Not the healthiest food, but I treat myself once a year, and I always order the Big Fish burger meal with milk. It arrived too hot to eat, the plus of asking for an unusual burger, it is always freshly cooked. The bread is too soft and the cheese plastic, but the fish is always juicy and the combo of everything in the burger is hunger banishing. This BK is quite busy and sits a decent amount of people. Today service was slow because they were understaffed, the gals n guys were working hard to keep up with both restaurant and drive through orders. I waited about 15 mins for my food. Plus is that there is AC, lots of seating, free hand sanitizer, and ketchup is available on the counter without having to ask. Plenty of free parking outside too. This is my son's weekly treat he loves the chicken fries meal. Sometimes if I feel like wanting something on the menu I usually get the chicken wrap. My daughter likes the fries and my SO only gets the mushroom burger but it's seasonal so he hasn't gotten anything. Service is good never had bad experience with them yet. If you're looking for deals to help stretch your dollar, don't bother coming to the Kahului Burger King. They have almost all of the Royal Perks offers disabled (with currently only one usable deal) while the Lahaina location has a ton of great offers that actually help local families eat for less. This is especially frustrating in a time when food prices are through the roof and locals are being priced out of paradise. Instead of supporting the community, it feels like the Kahului franchise owner is choosing profits over people. Other locations prove it's possible to still offer discounts and make it work, so this is clearly a choice, not a necessity. It's sad to see a business in Maui take this approach when so many are struggling. I don't want to bust BK's balls because you know, fast food, but what on earth is up with the high prices? Two Whopper's with cheese, and one small fry was over $23? To be fair, it's been awhile, and the Whopper's are my honey's fav of the fast food burgers, but they're not THAT friggin' good! Also noticeable during a previous trip, that the onion rings are much smaller than they used to be (the actual rings, not the size of the containers). What is the franchise using? Pearl onions? I will say that the meal we were served was fresh, and the fries were piping hot, which is definitely a win. With the closing of the Dairy Road location, it leaves Kahului with two (the other one inside OGG). Their heavily advertised Impossible Whopper is what prompted this review update. I was apprehensive to try it at first after Google results reported GMO ingredients. Some of the corn I eat are GMO-based so what's one burger gonna do? FOOD: Impossible Whopper - $10.99 (combo) I added cheese as I can't eat a burger without it. Texturally, it felt like a beef patty on my fingers and tongue though was a bit drier. As far as taste goes, I could tell it wasn't beef as the flame-broiled Whopper "taste" wasn't there. Nothing nasty to report but it was missing the juiciness that naturally oozes from actual meat. I also don't rule out mentality as some bites tasted like beef while the majority didn't. LOL. It's weird, so you have to try it. It didn't suck but I'd never order it again. It's hard to beat Burger King/BK with their iconic flame-broiled goodness in the fast food chain burger game. BK's classic Whopper and a side of onion rings with zesty, creamy horseradish sauce... bomb! If you don't feel like meat, or just want a healthier option, BK's impossible Whopper (vegetarian) is also really delicious. You can hardly tell you're not eating meat... seriously tasty! You can add cheese to any burgers, remove onions, add extra pickles, etc. because come on, it's BK, and you can have it your way! The burgers, fries and drinks are all a good size. Their "mediums" are massive. Go big or go home! And, BK is generous with the pickles, but most importantly, they aren't afraid to use mayonnaise. You really feel like you get your money's worth at BK and are satisfied. That's rare these days from most fast food joints. What else can I say? BK is indeed the Burger King and always has been. If you use the BK app apparently none of the BKs in Hawai'i honor this since they do not participate If you do participate in their surveys it is best to retain the physical receipt because we ran into trouble attempting to redeem a code without it (even with an email confirmation from BK, c'mon corporate get with the program). I tried the 2 for $8 deal for their sandwiches and was left unimpressed. You can mix and match different sandwiches on their menu. Their fish sandwich (the "Big Fish") comes with your standard fare of lettuce and tartar sauce. What was a nice surprise was that the sandwich came with pickles. The fish patty was on the saltier side but it was crispy. However, personally this doesn't feel like best deal that I've seen from a fast food chain on island. I will say that the service was fast, my order was accurate and the food was hot. Lots of space inside to sit in air conditioning and eat your food. Read a good review of the BK Chicken Sandwich. I've been going to KFC and have been consistently happy with their spicy version. So I thought I'd try the BK alternative in view of the good review I recently read. It's named the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich", trouble is that it wasn't crispy. There were a few hard pieces around the edge that I wanted to call crispy, but I couln't bite through them. They were just rock-solid hard. Overall, the sandwich was a bit soggy, like it had been on the warmer for a while. I kept trying to talk myself into the idea that it wasn't too bad, until I gave up and tossed the uneaten second half back into the bag, and the bag into the trash. Not recommended at any time, for any reason. Next time I'm in the mood, I'll just go to KFC. The spicy one is actually