Little "mini-brat". $2.75 (I think) but worth it for a sample of their brat. IT WAS GOOOD!!!
    Stacey S.

Finally stopped in for lunch. The garlic burger with cheese was really good! Def wasn't very garlicky but was good. Husband got the blue cheese burger. Had waaay too much sauce! (Lots of spicy mayo and too much blue cheese in our opinion). We took a bunch of sauce off of it and it was still very "blue- cheesy". Upgraded fries to truffle Parmesan fries and sauce which was awesome!! Tried the hot potato salad (also good) and a mini brat, which is about 2-3 bites but gives you an idea. That was excellent!!! All in all, it was great lunch at a local mom/pops place. We will definitely be back!

    17. Texas Highway Sandwich

Driving through an area that is full of big name restaurants, saw a 4.4 google review and thought we'd take a chance. Walking in, the restaurant is very dark and hot. We are in a Texas cold front and we had to ask that the fans be turned on, it was just so hot inside. There were zero customers inside. We were greeted and asked what we would like. I asked for a minute as it was our first time. We ordered a kids hotdog, a chicken sandwich meal w/onion rings, a cheese burger with a sunny side egg on top and another burger basket w/fries. Teens were manning the grill as well as the cash register and there was another person overseeing them. Customer service was great, that's why I gave them two stars. The food was barely a one star. My daughter loved her hot dog, she was the only one who finished her meal. The chicken was pounded out so very thin, I'm assuming to cook quickly but it was not seasoned and was charred so much that not even the guacamole (diced brown avocados) could save it. My husband ordered the sunny side egg burger, the egg was fried hard not sunny side up, once my husband explained it, a new egg was prepared but no seasoning on the burger, not even a runny egg could save it and it was thrown away. Saw the sign that the location was once voted on the best of Denton list, that had to have been a very long time ago.

Had my first dining experience today and have to say that it was not up to expectation. The food was so-so and serving size left some to be desired. Staffing was minimal (one person behind the counter), although pleasant to interact with during the ordering process, but once food was received, did not see the employee again. As for price, definitely did not feel like I received value for the money spent... could have gone to a sit-down restaurant for the same or less money. Unfortunately probably will not visit again.

Long and 4. The Long & Winding Road

First time here and it did not disappoint. We'd been looking for a classic burger joint after moving to Flower Mound in August and we've finally found it. I got the number 1. A simple classic burger with fries. My husband tried the smoked brats and as a German, approved! And my grown son got the Long and Winding road (pictured). We were told their cheesesteaks are amazing, but having had the OG actually IN Philly, we decided to wait and try that another time. My one and only critique is I wish they had onion rings as another side option. We will definitely be returning!

Had a hankering for a hot dog because - yea - don't grow up if ya can avoid it! Cool little spot that's a bit divy and fun on the inside. Hotdogs come with a side of potato salad and sauerkraut. First off I tried the potato salad, which I found a bit lackluster - though honestly good tater salad for one is not for another. This was more mayonnaise than mustard. Ordered the fries - cuz that goes with the hotdog. They serve shoestring fries which were quite good. now on to the main dish! The brats! They have Great brats and burgers! And of course if your having a German brain, gotta have sauerkraut! Fantastic! Highly recommend!

    Knackwurst (beef and pork combination)
    Syd G.

My first time here but I've heard about this place for years. Glad they've survived the pandemic. The interior is pretty plain but I quickly realized they save it all for the incredible cooking and sausages. I chose the Knackwurst (combo of pork and beef sausage) that comes with warm German salad and sauerkraut. The first bite I took was the authentic potato salad. WOW!!! If you like traditional warm German salad this is the eat I've had in years. Almost licked it clean it was so good. The sausage I had was very good. Once I found out it came from Fischer's Meat Market in Muenster....I knew why. Great food and good prices. I'll be back.

Regular burger with side salad and kraut

I have to downgrade my initial review from a few years ago. To be clear, the staff was very friendly and busy so this is not a reflection of the employees. The burger quality is not what they used to be - they are now either premade or just cooked poorly and without seasoning. The half pound burger and the quarter pound burger seemed exactly the same so either they messed up my order or their portioning is way off. Medium rare and well done are exactly the same. I was tempted to go three stars but the actual dining facility and operation was just not very polished. The dining room is cramped and frigid. The tables and things are a bit run down. The same employee taking the orders and payments also delivers food to the tables and also cleans tables when patrons leave. The burger and experience was just ok but I wouldn't go back nor would I recommend it unless you were curious about one of the brat type of menu items.

    Yuck

Just gross. I don't think they have cleaned this place since they opened. Dirty is the best word to use for this place. The burger is "meh", frozen patty and overcooked, extremely dry. The fries were better than the burger. One and done for me.

    Derrick M.

Well, I have to say I was disappointed. To start with, it just opened at 1700 and I arrived @ approximately 1725. Two other people were inside and that told me at the very least, it was edible. We were greeted by a young man and we ordered. I noticed the burger that was perfectly round and frozen...the gentleman on the grill did not have a hair net nor gloves; in fact he had a thick winter beanie hat on, which was odd! The order came quickly... (2) burger meals and a kids chicken "tender". Burgers were salty but hot and nice chew...Chicken was the cheap frozen, pre-breaded type that was horrible of course. Overall the meal was a basic burger worth one star. My biggest and most concerning gripe is given the fact that B&B had just opened, the floor was horribly filthy (see pics) and it felt like Antarctica inside. My final thought: Find another burger joint...Probably good thing I did not attempt a Brat.

