Deborah and I went to lunch here today because it was close to the Audi dealership where we turned her car back in and she has always liked it so often we went. The part we liked is parking is super easy and big, there's outside dining and inside dining so if you want to take advantage of a nice day this is a good spot. Service today was OK, the order was taken, and when it was delivered, it looked pretty. It just tasted different than the menu inferred. It would taste. My wife's Italian was super spicy, my chicken sandwich didn't really have much flavor. When I say the chips were the best thing we had that's not great. When we left, I tried to get a box but most of the employees were sitting at tables eating their lunch. I mean, everyone gets to have lunch so I don't mean that they shouldn't eat lunch just struck me as odd that no one was buying the counter. Definitely should have looked at reviews prior to ordering online. I went online and ordered a smoked ham and Swiss cheese sandwich 26th Lay's Kettle Chips and a coke. I also ordered an enchilada soup with half a turkey sandwich with Lay's Kettle chips and a dragonfruit Arnold palmer. I waited inside and the guy asked me if u was waiting an online order while helping the customers. Tight that was cool of him siince I didn't mind waiting. The place had a dark ambiance but the furniture was nice. Where i waited, the table was dirty. I noticed they pick up your plates here since i didn't see any trash cans. They use real silverware. And it's nice that they have an outside seating area. He gave me my ordered and before leaving i went to grab spoons, napkins, and condiments. In my search, there were no utensils to take. I got the coke by myself. I figured they had to put napkins and a spoon in the bag because it was an online order for pick up. I get inside my car and drive to the dealership. I'm starving and I'm waiting for my mom to come. She gets undue the car and I open the bag and there are no spoons. I didn't grab a spoon when I was there because I didn't see any available. The turkey sandwich was good though. But lo and behold, I'm missing a second bag of chips. Why is this order almost $40 & wrong?? My mom gave me her chips and I munched on them while drinking my Arnold palmer. The drink was great. So, I like the breakfast options, even though chain restaurants leave a lot to be desired. I like the chilled oats with berries mostly, it's a nice change, although the amount you get has been cut in half recently. I do get pissed off every time I go because they're the last remaining company that keeps sugar etc for coffee behind the counter. So inconvenient, so ridiculous. I visited my Corner Bakery in Carlsbad, Ca., which I do a couple times a week, and the employee at the cash register handed me a round yellow coffee cup with a weird smiley face on it. She said that whenever I bring the cup in, my coffee would be free. I like free stuff. But... In order to bring the cup in to the restaurant, I would have to carry it in my truck. Being the cup is glass and breakable (dumb decision on CB's part), it wouldn't fare well in my truck. Being it is round and doesn't fit a cup holder (really dumb decision on CB's part), I would have to toss it in the center console, where it would break on day one. I did try the cup while I had my breakfast, and I found that the shape is rounded at the top, causing the coffee to drip down your chin and onto your shirt. Embarrassing. Probably the reason that no one ever designs a coffee cup in that shape. I was just wondering who the moron was that chose this very special coffee cup that Corner Bakery is using to generate more business? I enjoy meeting ridiculously stupid people, they're so entertaining. We're missing our mac and cheese with our order, we ordered croutons on the side and they we're thrown in the soup anyway, ordered extra french bread advertised as two pieces which was extra. We were given the two pieces but are missing the bread that comes with the other pasta orders, and the coffee we ordered definitely wasn't Caramel Macchiato. Alot of these restaurants don't put care into their to go orders and this is by far the worst mess up for me this year. Their prices don't match their service at all! The food seemed really expensive but the breakfast wrap was reasonably priced ($8.50ish), so I ordered it with a drink. I was craving a wrap and this hit the spot but it's wasn't the best thing I've ever had. Decent for a chain restaurant. Pretty basic (eggs, cheese, avo and spinach) but nicely balanced. Giving it 3 stars because the inside was dreary and kind of messy. The service was fine but nothing to write home about. The BBLT Sandwich included: the oven Roasted Turkey, 4 slices of the crispy Applewood Bacon, sliced Tomatoes, Lettuce, 2 added slices of the Yellow Cheddar Cheese, the extra charge is 75 cents, 4 slices of the Avocados, this extra charge is $2.00. I selected the (20 ounces) of the regular size Sprite Soft Drink is one of my favorite soft drinks. The price is $20.49. My (second order) I wanted to order a dessert. I love Lemon flavored desserts. I ordered the one quantity of the Sweet and Tangy Lemon Bar with the Confectioner's Sugar that is sprinkled on top for this added flavor. The price is $4.99. I also ordered the New Cold Brew Coffee. The flavor I ordered was the one medium size cup of the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Iced Coffee. The price is $5.09. The subtotal is $30.57. The delivery fee is usually $2.99 but it was waived and I was not charged a fee because I am signed up still for this FREE Door Dash Pass Service for one month until the end of this February 28, 2022. I've seen this before next to the roadrunner athletic shop but haven't been. I was hungry, so I stopped in. There was no one at the counter to greet customers.. but to be fair, it was mid afternoon . I perused the menu, which was good-sized and decided on my order. A polite young man took my order, and I seated myself. There was easy listening music overhead with Doobie brothers playing Black Water..food came up pretty quickly, and I was happy with the size and quality of the club panini.. and fresh fruit cup . the half sandwiches and soup or salad looked good also, so next time, I need to check them out. Food: Stopped in for afternoon snacks today, strawberry lemonades along with chocolate muffin, cinnamon crunch muffin, and chocolate croissant. I loved each bakery item! My mom really enjoyed the fresh strawberry lemonade. Food was ready quickly, tasted fresh. Service: wonderful service! It's so easy to use rewards here and I love that they always greet you and make it a pleasant experience. The restuarant is super clean and quiet too! The Corner Bakery was a breakfast go to for eggs and toast. But this place isn't what it used to be. The tables are all sticky, they never seemed to be wiped down, the chairs and floors are full of crumps. As you eat you have to hear an alarm go off every other minute as other customers are getting notified their meal is ready. That alarm is annoying!!! The potatoes are undercooked with a rubbery texture. As we ate we stared out the window watching sparrows and crows eat the left over food on the outdoor tables that were never picked up the whole time we were there. (That's where the good ends) Unfortunately, the portions they served were an absolute joke (as you can see via the picture I've posted) and didn't even remotely resemble an entree, let alone the price I was charged! Overall I find the food to be satisfying and the service good enough. I appreciate that I can place an order on the app and its generally ready when I get there.
