Burger Cache used to be amazing, I remember when I was in middle school up until my sophomore year of high school I would eat there at least once every 2 weeks. The fries were the most amazing thing ever, and the burgers were great. The Chinese food was pretty decent for a fast food place. I had no complaints, until that is the end of my sophomore year of high school when the Mongolian beef/shrimp fried rice started making me sick anytime I'd order it. Now, let me say if it happens once it's usually just a fluke so I order it one or two more times. And both times I ended up at home sick from school the next day. This was 3 years ago. I stopped ordering the Chinese food and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I moved away from that side of town after that, so I stopped ordered from them. Then, just recently I was on that side of town with some family and we decided to grab some food to go. They got the deep fried clams and fries, and I got the deep fried shrimp and fries. I don't know what they thought of their food, but when we got it home and opened it, it immediately smelled off to me. I thought maybe it was because I hadn't had it in so long, but as I started eating it I realized something was weird about the food. It didn't make me sick at all, but it was laden with grease like they tried to fry it before the grease was hot. And the fries were sort of limp, soggy, and didn't have that usual beautiful double fried crunch and taste. Overall, their food was great 3 or 4 years ago but I don't miss it at all these days. Must be new owners or something, because the food definitely gone downhill. And even back then the dining room of the restaurant was never all that clean, so I'm terrified to see what it might look like these days. read more

Very pleased with this place. I remember going here when it was a Tasty Freeze location probably back in the 70s so it's a nice place for me to visit. Food was good .... I got the taste Burger and yesterday I got the Hawaiian burger both are excellent!!!! the fries were atrocious they were disgusting we threw them away the texture was weird the taste is weird. Stay away from the fries. GOOD service, nice Asian people running the place. I hope to win the thousand dollar drawing. my companion got some fried rice and it was excellent I plan on going back in the next couple weeks and trying some Chinese food enough this place they've got burgers tacos Chinese... a little of everything .... a little too much but what I've tried is good except the french fries. read more

Pretty standard food for the price, with one notable exception: the fries are outstanding. I'm not sure what brand of dark voodoo magic they're practicing in the back of the kitchen, but the dark lord of flavor has personally blessed those things. Also, the service was good. read more

I've been eating burger cache for YEARS since I was a child and today I had 3 orders of fried rice a burger and fries well when I opened the bag my house fried was was on its side and spilled , I called there very nicely explained the situation and they basically accused me of lying saying the driver didn't do anything and asking why only one was on its side ????? WHAT ...the man was offering me a credit while the lady was yelling in the background stating they didn't do anything wrong and saying it's my fault ....and to call corporate if I have a problem ....I will never order from here again to be treated like that , things do happen accidents do happen I wasn't looking for free rice BURGER CACHE , but keep treating people like crap that's great business practice ... read more

Stopped by Burger Cache for a quick take out order because I heard their burgers were good. I was sadly disappointed as I found the meat patty to be rubbery (low quality) and not tasty at all. I only finished half of it and tossed the rest. My partner ordered the mushroom cheeseburger but got no mushrooms whatsoever. Check your order before you drive off or else you will get ripped off!. I've been driving by Burger Cache for years thinking WTF??? Since I've moved right down the street from it, I decided to try it out. The woman working behind the counter was extremely friendly. I got a bacon cheeseburger with fries to-go. This is a typical old fashioned eat-in type place where you order at a counter and come pick up your food when your number is called, no servers, no frills, no fuss. With each order you get two raffle tickets for a monthly $1000 drawing... which is awesome. The menu here is quite interested, with a variety of burgers with different toppings, from a fried egg, to pepperoni and mozz. I stuck with a basic bacon cheeseburger, and I was satisfied, but not impressed. The fries however, were delicious and extra crispy. And the price really can't be beat. Anywhere you can get a meal in Anchorage for less than $10 is great in my book. Theres also a wide variety of chinese food on the menu. I will most likely be returning to the Burger Cache read more

Ordered garlic chicken, and it was too salty to eat...not to mention drenched in cooking oil. The rice in their house fried rice was hard, and tasted old. The meat in it wasn't seasoned, dry, and the nasty little canned shrimp they use made a majority of the rice taste like old seafood. read more

To be quite honest, I don't ever recall Burger Cache burgers being all that good. Their Chinese food is better than any burger they make, especially the sesame chicken which isn't bad considering the fact that it's a bunch of Koreans making it. I just find it odd that your secondary food tastes a lot better than the primary food which you advertise. Just say no....McDonald's is better! So myself and my coworkers ordered a mushroom burger, chili dog, fried mushrooms and fries. What we got was a poor excuse for a hockey puck burger that had burnt mushrooms, no cheese when the menu states it comes with 2 cheeses and a very stale bun. A chili dog with no chili, and very cold mushrooms. Although the fries were awesome, their customer service also sucks, because when I called them to send us what we ordered, they said they could not deliver again and would give us a credit. read more

As soon as they answered they put me on hold for five minutes then when they got back online, they asked for my address and as I was saying which hotel I was at and about to give the address when I was interrupted in a mean demeanor what the address was and I was about to say and then the guy say's "You can call back later!" and hung up!! We liked this place to get take out food delivered ...but they continued to charge a fuel surcharge although the price of gas is the lowest it has been in years and we live in a nearby neighborhood. Then we received our order of 2 mongo beefs and pot stickers and one of the mongo beef meals barely had any mongo beef in it. We called and complained and they brought another but the delivery guy said to order the larger size next time if we wanted more mongo beef. We payed $35 with tip and thought we should get more than enough Chinese to eat for that price. Other places in town give very generous portions for a better price. We had been a consistent customer but have decided to never ever be ripped off again by their fuel surcharges and small portion for a big price. read more

This is the 3rd time in 6 months that i have gotten crappy service from this place. The first time, not only did my food take way over an hour to get to me. They forgot my drinks and I had to wait over another hour just for them to bring them. My fries were old so My 1 year old did without theirs. The second time I decided to order since every place makes their mistakes. Nope, I asked for fresh fries. One came fresh and the other was way old. So 4 months go by and today, 2/24/14, I place a very specific order(yes the employee spoke english). I made sure to ask for fresh fries because the last two times they weren't fresh and to please not forget my drinks. So my food arrived at work pretty quick. Not only was my burgers not made right, but the fries were nasty and tasted like very old oil. I mean its one thing if i was rude about it and demanding but this was not the case.