    #20. The Usual

Lots of choices on the menu. Small place, but clean inside. The staff were very friendly and happy to take my order! The food was great and the brats were perfect! Definitely would go back.

    Eric B.

My pic pretty much says it all. They also have other stuff like dogs, salads , etc. but I have never made it passed the burgers. This is a small shop. Just walk in head through the tables and up to the counter. Service is friendly and the times I have been here I have not had an issue with my order or the taste . So I would recommend this for everyone to come by and at least try it once . Pro tip: Do not miss the alternative menu hanging on the wall behind you when you are making your order

I'm actually very glad we came here instead of the other places we had planned on going for lunch. When we went, it was not crowded and we got seated quickly. This place is fairly big, with plenty of tables and space. They also have a dedicated "beer garden" on one side of the restaurant. For food, i had to get jager schnitzel with spaetzle. My wife ended up getting duck. Before my food came out, they also brought out a salad. I don't know if it was part of the jager schnitzel entree or the duck... But the salad was amazing. Everything was pickled and very intense flavor. Both entrees were great and i also like the fact that they have a kid's menu that serves german food. (I was afraid the kids menu would have simple items like burger and or chicken tenders, but that's not the case here.) the lunch portions were perfectly sized.... granted its not "texas sized" but it did its job and i left satisfied. What i really like about the place is the interior decor. It looks like the owners brought back so many trinkets, souvenirs and photos from their trips to Germany and it makes it feel more authentic. This was actually one of the saving grace from waiting to get our food, i tried to look around to see all the different things on displayed. Service was great. I'll definitely be back!

For lunch, the Reuben sandwich is hands-down one of the best I've ever had. The corned beef is incredibly tender (they pressure-cook it for hours), piled high on perfect rye with just the right amount of sauerkraut, Swiss, and dressing. It's huge and flavorful, definitely order it! For dinner, we love the Oma's Meatballs served over spätzle and topped with that rich Jäger gravy. So comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. We've also tried their short ribs during a special brunch offering and they were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. Everything we've ordered--whether schnitzel, brats, pretzels, or sides has been excellent. The atmosphere is so fun and immersive with the German decor, great beer selection, and friendly service every time. We've brought friends, family, and out-of-town company here multiple times, and everyone has raved about their meal. I can't say for certain what caused it, but guessing maybe something from the display case, but the flavor was so HORRIBLE that I only managed two bites of each before throwing them away because I didn't feel comfortable eating any more in fear of getting sick. The coffee frosting also had an old, stale coffee flavor. The chocolate cake was better. It was good, but not great. The cake itself wasn't dry, but it wasn't super moist either. One detail I did appreciate was that each slice was wrapped with paper along the sides to help keep it fresh, and not drying out in th I would have gladly taken the cakes back, but I had purchased them to go and was already too far away by the time I tasted them. As someone who absolutely loves cake, I truly wanted this place to become a favorite. It was disappointing because I had such high hopes based on the reviews. While the atmosphere and customer service were wonderful, the cakes simply didn't meet my expectations.

Ordered from two disinterested employees that were not friendly at all despite being super slow business wise by the looks of it to get some food to go as we were leaving. Ordered currywurst and gave the standard normal tip. They were cooking/letting one brat sit on the grill when I walked up I noticed. A little expensive. Left to go pick more food up while they were making it. Picked the food up and brought it home when I discovered they gave me a regular brat in a bun with no sauce or anything else in the box. It looked exactly like the one that was on the grill when I opened the box, which isn't a big deal if it was prepared to the order as currywust. I get you prep for orders I guess when it's busy. I don't think that was the case for my visit. I can't say for certain it was the same food since I left, but based on how it was received, I'll lean towards it wasn't prepared to order. Your mileage may vary. This part is reviewing what I received. It was definitely nowhere as good as the last time I had their normal brat and was dry. They cut the brat a lot, which is fine if the brat stays juicy normally but they killed it with this one and cooked it too long I guess, but it was so dry. I don't remember any of the full brats that I've ordered in the past being prepared like this but I'm not the chef. I only ended up eating a couple bites before throwing it away. I should have checked the box, but I assumed with no other orders and lots of time standing around chit chatting that they would get the only order correct. I felt a little awkward walking up, waiting and waiting, and then having to try to get their attention to pick the order up after obviously being there 5 minutes before to place the order without anyone else waiting in line to get the food. I wish I had some of the curry sauce or onions or something to add some moisture. I think they just didn't care or wanted to mess with someone. I was super friendly and thankful for their help at the time. Disappointed to say the least as the currywurst is what I wanted. I definitely think something happened when they moved from the entrance on the first floor. This used to be a delicious, busy, and reliable favorite. Not so much anymore. What a shame.

The brat is actually longer/ more than I expected, so I'm kinda happy. One definitely won't make you full however - so prep for that. Food kinda made my coworker a little hungry as well haha.
