Great place to grab something quick to eat. Reasonable prices with good portions. Order at the counter and you pick it up yourself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cupies Breaded Teri mini plate for the win! I love that I can get sides other than Mac salad & their green salad is super fresh. The only junk thing is it's pretty expensive for a plate lunch, but the mini plate filled me up. My nephew loved the strawberry banana Nutella crepe as well!

Stopped by for a burger and fries-so yummy! All menu items are made to order, so expect a wait. Service is friendly and parking available in the front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual vibes, come as you are, no AC, but cool enough when sipping your cool drink or shake![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Crinkle cut fries are crispy and hot-a must order!

Do not come here for nostalgia. The food is definitely not the same. Ordered the breaded teriyaki, per usual. It didn't hit at all. If you're looking for something close to the old school version, go elsewhere. BUT! They have the best bread pudding I've had in awhile! Served hot with syrup it's fantastic! This is something worth going here for! Skip the food, get dessert and you'll be good!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First time on Maui and first time here and I got to say it's a pretty nice place they got some water shower thing outside so if it's hot you can cool down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyways back to the food that you all want to know about. So I had the mini breaded teriyaki plate and a peanut butter smoothie and I got to say that smoothie was sooo good and the breaded teriyaki was also good. Definitely got to come back here to try more of the foods and drinks.

Cupies one of my go to places every once a while when I want a nice treat. Workers are nice and the service is pretty quick in terms of ordering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area itself can get kinda crowded since it doesn't have the biggest parking space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are outside not in a closed space so it can get hot so I prefer to just do take out most of the time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For me my favorites would be their milkshakes and the badua crepes which are so good. I also really enjoy their chow fun, they got lots of options for local food and breakfast.

This is one of our regular places to pick up dinner from. The food is good and we especially like their slushies and other frozen treats. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is covered patio seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Orders are placed at a window. Service is fast and friendly.

Special of the day. Pork loin with mushroom and gravy.

One of my go to places in Maui. Fast and delicious. The staff is always friendly . Will always stop by to get a meal to go.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place looks like it's mostly visited by locals as opposed to tourists.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their soft serve is generously served and their banana bread was warm. I'd love to return and try their burgers or other items since everything people were eating looked and smelled good :))

Big menus filled with lots of variety, I went with the bacon cheeseburger and ube milkshake. Burger was savory & delicious, milkshake was creamy & full of flavor. What a great prices, yo pay for what you get!

Another nostalgic gem to check out while in Wailuku. We were looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport, and a friend recommended this place - the breaded teriyaki was specifically mentioned as a must-try. So we got a few breaded teriyaki sandwiches, fish n chips, and fried noodles. The son absolutely loved the fried noodles - ate the whole plate before I had a chance to sample some of it! The breaded teriyaki sandwich was good, but I wouldn't consider it one of the best things to eat on Maui. They weren't serving slushies , which was a big disappointment because I've heard a lot of great things about their slushies!

    Alice X.

This is a great to go meal. A lot locals eat here. There are so many things on their menu but apparently their signature item is the breaded teriyaki. It's pretty tasty!

No matter how many times it may change owners, the taste of someone who's born and raised on Maui can appreciate the simple home cooking of Cupies, and how it was one of the businesses that really supported its Maui community during the pandemic. I recommend any of their shakes/crepes, and also the breaded teriyaki plate - Miguel Morales Photography

Ask the Community - Cupies Maui

    What's the ubebangbang?

Jacqueline..... It is on our secret menu. It is our famous Ube Shake with strawberry Pop Rocks in it. Thanks for your question.

Does Cupies now serve shakes as a regular menu item?

Hi Sam thanks for your question. It is kind of a regular item. The Pulehu Steak is a weekly dinner special. it starts at around 6 every Tuesday until it sells out.

Do they serve roast pork daily or is it a weekly special, if so on what day?

    I believe it's a special on Thursdays.

