    Ch'King Sandwich
    Andrew B.

First, the bacon cheeseburger and fries were good. Hot burger, salted fries, everything on the burger, all good. I would actually call the burger exceptional. The ch'king sandwich man, sheeeesh. I got the ch'king at a different bk location a couple weeks ago and it was nothing like this. The fry oil must have been WAY too hot because the fried chicken is overdone to the point of rubberyness with a disgusting thick tasteless outer layer. Whoever tossed the chicken, take a little more care because there's huge chunks of breading. I understand it's a nuisance to hand bread and fry chicken, especially when you're trying to run a lunch shift and fry your sides at the same time. But, this chicken sandwich was around 7$ after tax and I'm really unhappy with what I received. If you go to this location stick to burger and fries. Maybe grab some onion rings or jalapeño bites. To the workers, make sure that fry oil isn't torching your specialty chicken sandwich! Please, for the sake of the next costumer who wants this delicious sandwich.

I had a Saturday night off from work and wanted to go out to a nice family dinner. We chose The Cheesecake Factory in West Hartford because it has a huge menu and everyone can get what they like. Welp, we didn't think there would also be a huge wait. More than an hour. We left and went to the Corner Pug down the street. Unfortunately they had a rude hostess that didn't have any room to put a high chair for our 9 month old daughter....Strike two. Getting pretty hungry after two failures, we completely threw in the towel and went to a place where we knew there would be no wait and plenty of room for a high chair. We ended up having a great family dinner. The guy who looked like he was the manager was very nice and everything came out perfect. It was certainly unexpected to have our Saturday night family dinner at Burger King, but I'm really glad we did.

You come here if you want custom made burgers, fries and milkshakes. There is one salad on their menu. You can also swap a burger for a turkey burger or a black bean burger. They do a very good job with their black bean burgers - they have a nice crisp to them, not soggy. And if you want to go healthy, go for the lettuce wrap and save the bun calories for their fries. Their fries look handcut. Their sweet potato fries and delicious and what's gives this place its 4th star in my book. The downside? The Cost!! Two burgers and fries and two drinks will cost you north of $30! I only take my kids here for special treats. At that price I can take them to a casual restaurant like chili's and get them twice the food. Summary - if you are willing to dish out the cash for a better than average burger and some crispy sweet potato fries, then try this place out.

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars

I've brought countless people from friends to parents to in-laws to Plan B and everyone likes it. Yesterday I scarfed up a custom double smash burger to which I added the blue cheese sauce (tasty) with a big side of disco tots. My wife had the MOAB (mother of all burgers/big Mac knockoff) with the hand cut fries. Those fries were REALLY GOOD, I might have to switch from my beloved tots next time. There's just a few downsides I would like to share-they could really use one of those heater things by the front door, that keeps the cold air out. If you're not sitting in the bar, but at a booth on the left side, you will get a blast of cold air whenever someone enters or exits the joint. Also, I saw at least 3 Uber Eats types waiting a long time to pick up delivery orders. They should speed that up if possible.

Over time, the menu has diversified a bit and there's salads and vegetarian options as well. Lately, I've opted for the burger salad, but you can't go wrong choosing otherwise. Also, they always have an expansive draft beer list so it's fun to try new ones. They bring you a bowl of dill pickle slices to compliment the "burger" theme, but if I had one wish, it would be for Plan B to go back to the awesome pickle wedges from years ago. PS. There's ample outside seating for nice days :-)

This was my second time at the market so it was my job to give another one of the vendors a try and that vendor was the Meltdown Grill this time around. This place has a stacked menu of hot dogs, cheesesteaks, melts, and burgers with an insane amount of options for all of the above. I was feeling a little feisty and self deprecating, so I ended up order the two hot dog combo with curly fries and it was a decision I would reflect on for months to come. For hot dogs, I ended up ordering the Mac Attack (Macaroni & Cheese + Bacon) and the chili cheese dog (self explanatory). Both hot dogs were absolutely delicious and everything I could possibly want out of a hot dog afternoon (some days just need to be hot dog afternoons). The curly fries rounded out a pretty good lunch and were exactly what I was craving, very very good food. Overall, Meltdown Grill is a wonderful addition to the Parkville Market and I very much look forward to trying a burger from here on a future visit to Connecticut. Hungry? Get over here and dig in.
