It is very rare for me to get a soda with an order at any fast food place just because IF they have coke zero, they just have that and not cherry coke zero. But Burger King does so that was a delightful discovery. Honestly, I am not a giant drive through order person - at least not that I have not been a tragic college student going on several decades. I try not to eat too terribly tragic although, it is what it is and so is my schedule. So when I am running around trying to get all the things done and then realize I forgot to eat and should probably get that task done and not pass out at the next store I run around. I even decided to order what you would never order at a drive thru since I am just asking for trouble. Honestly, I was more annoyed I needed to grab food and I did not want to get something heavy like a burger and I would normally maybe go for chicken pieces or something but I needed to consume this while travelling to my late day thing on the other side of town with zero time for a pit stop. I ordered the fishwich. This was actually rather tasty! It was just what I needed with some fries - especially with my cherry coke zero. And I even got some icy cold backup with a frozen cherry... Confession...I snuck this into a movie place that has VERY limited drink options for those of us who don't drink beer so this went swimmingly with my vat of popcorn. And thanks to my fishwich I was not eating on the vat of popcorn like I was in training. Some drive thru experiences are definitely far better than others and I must say having friendly folks who take your order accurately and who are friendly and helpful is a game changer. This is especially true for me usually because I do not go in trying to start something or be man - but deep down I am annoyed that I need to do this to myself. I really am not a fan of rushed eating. So when I go in thinking UGH...and I am greeted by someone friendly who wants to help - it is just nice having your attitude turned around. Decided to go through drive through to get two whopper jrs for 5 bucks. Person didn't understand dude kept talking in her ear I could hear it on speaker. I said you keep asking me what I want but with dude in ear you won't be able to hear. POS dude then said what do you want and I order for the third time. Wow, where to begin. I pulled up in the drive-through at 9 o'clock in the morning, and the lunch and dinner menu was still up. I don't eat there a lot for breakfast, so I didn't really know what was what. Then there was a sign up on the menu board that said their earphones were broken and you had to order at the window. No big deal, I pulled around and the guy who was at the window had on a disgusting shirt that had food splattered all over it. He looked really gross and dirty. I asked him how much a sausage biscuit was, and he mentioned that he didn't really know and thought they were two for four dollars. Well, they are $.75. He quoted me the wrong price on a cup of coffee, but I paid it anyway. When I was paying him, he said to me is that for here or to go, and he must've cracked himself up because he thought that was the funniest thing in the world and even told some coworkers what he said. I asked for some catch-up for the hash browns, and the guy grab some out of a box and told me I don't know why these are all sticky they came out of the box like that. That is so disgusting. When I looked at the catch-up it look like there was honey all over them and they were actually stuck together. How hard is it to put all the catch ups and water and wash them off. Again that is really disgusting. When the guy was waiting for the food he grabbed a couple napkins out of there dispenser why did them up and is disgustingly dirty hands and then threw them in my food bag. Needless to say I did not use those napkins. Lastly, no receipt was given so I could not leave any feedback anywhere else but here on yelp. Let me preface this by saying there are good BK's a few miles east and west of this location, with good managers and employees. This is all about the Butler Street location. The kid sitting on counter facing away from the dining room when I came in was the first sign. When his manager had to yell at him to simply move his butt off THE SURFACE THEY PUT THE FOOD ON, that was the second. The menu screens were down, and I didn't know the specials, which was enough for the same manager to yell at me. That would be me, THE CUSTOMER. If they would have apologized or offered some sort of compensation I would of been more understanding. But they were rude on top of it. It is your average fast food fare, however you can get some decent items. And past midnight this is one of the few places still open for last night eats. Note that their drive thru is open 24 hours. I had a pretty simple order, a big king, a pulled pork sandwich and a #1 with cheese. They forgot my cheese and I didn't have time to go back from work to let them know, so I tried to call their listed number and no one answered. Not happy. This is why when I want a burger, I go to Carl's Jr. or five guys. Also, they gave me regular coke when I ordered diet. I am a type 1 diabetic. Went in not expecting much, because it's a Burger King, but was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful customer service and how fast they got my food ready. The guy behind the counter, who's name I can't remember, was genuinely nice and gave me a lot of sauce when I asked for some. The food was warm and fresh, and about as tasty as Burger King gets. The store itself is a little run down- ketchup dispenser was broken so they had packets instead, soda fountain was out of lemonade, and few tables were a little gross, probably needing a quick wipe down. Really one of the worst ones I've been to. One week no whoppers cause the broiler is broken, the next week no meat for whoppers, the week after that the mic is broken, but it's not really broken. I say this because there was a big sign over the speaker saying that its broken and to order at the window, I get to the window and like magic it apparently works and I get a nasty face saying I should have ordered at the speaker. We met the manager and his grandson who also works there and they were some of the nicest and most positive people I have met in the food industry. The second time in as many weeks that we went to the drive-thru only to be told that their broiler was broken! This after waiting behind a few cars. If the broiler has been broken for more than a few days there needs to be a clear well-lit sign that says so! They had put on an A4 sized print out that says their broiler is broken but put it up on the darkest part where nobody could read it. read more

I never thought I would highly rate a Burger King or fast food chain for that matter but I was surprised mainly by the super awesome service at the drive-thru. I was able to customize my burger with no fuss, and the team member even offered me to make it a combo. I did not feel rushed. At the window the great service continued even offering ketchup and sauces to go with my meal--thank you for offering! I usually never get asked that a McDonalds. At home the positive experience continued, as I enjoyed my warm double cheeseburger with thousand island sauce and thick cut fries. Thanks BK for saving my stomach and wallet. tl;dr-What a great feeling; being starved hungry and biting into an under-cooked chicken sandwich. Ordered a Whopper and Spicy Chicken sandwich at the drive thru and after having to correct the person on the PA that a my order falls under the "2 for 6" deal, I drive around to the window. After paying I'm told the chicken sandwich is going to take a few minutes to cook (this is important) and asked to pull over and come in, so I do-since i already paid and am basically stuck in this situation. Note: if you're offering a promo like "2 for 6" then you should be expecting those to be ready, since it's fast food-not made to order. BUT I DIGRESS Get my food, get home, and bite into what I expect to be a well-cooked/fresh-er chicken sandwich. What I got was a rubbery mess of under-cooked chicken and a possible case of salmonella. It makes me wonder if your freshly "cooked" chicken slab isn't actually cooked fully when it comes out of the fryer and the sitting under the heatlamp is what really finishes the job.