So, We picked up food to take out for a picnic ahead of our drive to Hāna. The line was very long and was disrupting traffic flow in the parking lot. The food was very good. I really wanted to love this place because I loved Sheldon on Top Chef…read more but...unfortunately...everything I tried was terrible. I tried teh Kau Kau Tin with pork belly and garlic noodles, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and a small mac salad. Generally, the Kau Kau Tin and the mac salad were utterly bland. The mac salad tasted of nothing. The garlic noodles in the Kau Kau tin also lacked flavor. The garlic noodle had the slightest of garlic taste. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and was the best part of the Kau Kau tin and I made sure to make each every piece of that. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was the most disappointing item I tried. The chicken patty was just a VERY FATTY piece of fried chicken. It was terrible. The texture shock alone from biting through crispy crust to gelatinous fat was shocking. But then, the chicken was not seasoned. It was a textural monstrosity that had no flavor. All in all, I'm glad I tried it. I will definitely try it again when back on the island in hopes that this was just a bad day.

It included rice, mac salad,1 slice spam, Mochiko Chicken, BBQ Beef, and 2 large pieces of Shrimp Katsu. Mochiko Chicken is light and crispy and the Shrimp Katsu was battered and huge. The BBQ Beef was succulent and juicy however the sauce wasn't overwhelming. Spam is spam. The rice was a tad dry however the mac salad was good. I did not eat any of the other plates however since all were empty, Im assuming it was Ono. Next to the register there is a display case with various desserts. The next day going home, we stopped by to grab some dessert. The Lava Rocks come in a pair at $5.50. Moist, soft and super chocolaty. The chocolate haupia bar was very nice and not overly sweet. The Chantilly brownie was very chocolaty with a hint of Chantilly and nuts only on top. Both bars were a Shareable size. Overall the staff is very helpful and friendly, the restaurant itself, very bright & open and the food was very Ono! Highly recommend.

We've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my experiences here, but last night I had a dish that compelled me to write a review. The oxtail soup which is listed as a favorite is a dish I've been eyeing for a while, but it's usually been too warm for me to crave it. But last night was the night. I'm getting over a cold and it's been raining off and on for weeks. The bowl arrived at the table with a plate underneath - smart move because it takes some work to eat oxtail soup. Armed with my fork and spoon, I went at it. The first taste floored me. It was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the fresh ginger, the broth was a beautiful brown color, there was plenty of napa cabbage and it came with a dish of a scoop of glossy steamed rice and steamed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Our waitress offered to bring over condiments so I went for the soy sauce - sprinkled on the rice and veggies, I noticed that the veggies might have had a little sesame oil flavor on them so that made me happy. A spoonful of rice dunked into the broth with some of the tender fall of the bone oxtail meat, and a little crunch of the napa cabbage and I was in absolute heaven. I tasted my husband's pork adobo and that was equally as delicious as always. But that soup - that's what really did it for me last night and stays with me today. I walked out of Tante's with a swollen and happy belly and a fresh, tiny piece of ginger stuck between my teeth...a treat for later.

They've been part of the island's food scene for over 12 years now, and I still remember their off-the-beaten-path spot on Hobron Avenue in Kahului. You would have never guessed there was delicious food being served up there, but those who knew, knew. These days, you can find them in Kahului parked at Da Tambayan Corner on Lono Avenue, or sometimes popping up out at Ho'okipa. Now, full disclosure -- I don't eat raw fish, so I can't personally vouch for their poke bowls, but that's what they're known for and I've had a number of friends and family enjoy it. What I can vouch for, though, is their fried poke -- perfectly seasoned ahi cubes, floured and fried, served over rice and lettuce, and drizzled with a creamy mayo aioli. Get it hurricane style for extra sauce and furikake seasoning -- it's delicious and gives it an extra boost as once in a while it's on the drier side. Another favorite is the poke bake, which is just as satisfying and generously portioned. Started getting this recently and it hits the spot. Highly recommend either dish, especially if you're like me and prefer your fish cooked. And whatever you do, don't skip the furikake fries -- curly fries topped with aioli and furikake. SO good. Beyond the great food, my team has worked with Like Poke for company events, and they're always a hit. Friendly service and consistent quality eats that keep people coming back -- they're a favorite among locals for a reason.
