CHICKEN POMODORI panini (grilled chicken, provolone, basil, spinach, oven-roasted tomatoes, and pesto aioli on grilled sourdough)
    Scott T.

we don't often get out for breakfast much because of our staggered and hectic morning schedules. I've usually been up a couple of hours writing by the time my seventeen-year old drags his butt into the weight room, and it's a couple of hours after that before my wife staggers into the kitchen for a cup of coffee. she's more of a night person. anyway, while my new knee's on the mend, my enthusiasm for spending the morning in front of the stove has waned. one Saturday the boy slept in (late night with his crew) and the wife was on her way home from an early notary, she texted and asked if I wanted her to pick up breakfast. not sure what everybody else had (two weeks post surgery I ate in bed) but my CHICKEN POMODORI (panini grilled sourdough chicken sandwich with provolone, basil, spinach, oven-roasted tomatoes, and pesto aioli) was pretty darn good.

I woke up looking forward to Corner Bakery's good ole fashion oatmeal as I waited for my car to get serviced at a nearby dealership. There was a wait when I placed my order. I thought oatmeal was something easy to put together. I wondered what was the hold up. Finally, someone called my name. As I was stirring the contents, I suddenly lost my appetite when I noticed a plastic lid container was left on the bottom of my hot oatmeal bowl. I returned it with the quickness and asked for a refund. :-(

So, I like the breakfast options, even though chain restaurants leave a lot to be desired. I like the chilled oats with berries mostly, it's a nice change, although the amount you get has been cut in half recently. I do get pissed off every time I go because they're the last remaining company that keeps sugar etc for coffee behind the counter. So inconvenient, so ridiculous. I visited my Corner Bakery in Carlsbad, Ca., which I do a couple times a week, and the employee at the cash register handed me a round yellow coffee cup with a weird smiley face on it. She said that whenever I bring the cup in, my coffee would be free. I like free stuff. But... In order to bring the cup in to the restaurant, I would have to carry it in my truck. Being the cup is glass and breakable (dumb decision on CB's part), it wouldn't fare well in my truck. Being it is round and doesn't fit a cup holder (really dumb decision on CB's part), I would have to toss it in the center console, where it would break on day one. I did try the cup while I had my breakfast, and I found that the shape is rounded at the top, causing the coffee to drip down your chin and onto your shirt. Embarrassing. Probably the reason that no one ever designs a coffee cup in that shape. I was just wondering who the moron was that chose this very special coffee cup that Corner Bakery is using to generate more business? I enjoy meeting ridiculously stupid people, they're so entertaining. I'd love to meet the moron, maybe have breakfast, and a free cup of coffee in a breakable round coffee cup with a smiley face on it that drips on your shirt.

Avocado & Spinach Breakfast Wrap (V)

I had time to kill while my car got serviced and was starving... so I gave corner bakery a shot. The food seemed really expensive but the breakfast wrap was reasonably priced ($8.50ish), so I ordered it with a drink. I was craving a wrap and this hit the spot but it's wasn't the best thing I've ever had. Decent for a chain restaurant. Pretty basic (eggs, cheese, avo and spinach) but nicely balanced. Giving it 3 stars because the inside was dreary and kind of messy. The service was fine but nothing to write home about. I'd come back here if I was in a pickle but not going to go out of my way to eat here again.

    BBLT Sandwich.
    Frances D.

I really enjoy eating the Corner Bakery Cafe Food on their menu, especially their delicious sandwiches, pastas, desserts, iced coffee and soft drinks. I placed my online order from this FREE Door Dash Pass Service. I ordered (3 Items) from the Corner Bakery Cafe today. My (first order) was the BBLT (Bacon, Balsamic, Lettuce & Tomato) Panini Sandwich. The BBLT Sandwich included: the oven Roasted Turkey, 4 slices of the crispy Applewood Bacon, sliced Tomatoes, Lettuce, 2 added slices of the Yellow Cheddar Cheese, the extra charge is 75 cents, 4 slices of the Avocados, this extra charge is $2.00. The Black Pepper Balsamic with the Aioli Spread on the two slices of the Mother's (White) Bread on a warm toasted Panini Sandwich. Included with this order, I get to choose one soft drink. I selected the (20 ounces) of the regular size Sprite Soft Drink is one of my favorite soft drinks. The price is $20.49. My (second order) I wanted to order a dessert. I love Lemon flavored desserts. I ordered the one quantity of the Sweet and Tangy Lemon Bar with the Confectioner's Sugar that is sprinkled on top for this added flavor. The price is $4.99. I also ordered the New Cold Brew Coffee. The flavor I ordered was the one medium size cup of the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Iced Coffee. The price is $5.09. The subtotal is $30.57. The delivery fee is usually $2.99 but it was waived and I was not charged a fee because I am signed up still for this FREE Door Dash Pass Service for one month until the end of this February 28, 2022. The service fee is normally $4.59 but I was only charged the fee of $1.53. I received a great discounted price for me being on this FREE Door Dash Pass Service. The sales tax was $2.37. The dasher tip that was chosen for me already for Harley. I agreed to pay Harley this really expensive tip for $9.00 due to my home is really a long commute from the Corner Bakery Cafe. My total bill was $43.47. This total cost was charged to my credit card bill today. I received a text message alert from the Door Dash.com delivery service telling me that Harley this woman has picked up my order at the Corner Bakery Cafe at11:26 a.m. Then this Door Dash.com text messaged me again and this customer service rep. told me that Harley is on her way driving to my house and she will arrive at my home to deliver my (3 Items order) at 12:08 p. m. Harley arrived on time and I opened up my front door to receive my order from Harley. Harley was very friendly to me when she handed me my order at my front door. I talked to Harley fora few minutes. Harley told me she is from Colorado but she has worked as a Door Dash delivery driver for 2 years now. Harley said she enjoys her job. I brought my order from the Corner Bakery Cafe into my house and then I started to unpack my (4 Items) order. I placed the BBLT Sandwich on a plate with the one regular size Sprite Soft Drink and the one medium size cup of the New Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Iced Coffee on my dining room table. I got ready to eat this BBLT Sandwich. This BBLT Sandwich was really delicious and very flavorful. I love Applewood Bacon strips in my sandwiches. My dessert I ate the Sweet and Tangy Lemon Bar. It has a lightly sweet yet a tart flavor at the same time with the added confectioner's sugar it is a great combination. This Sweet and Tangy Lemon Bar was very really delicious. it is worth the price. The Sprite Soft drink is very refreshing and has a lemon and lime flavor. The New Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Iced Coffee is very good and I enjoyed drinking this New Cold Brew Vanilla Sweet Cream Iced Coffee. I received excellent customer service from my Door Dash Delivery Service from Harley and I also ate really delicious food from the Corner Bakery Cafe. .

