I tried the Boss Burger and it was great. It was cooked perfect and had the right amount of cheese. It is a stuffed burger. I do feel that it could have had more bacon and less onion stuffed inside. Horrible service. I don't know about the food because after sitting there an hour they admitted to forgetting to put our order in and asked to take our order again. We paid for our flat beer and kids meals and left. Our one beer was flat. After watching them replace the keg we let them know our beer was flat. We were never offered a fresh beer. I have never written a Yelp review before, but this one just really got to me. After a full day in Zion, we checked into the Holiday Inn and we were so excited to see a restaurant in our hotel as we were so tired and it was just downstairs from our room. We got to Burger Theory and waited at least 15 minutes to get a table after we were ignored several times by our soon to be server. There was probably only 3 other tables with guests there. As she finally got to us she asked "Do you need something?" As we told her we needed a table, she directed to a dirty booth in which she poorly wiped off in front of us. We waited another 10 minutes until we finally received wet & sticky menus that she plopped on our table and walked away for quite a bit. She came back for drink orders, but since we were ordering alcohol she did have grab her coworker to take our drink order for us and seemed frustrated that she had to do that. When she was ready to take our food order, she seemed very bothered by the requests we had for our orders such as a substituted cheese on our Nachos lol. 30 minutes has gone by at this point and we still have not received our drinks. Another server noticed we didn't received them yet and questioned the server that was making drinks where they were and she said that the order was never received on her end. At that point we were over it and told them we didn't want our drinks anymore. They seemed to take it very personally, as she replied "you don't want them?" and walked away without an apology. After a total of at least 50 minutes of just sitting at our booth in this restaurant, we never even received our APPETIZER, let alone our food. It was a total waste of over an hour of our time and just got up and left to Red Robin. All in all, the service was trash and the communication between employees was also trash. When it is your job in customer service, the very least we expect is friendliness. Our server never came up to check on us during that time or apologized for the wait. read more

I have to say that this is a hidden gem in St George, We went to an event at the Dixie Center and decided to go across the street and try the Burger Theory located inside the Holiday Inn Express. What a surprise, best burger in St George by far. Great atmosphere and great staff, lots of beer choices both bottles and draft and you can bet we will be back very soon. read more

We were not impressed with the quality of the burgers here. My chicken burger was small and had only one or two small pieces of each topping like mushrooms, onion, etc. My husband's burger was average as well. The fries are heavy on the outer breading and greasy with little potato element to them. The kids cheeseburgers worked for what they were. The other odd thing was the seat height in the booths was way too low. My husband is 6'5" and I am 5'11" and we both felt like little kids. Not comfortable for your eating or social interactions. Prepare yourselves for the MOST mediocre burger you will ever partake of. I am a burger fan. Like I get one almost everywhere I go since I've been 12 (I'm now 25). I had a buy one get one free coupon and I'm so thankful ,otherwise 15 dollars a burger for a Denny's level burger would made me quite peeved. Delicious and great service. I had the Farm Fresh burger and it was very good, the meat and the fixings. The onion rings were perfectly done, crispy outside, cooked inside. Music was playing and it is a nice environment. It is not a bar, but they serve alcohol. The server was attentive and very nice. The food was below-average (I had chicken fingers and a salad - do not recommend either) and my server, Amanda, was very rude. When I was ordering, I asked her how much the side salad was. She said it was $3. When I got the bill, I saw that I was charged $4 for the salad. I said to Amanda, "I thought the salad was $3?" Her reply was, "I thought so too. But it's $4." When I asked her to change it, she said she couldn't do anything about it. When I persisted, telling her that I ordered the salad with false information, she said, "Fine, I'll pay the dollar." This off the beaten path restaurant is pretty dang good! My husband and I tried it the other day and we'll be back. He ordered "The Boss" and gave it 7 out of 10 stars saying it needed more bacon flavor. "For a patty that is stuffed with bacon I expect a punch of bacon flavor" he cited. I ordered "The Philly" and while the meat was tender, juicy and delicious I essentially ordered a mushroom swiss burger. I wish there was some sort of sauce on the burger buns and some bell peppers but the 'shrooms and chopped onions were good. We had some very good burgers at Burger Theory which was admittedly a surprise. The restaurant is located inside the new Holiday Inn Express in St George which threw us off a bit. We visited with low expectations because let's be honest, St George is not a restaurant mecca and we have been disappointed more than not. The weird and ridiculous liquor laws do not help new restaurants be successful. Burger Theory has a a full bar. Skip the watered down Utah style draft beer. They do have some full strength beer in bottles but our server was not sure which ones??? Typical Utah. We ordered red wine so we knew what we were getting. I tried the Lonestar burger and loved it. Great brioche style bun that was lightly toasted, a nice thick fried onion ring and some fantastic bacon. I opted for the single patty which is 4 ounces and it was plenty for me. You can get a double or triple patty burger if you are extra hungry. We both ordered fries with our burgers The fries were crispy and delicious. The amount of fries served was very generous. You can sub a salad for fries for only a $1 extra. The meat had a great grilled flavor. My husband opted for the build your own burger. There are other interesting menu items like salads and sandwiches if you are not in a burger mood. Vegetarian items are offered too. The prices are a bit high, but we both felt it was worth it. Service was a little lack luster. Only two people working and a big party walked in ahead of me that both had to set up for. I had to walk in to place our carry out order and wait as no one would answer the phone. Food was delicious!!!! But half of our order was wrong. One was supposed to be chicken and it was beef, ordered for someone who doesn't eat beef. And we ordered nachos that were supposed to be nacho chips, black beans, 2 cheeses and olives.... instead it was fries with nacho cheese and bacon bits?????