good tasting and pretty spicy. Figured covid and maybe Burger King isn't too popular on this island. Ordered a Whopper meal with Dr Pepper. Got my food in a timely manner. On a casual Sunday here in Kahului Maui, after knocking off 13.1 miles at the 2017 Maui Ocean Front half marathon and an afternoon of Pokémon Go, I came here to this precise Burger King location to get some dinner. Once I arrived, there was a sign that said that their credit card systems was down and it was just cash only. Wtf? Oh well, I had a few bucks on me at the time, so I went ahead and purchased a large drink with said cash and decided to look for my meal elsewhere. Probably it was the better choice since I had McDonald's for lunch up in Kahana yesterday. Variety is the spice of life and discovering hidden gems via yelp is always a fun and exhilarating thing. The overall experience here at this Kahului Burger King at 1/15/2017 was rather sizable and yet average at the same time. It's your usual fast food experience with the casual quietness that comes with it being Sunday evening and everyone else seems to be elsewhere enjoying the island's more delicious cuisine rather that fast food. For the most part, the experience here was enjoyable, especially because there was no line when I came in and there was no kids crying while in line with their parents. The restaurant itself was clean and organized for the most part. There were just a few tables occupied but it was far from being busy. This Burger King does not have wifi, which is a major bummer though. For what it's worth, I rather have hang out at the Starbucks at the Queen K Mall, but I was lazy. I must have spent about 15 minutes here at this Burger King location. I filled my large cup up with soda 3x and hung out before leaving and refilled my cup up for the 4th time. I guess I was just that thirsty or something. This Burger King is located at 6 Puunene Avenue on Highway 36, which is pretty much 1/2 mile from the Queen K Mall and kind of next door to the Maui Mall. They do usually accept credit cards, which is always awesome, but for some reason when I was there, it didn't happen for me. For the most part, the Burger King experience could have been better, mostly due to the credit cards issue that they had experiencing, but that's alright though, it was a minor issue that probably was beyond their control. It happens, unfortunately, but what can you do? This Burger King location has ample parking options, so you can take comfort knowing that you can get your meal here without much effort. They also have a drive through option as well, so you don't need to even get out of your car to get your meal either. How sweet is that? In the past, my favorite BK option was the whopper Jr meal, since it was priced good and didn't fill me up to where I was bloated. However, I probably would have gone with that option for this experience at BK Kahului, if the credit card machines were not down. Oh well. It is what it is. For those of y'all who enjoy the fast food scene, Burger King seems to be the better choice, in terms of quality, in the general sense - based on previous experiences at other locations. I know that BK in Kahului wouldn't be any different though. All the same and uniform in their processes and procedures. Check this place out if you are in need of something inexpensive from what Maui has to offer, in terms of fine dining at the hotels and resorts around the island. It's a quick meal fix that can be apart of anyone's budget (locals or visitors). 3.5 stars overall. Service was good and average. Support local! C+ read more

The promos like 2 cburgers, fries, drink cost $5.29 instead of $3.29(+60%). 2 Whopper meals for $10 turns into $14(+40%). 2 for 5 mix and match goes from $5 to $7(+40%). Most fast food places in Maui have a +15-20% mark up but places like Jack in The Box offer -10% kamaaina. BK might as well double their prices because at these markups, I'm not going. I ordered the Impossible Whopper combo with onion rings at the drive through. I said "can I have the number 3 with onion rings" that's it. The person on the other side sounded like she got my order. Then she started saying other things that didn't make sense, then she got cut off and I a younger voice came on the intercom. I had to wait for a long time because she messed up the order for the guy in front of me. When I drove up to the window she was going to charge me for 2 meals, the Impossible Whopper combo with onion rings and a double Whopper combo with regular fries. She tried to correct it with her manager but still messed that up by giving me the Impossible Whopper combo with REGULAR FRIES. I just gave up and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Went to Burger King to order the taco special that has been advertised on TV for $1.00 per taco. This Burger King charged $1.35 per taco. I ordered 6 tacos and they were by far the worst tacos that I ever had. The tacos were extremely greasy snd it appears they were fried on the grill since they were flat as a pancake. I tried their new jalapeno bites for $3.99 and a small fries for $3.29. On a hot day like this I got a large drink for $4.39. Gotta admit, The BK Fish was delicious. A sandwich that clearly hands down beats McDonald's Filet-O-Fish. The Whopper was like a weaker version of a basic Wendy's burger. I didn't find it appealing. Their new jalapeno bites look as like miniature baby version of McDonald's chicken nuggets.... For toddlers! Albeit tasty but just not worth it! The fries they had were good but I'd clearly preferred McDonald's. Did I mention I had a large drink?! Yes, I did! I figured that with a price tag of $4.39 I'd get to enjoy myself on a hot day like this but then again.... Not really. Before I ordered I clearly asked if drinks were refillable. The female cashier said yes. Hence the over inflated price tag! I ordered my coke with no ice. I got a large cup filled with 65% ice 35% Coke.
