The gravy was luke warm. All-in-all it was fast food at its typical. Just marginal. Now the wait was ridiculous. We pulled into the drive-thru at 7:00 PM and did not get to the speaker until 7:20 PM and then it took until 7:41 to actually get to the service window and wait for our order. I understand that they are buy in the evening and you cannot predict extremely large orders but c'mon, 45 minutes? I could have gone to a sit down restaurant. The staff was distant and uncommunicative. I will state that one extra tender was placed in both orders and the young man at the window did apologize for the wait (even though he didn't even look at me). Well-this time I was stranded with no way of getting something to eat. I was Doggo-sitting my son's…read more4 (YEP 4!!!) dogs Saturday /Sunday and by Sunday, mid afternoon -I was pretty hungry. My daughter-in-law had gotten a new refrigerator right before they left for vacation so there was barely anything in it. They have a wonderful pantry and I ate a Ramen out of the pantry Saturday night for supper but just couldn't find anything. I was hungry for in there on Sunday. Anyway, I was hunting some food to have delivered on Sunday. I had never even ordered takeout from any place in Taylor or Hutto and it took me a while to find something that could accommodate all my needs -but Randy's Icehouse to the rescue!! The first time I ate there I had my grandsons with me and we all had burgers along with some fries and onion rings we shared and everything was delicious and cooked to order. Yesterday, I chose a Chicken Fried Steak dinner with a baked potato , a side of mushrooms and a side salad. I enjoyed the CFS once I removed most of the breading (don't get me wrong. It was nice and crispy-I just wasn't in the mood for it) it was easy to remove, and the steak itself was cooked properly, there was cream gravy to go over it, and I ate it with my canned Mushrooms on the side. My Baked Potato was on the small side, but it was delicious and all the logical condiments like shredded cheese, sour cream, & butter were all included (in little cups) so I could use what and how much of those I wanted. It also came with a slice of Texas Toast and a Side Salad, which was freshly chopped lettuce with bacon, and croutons, and had the blue cheese dressing I had ordered on the side. Even without the breading on the meat, I was full before I ever made it to the Texas toast. I focused on the chicken fried steak, the gravy and the baked potato. It was all very good. Not sure why, but I didn't care for the mushrooms too much , I knew they would be canned, but they had a little bit of a tinny flavor so I ate a couple of those, but then left the rest. The blue cheese dressing was great, not sure if it was homemade, but there were small chunks of blue cheese evident, which I appreciated. Because I had filled up on my steak and potato I only ate about a third of the salad. The only thing I missed was the woman who was our server last time I went with my grandsons -as she was very pleasant and nice to talk to! I'm very grateful they were open on the Fourth of July weekend and even more grateful that Toast was able to deliver it to me out at my son's house-which I consider to be in the boonies -but then a lot of Taylor /Coupland area is! Looks like this is going to be my go to place if I need some good home cooking out that way!! If you haven't been it's worth the drive!!!

My wife had ordered the chicken ziti Alfredo with spinach while I was at work. 3 hours after the food had arrived and I went to open the container, I half expected the top to be covered in grease and the food cold. That has been the experience with other Italian restaurants as well. I would say it's due to not using an abundance of oil and the authentic ingredients that made it so delicious! 10 out of 10 and will do again!

Not sure, but felt like the woman at the window/cashier might have been the manager. If not, maybe she should be due to her efficient, kind manner in taking our order and the outstanding customer service. We'll definitly stop here again when we are in town. I stopped by to redeem a birthday treat that Dairy Queen had sent to me and was only told after placing my order that they would not accept it. What disappointed me most wasn't the policy itself, it was how the situation was handled. When I asked about redeeming the reward, the manager responded with, "We don't honor that. If you want free stuff, try Hutto." The comment felt dismissive and unnecessary, especially when I was simply trying to use a reward that Dairy Queen had provided. The manager made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable or trying to get "free stuff". In the end, it's my choice not to return, but it was the manager's choice to lose a customer, and my family's business over a birthday treat and a disappointing customer service experience.
