I'm a retired advertising and marketing guy. I have been impressed with the new television commercials the Burger King CEO is doing, particularly, promoting the Whopper. I'm not a fast-food guy but thought I would support Burger King and try the new Whopper. The only thing whopper about the Whopper is the price $9.23! I was surprised. Nothing special to report, the last Whopper I had 20 years ago was just as good. I wasn't wowed but I wasn't disappointed. I would rather just spend a little more and get an Old Village Grill burger, which are outstanding. read more

The cashier had no idea what he was doing and didn't care. No one cares here. Go somewhere else. The guy had a name tag at the front with no name on it and didn't know where any of the buttons are. He wasn't new either. He has been here for awhile. Tall, stockier guy. Also why is the side door always lovjed ? Isn't that a fire department violation. As usual, our food order was accurate and the service was fast. This location underwent an interior remodel during COVID, and while it is now more modern-looking, they eliminated probably 30% of the seating to give it a more airy, open feeling without the plastic bench seats. Not a problem for take-out, but if you want to dine-in, the seating is somewhat limited. They also removed the self-serve soft drink dispenser and you have to now ask staff for a refill, which I'm not sure the purpose of, unless they found customers (or the homeless) were coming in and abusing it by filling old cups or their own containers? Or maybe to just avoid the mess that customers make of the drink station? While taking our food to our table, we accidentally spilled an entire drink on the floor and one of the younger staff (young Asian guy) was super cool about it and immediately mopped it up with zero fuss or attitude. This was much appreciated. If you're hankering for a Whopper or one of their other new sandwiches, this location is conveniently located, has easy parking, and has been consistent with the food preparation for several years. read more

I wanted a bacon royal crispy chicken sandwich they gave me an ordinary hamburger. No bacon no chicken completely different burger.

I got a $15 gift card through my employer but this BK location is unable to redeem it bc they are unable to manually put the number into their POS system. The woman at the register told me I need a physical gift card to be swiped. What good is this gift card if it cannot be used? Guess I have to go to a different BK to try to redeem it. read more

It's back open with better remodel but staff is either not trained or bad choices for who they hired. Cashier didn't greet me but just looked at me. Then handed me a receipt and didn't say anything. Almost made you feel violated! Rude. No people skills. The fact that he was handling money and also putting his fingers inside the french fry containers was pretty gross too. Terrible customer service. I'm standing at the front counter for a few minutes and the employee working in the back just ignores the fact that I and the line building up behind me is present. I finally had to say something and she calls an employee out of an office. I had placed an online order 22 minutes prior to arriving and it wasn't even close to being ready. Its breakfast time and I ordered sausage biscuits. But guess what, no biscuits are ready. I'm pretty sure this is considered a fast food restaurant. I could've sat down at a restaurant and received faster , better service. The employees have no sense of urgency. The manager Gustavo had no apologies or idea of customer service etiquette. It's Burger King, you know what your getting but if you have time constraints or your in a rush, do t stop here. You may have to jump the counter and cook your own food. read more

Coming from a family where my mother is a Wendy's fan and dad is torn between McDonald's and Burger King, I don't often get to go to Burger King. At least when you go to a chain restaurant, you generally know what you are in for and the quality is pretty standard across the board. Stopped by here for quick snack while in the neighborhood and was received with really great friendly service especially during this time. I was going to order some fries and the cashier let me know of a deal that was going on and then helped me through the order and even served my drink. Very courteous easy-going and speedy food. So disappointed. The girl at the front taking the orders was rude and rolled her eyes at us. The ladies in the back making the food seem much nicer. The food was so bad we couldn't even eat it. 5 stars for a Burger King? Are you nuts? Yeah, I am pleasantly surprised. First, there is no drive through. That's crazy right there. And tbh, the cashier wasn't the best, but I think she was new. Anyway, why a 5? Manager was great, food was delivered fast even though it was lunch rush, it was clean, and we were upgraded a hamburger for free for the delay at the register. They offered to throw us a combo to make it cheaper, but we don't like the fries, so I'll pay more to not waste food. In short, expectations were exceeded. For a fast food place to upgrade, be fast, and give you a smile, that's pretty good and worth 5 stars to me!! read more

