Post St George WC 70.3. Was so hungry. Saw this on yelp and didn't know it is a chain and in the Holiday Inn. Cute place super busy. Did take a bit to get a drink but overall service was good. Several TVs. Full bar n beers. Burger was great and loved the onion ring. Bun was really good too. Would reco and visit again.

My simple burger with blue cheese. Good burger, nothing special.

Came on Labor Day and there was only a few other parties there so plenty of distancing. Didn't notice any COVID issues. It's the typical non fast food burger chain like Red Robin. Either you can select from some premade choices or build your own. Prices are a little high, but not too bad. The meal will leave you full. Overall we enjoyed our burgers but there wasn't any wow factor to them; nothing to make us rush back.

Breakfast room delivery is nice !

We tried their room service in the morning, food comes right on time and hot and fresh. They only have two option for their breakfast room service menu, which is a little bit disappointed, I hope they can put more choice on the menu, But overall, delicious and convenient. And they only add 4$ delivery fee and additional 20% as the tip, good price!

    The Classic Burger

Overall had a great experience at this place. I wasn't expecting it to be in a hotel, but non the less it was still a fun place to eat. I would compare the burger to Five Guys. The portions were good and the service wasn't bad either. It was slow when we went and our server was efficient despite also having to bartend! It was a little to dark in there for me, but I would still go back because the food was great!

Good food. It's a little pricey, but it is a hotel restaurant (supply & demand). We would eat here again!

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. Parthee, thank you for your compassion and for helping create a beautiful moment for our family during a difficult season of life. We are so grateful, and we will never forget it.

We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.

Strap Tank Brewery is a great place to grab lunch or dinner in St George, Utah…read more I noticed this place last time when I drove by it, and really liked the building and made sure I didn't miss it next time around. Today, happened to be, I had a quick trip to St George and I went to grab a quick bite before heading back to Vegas. It was between lunch and dinner, so the place wasn't packed at all. Hostess offered a seat by the bar or in the dining room. I picked the dining room. Waiter came over quickly, took my order, then returned with water and my Pepsi. Then a few minutes later he came back with the sandwich which was French Dip with Fries. The sandwich was more like a cheese steak sandwich, I noticed, but it was tasty enough to eat it, and didn't bother me much. Although, I picked out the spicy peppers from it, and the waiter asked me if I wanted it to remake the sandwich, but it was really fine. I only took out the spicy peppers, because I don't eat spicy food at all. That's all. I told him that I think it's really a cheesesteak sandwich, and he said that this is how they make the French Dip in this restaurant. I didn't make a big deal about it. As I said before, it was tasty and I ate it. He refilled my Pepsi. Got my check, paid, and left. This Brewery is worth visiting, because it looks really cool! The building itself is huge, very authentic with lots of great decorations. Waiter told me to check out upstairs because it's more than just a restaurant and a bar, it has lots of items displayed, very interesting stuff, nicely decorated!

Based on that alone, I would give this place a 5, but unfortunately, everything else was below par. The service was slow, as was every other restaurant in St. George. I ordered a Manhattan, and lo and behold, I received some type of smoked old fashioned. When I asked for a new one, Dom, our waiter, said, "Sure, but you'll probably just get the same thing." That surprised me, and I was like, "Go talk to the bartender and see if they can make it." But Dom was pretty certain that, I'd get the same thing. So I ordered something else, and it came out fine. Dom, while new, was not a very good waiter and could use some more training in customer service and in cocktails. His attitude completely ruined the night.

The service is impeccable, and training that has been given to the staff shows with everything they do. Their service is really that good. My problem is with the food and the poor plating. Normally everything tastes absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately, lately we have been going on Sundays when the chef is not there due to our schedule. The last time I went, I think we found Jimmy Buffett's lost shaker of salt in my Gorgonzola topping for my steak. It was so salty I actually had to scrape the topping off just to stomach it, and eventually just stopped eating altogether because it hurt my tongue so bad. It's been 24 hours since I tried to eat their food, and my tongue still has cracks in it and hurts to move. That is an abnormally large amount of salt. The "Flambé" wasn't just a little salty, this was clearly a salty mistake that was made in the kitchen, and they couldn't care less that it had happened. The crème brûlée was curdled and the staff had issues serving the wine. We ended up with no apologies, even after kindly and respectfully voicing our concerns. With so many better choices in St. George, I probably will not be coming back.

This place is located nearby the Convention Center in St George. Walked in and asked if it's a waiting time for a table. Hostess said "no, no waiting time" and I was seated immediately. Waitress came by, took my order. After a significant amount of time later, she appeared with my drink. I ordered the Strawberry Peach lemonade. Then, I was waiting for my dinner for a LONG time! It was pretty awkward, sitting by myself at the table. Luckily, I had my lemonade ... almost finished it and no refills ... I was thinking, how about if someone would be checking on me if I needed anything else to drink or maybe say something why my dinner was delayed more than 40 minutes ... well, nobody bothered. Hated to ask another waitress to come over and help me out to check on my food! Finally, my waitress showed up and asked me if I needed anything. Of course! I needed my dinner!!! Shortly after this conversation, she walked back to the kitchen and few minutes later I had my plate front of me. Sadly, the items were not fully heated up, at least not for my liking. My order was nothing extraordinary, it was the Easter Special: Ham and Turkey with mashed potatoes, green beans and stuffing. I ate most of it, except the stuffing. It was cold. I don't eat cold stuffing. Regardless, I paid for my meal and left. My waitress gave me a piece of pecan pie, sweetening my mood, before I left. Thank you! I just wanted a plate of food on Easter Sunday when I was on the road for work. That's all. It wasn't the best experience!
