little hats as the IN N OUT employees. Visited this place in early June 2018. This was our first visit to this Hamburger "Joint "! As burgers go, this was a good hamburger for me. They were very busy but our order was out pretty fast. The staff was friendly and the good thing - they got the order right the first time! Hamburger didn't have much flavor to it but it was piping hot, the buns were warm for an"to-go" order and slightly greasy and reminded me of boyhood hamburgers sold locally by a Mom & Pop corner Hamburger Stand in my hometown.