I've seen this before next to the roadrunner athletic shop but haven't been. I was hungry, so I stopped in. There was no one at the counter to greet customers.. but to be fair, it was mid afternoon . I perused the menu, which was good-sized and decided on my order. A polite young man took my order, and I seated myself. There was easy listening music overhead with Doobie brothers playing Black Water..food came up pretty quickly, and I was happy with the size and quality of the club panini.. and fresh fruit cup . the half sandwiches and soup or salad looked good also, so next time, I need to check them out. Outdoor patio seating is also available, so that is tempting if you have a pet.Good first impression!

Very impressed with my delivery order! They have a family meal online which was a great price, and when it arrived they got everything correct even down to the sauces. Mac and cheese was very creamy and so delicious, large portion too! Both sandwiches were fantastic and packed with fresh ingredients and flavor. The salad was also very fresh and wonderful, the vinaigrette was a little spicy though! Overall absolutely delicious meal for a fantastic price, I will definitely order from here again!

Honestly one of my favorite locations of this chain and always a stop when I'm at Carslbad Outlets! Food: Stopped in for afternoon snacks today, strawberry lemonades along with chocolate muffin, cinnamon crunch muffin, and chocolate croissant. I loved each bakery item! My mom really enjoyed the fresh strawberry lemonade. Food was ready quickly, tasted fresh. Service: wonderful service! It's so easy to use rewards here and I love that they always greet you and make it a pleasant experience. The restuarant is super clean and quiet too! There's both indoor and outdoor seating with restrooms available for customers. Parking: There's a parking lot right in front with plenty of spots. This is a family friendly restuarant and definitely worth stopping by!

Well the coffee is good. This location is across the street from the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. It is busy. But the food we had, the Breakfast Croissant, seemed microwaved. The croissant was chewy, doughy, but it should have been flakey. With a name like "Corner bakery," one would expect the breads to be exceptionally perfect. The cinnamon roll was excellent.

bell pepper panini is always so delicious.

I asked for extra feta (and didn't mind paying for it), and they didn't disappoint. No complaints about the food. Now the not-so-great part... The service was slow. Like... noticeably slow. I sat there waiting long enough to start debating if I should just pay for my drink and go somewhere else. The pastries are definitely on the higher-priced side and we weren't too hungry, so we opted for the strawberry croissant since it was the last one left. The strawberry croissant had some vanilla cream along with strawberry slices in the center cut of the croissant. The cream was nice, light, and not overly sweet, which tasted great with the strawberry. The croissant was a little disappointing, as it wasn't flaky, very dense, and on the softer side. It still had a good buttery flavor but overall it was mid. As we continued eating, I ended up chewing on something plasticky, and I believe it might have been the front cut of a plastic piping bag. I'm glad it was a fairly small piece or else I probably would have swallowed it...It is disappointing that a big piece of plastic ended up in the cream where no one had caught it during the process of making it.

It's tough to get a table for a weekend noon. I booked our reservation a few weeks ahead of time. Parking is either near the train tracks across the street or on the curb. We got the egg dish and salad bowl. The yogurt for the eggs was deliciously spiced; dipping in the toasted bread into the gooey poached egg, creamy yogurt, and herbs was delicious! My issue with this dish were the herbs that were too large. Was I expected to stick a big piece of herb on my toast? The dish is saucy with the chili oil so my clothes were dirty with the oil covered herbs. Chop the herbs smaller for practicality! Another dish suffered from the execution. We got the bowl which I thought was going to be a grain bowl. Rather, it was a ridiculously-sized salad--as much leaves as a pack from the grocery store! There were toppings within like slices of avocado, pieces of orange, farro, and nuts. I felt like I was trying to treasure hunt to look for these pieces. The salad was comically oversized. It was dressed fine but suffered from the portion size. You could see this theme with the French toast too where you get 1/3 of a baked bread. I'm honestly confused by this chef who has amazing experience. Why do you construct dishes that are difficult and impractical to eat? Less is more. These dishes need extensive edits. How this place got Bib Gourmand is honestly surprising to me.