I was in SLO but not hungry until 9:45pm. What to do? Not a lot of choices at that time, as the side walks are usually rolled up by 9:30pm. There is always fast food, right? Time for BK! This Burger King is in the Laguna Village shopping center (Long's Drugs and Spencer's Fresh Market). It is fairly clean with a newer style design, in more neutral tones of avocado, slate, and cranberry colors, with a decorative divider wall between the tables and the counter. BK has several new menu items, like their little burger sliders that are cute as little puppies or babies (according to the TV commercial) or, they have a 2 for $3 special for the current recession. This is where you can get 2 Whoppers or 2 other sandwiches for $3.00! This place also has a new double fountain apparatus, streamline with a curvature to its selections. I haven't eaten at Burger King in a long time and it is one of my favorites. I was pretty hungry and ordered a number 2 the Texas burger. Unfortunately, we are in an environment where we need to get in and out quickly - no drive thru. I didn't check the bag and didn't get the Texas burger. I suppose it was a whopper I don't know. That's not my biggest concern. The manager seemed like a nice guy and was on his job but my concern is no mask or gloves. Regardless of handling my food he did handle my drink. Second concern was a worker that was cleaning equipment in full gloves and mask wearing both appropriately. Unfortunately, he went to handle my bag and food with his mask pulled down below his nose. Very concerning and I almost left my food. Thinking back I should have. I asked the young man to cover his nose and he basically looked at me and said whatever in his actions. He never covered his nose. Remember the mask is for the customers protection. Are we training the employees well enough so they understand fully? The food was fine and who knows? I placed an order on Uber eats for Burger King. About 30mins into waiting for my order I get a notification that my order was cancelled by Burger King! When I went to look as to why it was cancelled the email said the the restaurant was now closed but yet it was still business hours. I even googled to see what the hours were. I came here for a late night dinner after working at the mid state fair. i got myself the double stacker meal. I dont normally come to BKs, and it has been awhile since ive ate at one and even longer since ive had the Stacker. One word, "disappointed". When all my friends say "Let's go to BK," they don't mean "let's go eat there," it means "let's go hang out behind there." I've only bought one thing here once, and that's the ice cream. I know that most don't give a burger king five stars, but I must say that this was one of the best burger kings I have ever been too. The food was all right, but the service was superb. I want to thank Jose, Saul, Jimmy, and David (Pablo) for making my experience amazing. I came in and ended up being unable to start my car, they not only tried to help me jump it, they went so far as helping me to try and pop the clutch by pushing me through the parking lot. My husband just left this Burger King and will never go back again. The person that took his order got a little huffy with my husband when he was confirming prices. The tall girl with black hair and lots of eye makeup gave my husband his food and offered dipping sauces to him. He asked what kind. She sighed heavily and rattled them off. Just your standard Burger King. If you aren't from SLO you should note that restaurants in the city can't have drive throughs. They have one of those touch screen soda machines where you can choose from about 100 different types of soda. Knuckle head crew on night of 12/23. They gave me a whopper with pickles when I asked for no pickles. I asked for a regular cheese burger with no cheese. Burger king is one of the few fast food junk places that are left on this side of town. How ever there are lots of choices in the area during lunch hour. There is Upper crust, Shusi place, Nautica bean, Taco Roco, Laguna grill, Subway, Pizza Nova, a Mongolian restaurant, and even Spencers has a bakery, hat foods and sandwiches. On 2/20/11 at aorund 2:00 pm my sister and I decided to get Subway. Unfortunatrly they don't take bills over Fiffty and I was recomended by a costumer to go to Burger King to break the bill. There I went. The women with short curly black hear, ligth skin, and about 5' 5" had me stand there. No greetings or a welcome to Burger King. Or at least I'll be with you in a moment. Nothing. I stood there ignored. As I try to ask her casualy if she would break the bill. I extended my arm with bill an hand. She responded very anoyed we don't break bills. I froze for an instant and atempted to apoligase by leting her know that I was refer by a Subway costumer to come in. Right away she fallowed agresively with Are you buying something? becouse we don't break bills. And again Only if you buy something. Her coment sounded more of a comend. It felt like the comand was get out if you are not buying. It was shocking to be trated in such a horrible way. I froze for about 5 seconds. My arm was still extended. Such unaceptable tratment. At that point this was not about the bill anymore. Forget Breaking the bill. This is wrong tratment. Then I asked for a number where I could call to report a complaint. She responded, "WHAT?" I can't believe you. You are not buying but you would repot?. Gime me the bill " I'll BREAK IT". At that piont she grabs the bill. At that point I asked her to think about it. Adviced her that I would find a way to report it. Then told her, " You don't have to break the bill. Then she falowed, "I can't believe people like you". "HERE" she then places $50 dollars on the counter. I turned arownd and decided not to ever come back again. I will share my experiencewith friends and family. for sure. One employee can make or break your busines depending on their customer service skills. I came in hoping I would get my $50 dollar bill broken into smoller bills.
